I read many of the reviews before I watched this ... And many of them rated it poorly ... But I like to sample things for myself ....... If your looking for something that's funny, daft and really weird On occasion and You don't want to use your brain and like daft comedy this is for you. I really enjoyed it but I do have an odd sense of humour !! :-)

It was so funny. One of my favorite film.

Not amazing, but a thoroughly enjoyable, easy to watch movie! Don't understand all the hate for it from other iTunes reviews. I would recommend it. VinceVaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade are class, so funny! Ben Stiller makes a good leading man. Give it a go...

I found it was innovative and had a really fresh feel to it, the comedy is good and I like all the actors. Great to see Ayoade with such a strong role he is hilarious, I would say it is a 'guy film' but defintiely worth seeing

I don't understand all the negative feedback. What a great film and one of my favourite comedies. Some people have no sense of humour I guess. Oh well, their loss.

A lot better than people made out

I can't believe people don't like this film! I absolutely loved it! I found it hilariously funny with a different concept to most comedies.

It's funny but it is not for young children at all but it is really funny and very good actors.

Despite a great cast who all acted well, the plot is reasonably predictable, the gags have (mostly) all been seen before. The 3 stars are for a good cast. Not an awful film, but not a good one either

Was absolutely awesome! So funny didn't get bored at all throughout the whole movie! It's a must watch film!

I am not a fan of silly American Comedies, however their is some truly ridiculously funny scenes involving aliens, and what single men do for fun when they get together - (Dance with dead aliens and drink beer during stake outs)! I feel the casting is a good match, I have never been a Ben Stiller fan, but the English comedian balances the whole film out nicely. Definitely worth one watch!

By far worst film of this decade painfully bad

Read the negative reviews but took a chance on renting it. Very glad I did. Took about 25 mins to get going but was actually pretty decent and one of the best Stiller movies he has done in years. Some proper laugh out loud gags too which I wasn't expecting after all the awful reviews on here.

Having watched the trailer i thought the film looked amusing, sadly apart from those parts there was nothing funny in the film, too many background stories that don't develop enough for the viewer to care about, some sexy girls thrown in for no real reason plus some v dull aliens....

It takes a lot to turn a movie off before the end when you've waited 2hrs to download it and planned an evening watching it...but this is THAT bad. Don't waste your cash.

15 rated movies vary widely with regards to their content, some great effects however this film is particularly crude containing a great deal of unnecessary (IMHO) bad language and profanity, it's actually put me right off renting iTunes movies, standards seem to heading downhill.

I got subtitles in a foreign language at different parts of the movie does anyone know why?

Without doubt one of the worst movies i have ever seen ! When you look at the cast you think this could be quite promising but i am really shocked that actors like Ben Stiller would actually want to put their name on the credits. The film just goes no where, the script is awful and it is honestly just a complete bore. I don't even think the writers, producers whoever really knew what audience they were aiming at because it is simply all over the place. Dreadful, simply dreadful.

I am absolutely obsessed with this film I have it on blu ray and I just love it I think people need to take this film for what it is a sci-fi comedy vince Vaughan is dead pan as usual love Ben Stiller Jonah Hill lost a lot of weight besides it is great take time to appreciate it. And please stop trying to put people off let them decide your not film critics why don't you join those idiots at rotten tomatoes there a bunch of know it alls they get wrong about every film

Although there were a few amusing bits in the film, in general it was very poor. If you've seen the preview you've pretty much seen the funny parts. I didn't make it to the end because it just didn't improve. All in all I couldn't really recommend this one.

Thinks people should stop comparing films with the same actors in due to the fact it's a completely different story and film so watch it for what it is not what you want it to be

I though it was funny as hell!

Anyone giving this more than 1 star must be from another planet. Shockingly bad. Stiller et al hang your heads in shame.

It's no Wedding Crashers or Dodgeball

I'm surprised at such diverse reviews as best or worst mvoie ever - one or five stars and little in between - as it's neither that good or bad, and didn't justify such an extreme reaction with me, and yes my IQ is well into triple digits TYVM! It's typical Stiller-Vaughn; fast talking, irreverend, close to the knuckle rudeness, boy humour, and there's bad language. You know what to expect from Stiller-Vaughn. There are funny moments, clever use of music, and I'm sure it's one of those films that if you did sit through it again, you'd see more, but I won't. Whilst funny in small measure, it was entertaining for an hour or so, but not original particularly or unpredictable and very Hollywood. Jonah Hill was good, in a slightly different, harder-nosed, role, and Richard Ayoade - wonderful Brit actor from IT Crowd - played less uber-geek and more wannabe player-about-town regular Joe. The characters weren't uni-dimentional, which added a bit. SFX were okay. Liked the group dymamic and how it evolved. Still average, nothing to write home about. Not Seth Rogan's best work.

This film made me laugh from the get go, the acting was brilliant and I thought the cast worked really well together to make it as good as was well worth the buy.

Nobody can tell you if you like it or not this is why they have invented trailers so you can have a sneak peak of the film!!

If you think you will like it then get it!

Dreadful. Nobody in the room laughed at this apart from a couple of forced laughs. So awful we decided to switch off before the end- and that doesn't happen often ! One of the worst unfunny films Ive ever (1/2).

Just a light hearted funny film you'd expect from Ben Stiller, not brill but not bad at all.

I so wanted to like this but its basically like the Burbs with a lot of swearing and pointless shock value elements. Its not funny, clever, well acted or memorable. Shame as it could have been better if they focused more on character and plot and less on shock value.

I love pretty much most of Ben Stillers work, but something went terribly wrong in this film. Vince Vaughn, who's usually very good totally over acted. The concept of the film could have worked, but the script and director totally messed this up. Very disappointing, and actually got through 30mins before turning it off. What a shame:( I wouldn't waste your money on this, it really is that bad sadly..

Not a great fan of Ben Stiller, and this dump of a movie has done nothing but confirm my already low opinion of his work. The Watch is crude, childish and as hilariously funny as root canal work sans anaesthetic. Actually I'd prefer the root canal work. If your IQ is into treble figures you'll want to avoid this unadulterated drivel.

Considering the cast you'd expect this to be comedy gold right? I did, and I wrong! I wanted this to be great but it sadly isn't funny. Like at all. One to avoid

I'm a big Ben Stiller fan but this is probably Ben Stillers' worst film...not a patch on say, Dodge Ball..almost as if they were ad libbing some scenes....which would be great if they were remotely funny. Don't buy it...just rent it...if you must....but don't say I didn't warn you.

Its a great film! Alot of laughs with a small twist. The roles were played perfectly. I rented it but now i wish i have bourght it! I highly recommend!
