I grew up at his age in the film and it's spot on life from the 80's

One of those films you must watch before you die ...

I first watched this film when i was 15 on a plane back from America, virtually everyone else on the plane was asleep. I chose this film not really knowing what to expect, just for something to watch, and man oh man, I am so glad I made the decision to watch it. It has had a great influence on my perception of life and my morals in general
Let me get one thing clear to the small minded, ignorant, dumb and racist people, This film is an ANTI RACISM film, and those certain people who use certain scenes as an excuse to back up their twisted views, they've completely missed the point of the film.
A fantastic independent British film with some incredible performances, a great director too, If you haven't seen some of his other work, watch them.
