A funny, yet heartwarming film.

The late Robin Williams once again plays an extraordinary character who wants to be accepted into society. The running time was a bit too long and the time skips were very jarring, but apart from that, this film hits all the good notes. :)

Different and clever, but not entertaining

This is a different and clever film BUT it's not entertaining. It doesn't fit into any particular genre - it certainly is not comedy, although it has a few amusing moments. Ultimately, it is a deliberately sad film. Watch it if you have a particular interest in the philosophy of what defines us as human beings. Otherwise, there is more fun to be had elsewhere.

Underrated and utterly brilliant

Anyone expecting a Robin Williams performance of hysteria is going to be disappointed, yet this was probably one of his best films. Based on a book co-written by Isaac Asimov, this is a film that gives an idea of where and how robots could work in the future, and where things may go wrong. This is funny, thought-provoking, sad and happy all in one incredibly absorbing package. Buy it or rent it, either way I am sure that you will enjoy it and add it to a Robin Williams collection. It has stood the test of time very well indeed.

Great Film, worth watching time and again

Such a touching film, with an edge of humour as always with Robin’s creations. The film has also been made in such a way that although you think you ono what’s coming, there’s always a surprise just around the corner and a great one at that!
