4K and subtitles for the hard of hearing please

Why not 4k when it is available?

2023 and still no 4K? Ridiculous.

Where is the 4K?

The Bourne Identity, ET, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End, The Mummy Trilogy, and this. ALL are 4K in other territories and despite years of complaining STILL nothing done. I even wrote to Universal Support U.K. and they acknowledged and forwarded to their business team for consideration and escalation for upgrades. That was in April. Please upgrade these and stop putting them in the sale. We’ll buy them when you give us the versions everybody else is getting around the world. Universal are the absolute worst studio for keeping their iTunes catalogue up to date in the U.K. Incredible incompetence and treating us differently. Even leading off the special features half the time, even when they do upgrade the movie. Sort it out!! Gladiator should be both theatrical and extended in 4K with all special features included. Update nearly a year on: Still they haven’t updated it to 4K or put the theatrical cut up - when other regions have both and in 4K. I’ve emailed them countless times. Sometimes they acknowledge it and pass it on to the ‘relevant team’ and most of the time they don’t reply. Appalling, and clueless that there are thousands waiting in the wings to spend money - but the oversight of an incorrect submission to iTunes continues. Gladiator, E.T., The Mummy - massive titles they refuse to upgrade in the U.K.

The US iTunes Store has this film available in 4K thanks to its distributor Paramount who have been truly excellent in remastering its classics into 4K Dolby Vision.

Sadly the UK iTunes Store film is distributed by Universal who do not have an interest in 4K Dolby Vision / Atmos versions for the UK market. Sadly, this is the case far over. Simply avoid purchases from Universal if their pooor offering does not match your high standards.

US have 4K, Why do we have only HD?

I don’t have a 4K TV so I can’t comment on 4k but the extended cut is great. Couple of additional great scenes. Original cut, director’s cut, extended cut it doesn’t really matter with Gladiator. It’s a classic & it’s a must have on my laptop for when I’m travelling. I watched it on a flight to Rome recently as the next day I was going to the Colosseum, it was the perfect movie to watch on the flight & I couldn’t wait to get to the Colosseum the following day. This movie is a must have for anyone’s iTunes collection. So many great quotes, it won’t let u down.

Why is it not 4K yet like it is On iTunes USA??😡😡👎🏻👎🏻

Beware before buying any Universal Studios movies, (Dreamworks is owned by Universal Studios). Every couple of moths they take there films of sale and relist the exact same movie again. You do get to keep the old movie (for how long is to be seen), but the downside is that they don't appear on search results, and you use Siri to play them, and the ones that do appear on the search results are the relisted ones asking you to buy them again. also, any movies that has iTunes extras, the extras menu disappears form the movies home page. There is no reason for Universal to relist them, and the only reason they do, is to get you to buy the same movie again. They are the only company on iTunes that do this, they have done it with Shrek 1, 2, 3 and 4, The Mummy 1, 2 and 3, Jurassic Park 1, 2 and 3, Kung Fu Panda 1, 2 and 3, and countless others. I personally have over 40 Universal/Dreamworks movies, and every single one has been taken of sale and relisted.

It’s really sad that a company as big as Universal Studios resorts to, for lake of a better word, extort their customers. I for one, will not be paying any more Universal Studios and Dreamworks movies on iTunes until apple steps in and puts a stop to this behaviour.

Americans got it, why haven’t we? 😭

Well done Universal but where is the 4k HDR version you just released on 4k Blu-ray?!!

So pleased my favourite film is now here with its extended version!!
