I love this film. It is a classic Disney movie and represents a beautiful young girl on a quest to discover what she wants.

Terrible, worst Pixar movie I've seen, You're better than this Pixar.

Characters engaging and endearing in this heartwarming and beautifully made movie. We loved it as a family and was definetely wowed by the red hair and blue eyes.

Finally decided to watch this. The graphics are great, music is wonderful and the main character is possibly the most annoying Disney lead which makes the plot just average. However much I have cartoon character hair envy it doesnt make up for a bratty personality which the story doesnt allow you to fall in love with.

My favourite film ever Brave is epic and Merida is the best princess ever and I am very like her I love archery and horses. I give it five stars! It is awesome and I recommend it to young and old. It's fantastic and thrilling. You should definitely buy this! I'm going to soon and I watch it all the time. I have it on permanent record on my tv it's incredible and I love it. It's sooo good the best Disney Pixar film ever! It's brilliant I can't even find words good enough to describe how much I love it i am like a second Merida please watch this film!! The horse Angus is brilliant too. Buy this it's so worth it! You must watch or you are missing out on so much! Watch it for me! Please? It's great Merida is by far my favourite Disney princess we have a lot in common. She's the best Disney princess yet. It's a shame that a lot of people hate her. But I love her and this is my favourite film ever!

i watched this and it was really good but wasnt really the Disney Pixar type films like Toy Story and Monsters Inc. but its pretty good though. U should see it.

Not to good didn't enjoy it as much as films like tangled,Madagascar and parental guidance

Not the least successful Pixar film - that must surely be Cars 2! - but a close second. The film is still better than most other CGI films, but by Pixar standards it just falls short. It's great to have a film that focuses on the mother-daugter relationship, but it's just not half as inventive or funny as Pixar's previous films. Here's hoping Pixar won't go into a decline like Disney did!

Truly great kids film with plenty of humour for grown ups

This movie is ok but I would not say it is the best, the story is quite cool but it is a bit well boring its a bit like any other movie, movie starts, meet the characters, something happens then its a quest then bad things happen, a fight then some. Sad moments then everything is ok again I do not love the movie but I do like it so if you like mystery, Scotland, funny bits, some horror, fights and magic then you should defiantly get this move.

A good film from Pixar but nothing to take animation to another level.

Just to warn parents of young children, this movie is actually a PG (not a U as it states here) and contains several scenes that small children will definitely find very frightening. I found this out this evening and have scared my 3 year old out of his wits and had to turn the film off before it was half way through. It's a great film, but unsuitable for very young children.

It is a amazing movie for family's. and I love it in cinemas!!!!!!!!

As an adult I can say that I Thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommend it to adults and children alike.

It's better than 'Cars 2' but it doesn't seem that much of a Pixar masterpiece. Kids may find most scenes funny, but adults are out of luck here with what looks like a collection of bits from 'How To Train Your Dragon', 'Brother Bear', 'Tangled' and other stuff. The story was kinda bad with the whole "turning the mother into a bear" thing, and the main character will not be on my favorite characters list, I asure you!

An enjoyable film, with beautiful artwork, from the Princesses hair, to the Dark Forest. The Scottish Highlands are captured beautifully, and the colours are bold are vivid. With this is mind, I would say that it is worth the extra few ponds or dollars to buy this film in HD, as it really does enhance the film wonderfully, making it even more enchanting.

It does however lack a bit of the old Pixar magic. Their usual humour isn't as present as it usually is, and the story line is one of their less inventive and it's no Up where poignancy is concerned, although it does have its moments. However the sheer beauty of this film makes it unmissable. And if you can, please do get the HD version of this film, as it makes this Pixar a fil one to remember

Charlie and Freya rate this as the best film in the universe as it tells a great story. Charlie thought it would be rubbish, but now its his beast ever film.

Love this movie; the animation and music is amazing and characters are truly magical. Pixar have really captured the magic and mystery of Scotland. This is the first movie my wee red headed 2 year old daughter watched all the way through; mesmerised from start to finish.

This film is brilliant for all ages and great high definition it is probably the best Disney film ever they have took it to a whole new level and me and my family absolutely loved it and it is perfect for a family night. I recommend this :)

Such a beautifully crafted movie! It makes me cry every time and laugh every time, I'm not just saying it. Merida is the most relatable and versatile heroine we've met with Disney. A sequel would be great.

Best I have seen in terms of animation. Storyline and pace really for kids and less so for parents. Enjoyed it.

Watched this & thought it was good viewing...

Another job well done from the people at Disney and Pixar, although it's 4 stars from me for the following reason. The storyline is a little weak at times and a bit long-winded by the time the queen turns into a bear and Merida doing her best to unveil the real truth to her father and the other village residents. However, the final battle scenes later had me gripped to my screen and at least it turned out happy in the end of it all. And not to mention that just like all the Pixar films, there's humour a plenty to keep audiences of all ages happy; it's just a shame that most of that seemed to come quite early on in the film, but on a more positive aspect, it may have fitted quite well to the plot, owing to the way it all pans out through and through. So, in short, very good but not up there with Pixar's greats.

While the animation was beautiful (the norm for Pixar movies), the story and setting were very lacking. They had so much history and imagery of Scotland to work with and they didn't use any of it. There was no villain to speak of. I just didn't care much for any of the characters. I think I'm being generous with my 3 stars. It wasn't an awful movie but I can't imagine myself ever watching it again.

I so wish pixar would bring out classic films like they used too. Films like toy story were so much better than this, they seem to be relying on prequels and sequels now and for this well its not great watchable, with good affects.

I guess I had set my hopes too high, I was so excited to see this. The film started amazingly, I was excited to see what was going to happen. When it got to the plot, the story line was pretty rubbish. It couldve been so much better. Worth a watch once, I'd recommend it to rent.

certainly one of the weakest of the pixar films. lacks much of the humour and charm we usually see from them and the plot really isn't anything to write home about. its not a bad film it just seems very focused towards a specific demographic, unlike many other pixar films that really appeal to all ages. if its your cup of tea you'll enjoy it, if not then you'll find it fairly uninspiring.

To be honest, I love Disney, however this left a lot to be desired. A whole lot of not a lot im afraid. I would suggest waiting to get it cheaper, as its probably a once maybe twice at best movie.

Its an ok film, though we've seen it all before in tangled, and Pocahontas etc, similar but different stories.bit boring actually, found it hard to want to keep watching, knew the story, knew the jokes the the ending before id seen it, shame I'm one of disney pixar biggest fans. This just didn't cut it.

After hearing mixed reviews about this film, i decided to rent it and see for myself, what it was about, and if your after a heart warming film about a mother and daughters love and relationship then this is a good film which shows just that. the music goes great with the emotions the audience can feel when watching and enhances it. i personally am a great disney fan, having watched disney films since i was a child. and i give it a thumbs up!

I am Scottish myself and was really looking forward to seeing a film about the place with a great storyline from Pixar, but i found it quite tedious. It was quite slow and repetitive, such a shame!

Mixed reviews from some people but ask any kids and they all say the same. EXCELLENT. AMAZING. GREAT. WANNA SEE IT AGAIN.

I didn't know what to expect when I saw the trailer for the first time apart from the preconception it will probably be good because pixar created it. I had heard some very positive reviews and now I am reflecting that. The film has a very strong story based around the mother daughter relationship bringing some heart and depth to the characters whilst still maintaing the cartoony humour that people have come to love from pixar. This film is either my first second favourite film from pixar competing against Monsters INC but that doesn't really matter because of its brilliance.

I would defiantly recommend this to anyone who loves pixar and there previous films as it doesn't disappoint on any level. 9/10

Life changing

The story line is not the best Disney studios have come up with. The part with the bear is long and weak. So far only 3 stars. However, Merida is a bonnie lassie and a strong heroin. The Scottish landscapes are braw and the music by Julie Fowlis is of an enchanting beauty that is high up on the disney film music top list. Overall 4,5 stars.
