It is some what better than Halloween

I actually thought this was a good film. I didn't read any reviews before like I normally do and I'm glad I didn't because I feel that they are unfairly negative. Thought the actors were actually good. Maybe a little too much gore compared to original. I'm actually hoping for another...hoping Jed will continue getting his revenge for August 19!!!

This is one of those films where they get a bunch of good looking actors and put them in a film to save the poor acting. No way near as good as the original, and i think this film hurts the other Texas chainsaw massacre films which were actually good basically this film would have been better not being made

Don't bother - this is poor to say the least. The original is still the best - almost zero blood and yet far more tension and horror than any sequel, prequel, or remake.

Bad acting, bad story line, waste of money renting or buying.

Stupid starts good ends crap

Basically this film is filled with cleavage and gore to please male viewers. The acting is terrible, no plot, things escalate too quickly, and it was just boring. The original is great. This is not.

can't understand the bad reviews gotta tae a film for wot it is and this is a good film well acted good story blood & guts wot more do u want if u want something deeper something else

Well, if you really must see this then rent and don t buy, at one point it was more of a comedy than a horror, if uv watched all the paint dry then go ahead :/

Really poor, started off ok thanks to the fit bird, but it's very unrealistic & quite frankly,very poor, the storyline the acting, but worst of all the ending, it leaves you thinking as if that would happen, stupid.

Also poor graphics.

What a complete waste of time this film was. It completely forgets what the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was about. The original was terrifying, shocking and crazy, but also an original horror masterpiece. This film is filled with every horror cliche there is, no storyline to speak of, the acting was absent and the final 'twist' (if you can call if that) was pathetic. I was really looking forward to this film but it was one of the worst horror films I have seen. Rematch the original film or even the remake, anything but this crap!

No hyperbole, it is so bad. Terrible acting, nonsensical plot, bizarre set pieces and idiot psychology. There is nothing truly horrifying about this - the gore is dull and often poorly done. The original is a masterpiece of sustained terror (with almost no gore incidentally). The people who made this do not understand horror and they certainly of do not understand how to make a coherent film. I was swayed by the number of decent reviews here - I can now only assume these are ironic or satirical - and thought it'd be a fun horror. It's not. Avoid.

Worth a watch, quite entertaining and fun. Nothing ground breaking though so don't expect too much...

I love the chainsaw m movies so was looking forward to watching and I think money well spent great story line and acting. Really enjoyed it!

Good to see one where it carrys on from the last film. And a great ending a must see.

Great film. Great acting from the Americans, the story line was absolutely brilliant. This chainsaw carries on where the original left off and follows on seamlessly. The gore was brilliant and jed sawyer was amazing. Got to see this film. Best film for a long, long time. Well done : !

When I went to the cinema to see this, I had high expectations. I came out impressed. It's corny, it's campy and its silly, now this movie is actually a sequel to the ORIGINAL Texas chainsaw massacre in 1974 so it carries on straight where the movie left of where Sally jumps onto the truck.

Now this movie isn't the best in the franchise and yet it isn't the worst but I'd recommend you checking it out.
