Description

A modern remake of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, with a female talk show host Carol playing Scrooge. Carol is a fabulously wealthy and enormously successful TV talk show host caring for nothing other than the money and fame that her job provides. Carol mercilessly bullies and harangues everyone with whom she works, from her producer Jimmy to her long suffering assistant - a single mother who dares not risk losing her job.

Hollywood takes a classic plot and then utterly destroys it in the worst USA tradition. To top if off, the acting is simply appalling! It epitomises the ever-decreasing standards and garbage that the US film industry has been drip feeding us in recent years.

If you have nothing to do on a Sunday afternoon.

If you have nothing to do then worth watching… but don't expect too much from this film. It is predictable but probably because it is a remake of a remake. But like most remakes, it really doesn't compare.

Ah, I remember watching this film on TV last year! Admittedly it isn't a very good film, but if you feel like watching a "meh" Christmas film with a cute "moral" at the end then go ahead and watch this.
Predictable with cringeworthy performances by Gary Coleman and William Shatner, but this film is worth a watch if you have time to kill or you need to learn the true meaning of Christmas because your heart is cold and no one loves you.
