Description

A very standard comic book movie.
Nothing special about this film, but it was no where near as bad as people said it was. It was for some of the times enjoyable. Not bad, but could have been a lot better.

This is a terrible film. Not Martin Campbell or Ryan Reynolds can save it.
WB tried to do a Marvel and the film ended up being unwatchable.
DC needs to be majestic and dark. Not funny and meaningless. Avoid this dross and watch the excellent GA animated movies. At least someone there knows what to do.

Get the extended version!!!!!!
Okay, this has been trashed by many critics and comic book geeks and understandably, they have a point. However, I decided to get the extended version and Viola!!!!! A film worth 5 stars! Pay the extra and get the extended version, it all melds together and makes sense and does not look crammed and rushed.

ive heard that this film was a dissapointment but i strongly disagree it's an amazing film packed with everything that a superhero movie needs action,romance,empathy and a great storyline which really puts this film up as one of my favourites. I would say if you can watch it because of it's well acted all round preformance.

Good action sci fi flick
Enjoyed the film, good plot and storyline.
Good acting for most part for this genre of films, like the tongue and cheek approach, enjoyable.
Hope they make the sequel.

Stupid and over priced
I was shocked, not just when I saw this movie but at the $250,000,000 budget it had, and why would anybody spend that amount of money on this movie I don't know. But the fact is that this film is tripe, the plot or story (if you like) is lame and predictable , the script is cheesy and cheep and I wasn't expecting something like Shakespeare at all. The only redeeming factors of this film is it's audience of kids aged between 5 and 11, the special effects and that's about it. If you want to see a good superhero movie just watch the dark knight or any of the X men movies just anything but this.

I was really looking forward to this film and wasn't disappointed, although critics gave it mixed reviews in my opinion the film contained drama, action and a few laughs. Ryan Reynolds made a great Hal Jordan and the supporting cast really fitted the film. The special effects are amazing. The storyline was bait confusing the first time round and it takes a while to get to the action. But on second watch all fitted together. iTunes is bait pricey so look of for the Better Value Triple Play !

Good romp
I remember this getting panned by the reviewers and apparently a few here are doing the same. This is a good action film with excellent special effects. I guess the reason people don't like it is the humour which is very different to other superhero type films. I liked it, I liked the main guy and I think it's worth at least a rent.

Kinda fun
Yeah ... a superhero with a magic ring that can make green cartoony thingies leap out of it. OK, not the best of starts. But Ryan Reynolds has fun with it, and if you give it a chance you will too. Oh, and watch the longer version if you can. The whole movie makes a little more sense if you do.

What a mess
Let's start off by saying this film is awful and a waste of time. The film suffers from weak writing, unconvincing visual effects, below average acting and sloppy direction. I really wanted to like this film, but I found myself despising the people who flushed tons of superhero mythology down the toilet.

Better than 'The Last Airbender'.
The title says it all. This film may not have been as great as the comics it was based on, but I gotta admit that it has great special effects, action thrills and performance by Ryan Reynolds. The acting and music is good aswell. So even though some people gave this film negative reviews, it's without a doubt better than 'The Last Airbender'. Period.

Well...
Well i rented this as thought the trailer looked not to bad. Well i was wrong. Don't get me wrong the CGI was really cool but the plot was shocking. I know it is wrong to type cast some one but Blake Lively is Serria Vanderwoodson (Gossip Girl) no matter what. You really can not compare this film to any of the other films out there that came from comics.
If you want a mind numbing film then its great to rent.

It was okay, it looked good from the trailer but I think it was probably the worst movie of Ryan Reynolds!! I mean don't get me wrong it was okay, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it!!

Yay Ryan Reynolds
I personally loved the film, then again I love anything DC lol. I don't know why some people say its so bad, maybe if I was a die hard dc comic fan I would understand. Must say the special effects and CGI were incredible, it all looked so real. Oh and you gotta love Mr Reynolds in whatever movie it is. He really looks a Hal Jordan to me.

DISAPPOINTMENT OVERALL
I watched the film, being the DC fan that I was. The special effects were good, the girl was okay, Ryan Reynolds was amazing but it built up too quickly and the final act was disappointing. I don't get what people see in this film. I'm being generous giving it a 3. If you're a loyal Dc fan, don't WATCH!

I really can't understand the bad reviews for this film! Bad acting, silly childish plot, poor humor!! Come on... This film is what it says on the tin! I really didn't watch this film to further my knowledge of any genre, it just is what it is, a silly sci fi film that's worth a watch. Wouldn't expect to be thinking about it in ten minutes from now!

The Film is Pretty Good.
It's certainly one of the better films in the DC Comics bunch, especially in this age of the Marvel Extended Universe with Iron Man and co.
Not a rival to DC's most popular film series in Nolan's Batman trilogy but if you like comic book based movies or have ever been a fan of the Green Lantern in any pre-existing medium then you should be able to find something in this to keep you satisfied.

One of the worst movies I have ever had the misfortune to watch, walked out half way through and got my money back. Mr Reynolds is possibly the worst actor of today and his 'humour' is just cringeworthy. Dreadful script, awful special effects.

A Bit of Fun
I read some bad reviews for this, but decided to watch it and make my own mind up. It was good fun a bit silly some times but hey its a guy dressed in green. I would definitely give it a try. Enjoy!
