Description

From the director of The Blair Witch Project, Midnight Son is the story of Jacob (Zak Kilberg, Zombie Strippers!, Lincoln Heights), a young man confined to a life of isolation, due to a rare skin disorder that prevents him from being exposed to sunlight. His world opens up when he meets Mary (Maya Parish, How I Met Your Mother), a local bartender, and falls in love. Tragically, Jacob's actions become increasingly bizarre as he struggles to cope with the effects of his worsening condition. Forced by the disease to drink human blood for sustenance, he must control his increasingly violent tendencies as local law enforcement narrow their focus on him as a suspect in a series of grisly murders. Directed by Scott Leberecht, Midnight Son is a twisting, terrifying tale of vampirism and humanity and how the two conditions can intertwine.

Apple TV: Customer Reviews

Thank you iTunes

I don't know what the price of this was when it came onto to iTunes, but I purchased this because it was very cheap, about £2.99, and I thought 'what the hell...' I expected this to boring and dull as Apple don't do its customers any favours, but to my surprise this is an excellent piece of work. Empire online gave it a respectable review too… A very worthy addition to my list…

Brilliant

Just watch this ..and I have to say one of the best films I've ever seen ..no flashy special effects..no screaming and yelling..just three solid performances from basically just three actors...The storyline is brilliant performances were just outstanding...i've only ever seen one other the film which made really uncomfortable viewing and that was Hannibal..don't expect shocks and thrills in this film all you will get is just a great little story and boy oh boy what a knockout ending..loved it

Fantastic.

I-tunes should do a user profile thing where you can track people's recommendations because it looks like Abbey Roadie has precisely the same taste as me - i.e. awesome. Terrific film that does indeed breathe new life (blood) into a more than overdone and tired genre and one that you'll remember for a long time after.
A careful, beautifully filmed and acted character study into what a vampire's life must really be like. Don't bother if you want the usual cliches but if you want a ponderous, intelligent, different, and deeply romantic vampire film without all the teenage angst and drama, give it a go. Great stuff.

A slightly different take on the vampire genre

Its nice to see a different angle to the usual vampire genre. A simple story/plot allows you to understand and follow the character development with ease. If you like vampire films then you will not be disappointed.

Vanity film that presses the right buttons

New life has been breathed into a tired and overdone genre. Sit back and relish this feast.
