Nice to see this finally get the 4K treatment but yet again we are short changed!

Why do these studios consistently favour our US counterparts by offering them Dolby Vision and Atmos but not the UK?

Nowadays action movies are shaky cam, awful editing and awful ceography. But this movie changed that with its beautiful camera work, amazing stunts and lovely ceogaphy. This is how action movies should be.

The acting is good except for the lady assassin I didn’t think she gave it her best. But i won’t give it four stars for that just a small

complaint.

everything else is really good especially Keanu Reeves who gives his greatest performance yet.

Also the cinematography in the night club was stunning with some amazing hand to hand combat scenes between Keanu reeves who actually did most of his own stunts.

This film and John Wick: Chapter 2 is sold on iTunes USA with 4K Dolby Vision and English subtitles and with the Dolby Atmos soundtrack included.

This is a film that I enjoy and I would like to buy this film, but I will not buy this film without English subtitles.

What I find odd is that I recently saw ‘John Wick’ on Netflix and it had English subtitles!

Please add English subtitles, CC subtitles or SDH subtitles and the AD audio description.

Out on 4k disk in the U.K.; c’mon guys make it happen.

Great film, lacks any kind of subtitling for the hard of hearing though, unacceptable in this day and age.

Reeves is amazing he is able to create a story hut more than that the movie is amazing because of him, his general dead pan face is exactly what this character requires.

The story though simple is brilliant and makes you believe that John wick is as scary as the volleys make him. I felt it a mix of taken with a bit of Harry Potter with the back story of the currency and hotels.

If you’ve never seen you must.

I felt as if it had a bit of a basic plot but apart from that it’s brilliant the action sequences are incredible.

John Wick is something special. It takes as much time setting up elaborate action sequences as it does the world with which it all takes place in. We are shown a criminal underworld where, if you are connected, many powerful people know who you are and show you respect. John Wick was connected but he got out. He is the rare killer who has found peace, and he is grateful for that peace. Some young kids steal that from him and he does what he does best, he wages a one man war against the Russian Mafia. It might sound like the film takes quite a leap but it all makes sense. The motives of John Wick and the people who get in the way of his bullets are all very clear, even if it does come across as rather simple. That's the plot at it's most basic. Then there's the action. The film is directed by Keanu Reeves's stuntman from The Matrix, so this guy knows action. There are sequences that flow so smoothly it puts other action films and their quick cuts to shame. Keanu Reeves moves so fluidly throughout the film and comes across as such a natural that the only disappointment is that we have not seen him like this before. Along the way are plenty of character actors, fans of The Matrix and The Wire will recognize a few people then there are more obvious ones like Ian McShane and Willem Dafoe. Everyone seems to be having a good time. That is another plus for this movie. It get's dark at times but overall it is quite fun, not very chipper, but fun. I cannot recommend this movie enough. I believe it is a must see for action fans and for anyone looking for something a bit different from the usual fare!

John wick is the best action movie out there very violent it is Keanu Reeves at his best

All action and shooting but storyline is too basic and characters are one dimensional.

His dog gets killed. There are lots of bad people. When all the bad people are dead the film ends.

Keanu Reeves is the lead of this film " whoa" but don't let that put you off or the fact this has one of the most simple plots ever. This is a straight up blood pulsing action flick. In fact if I may say the ranks up there with die hard and taken. Sit back turn of the brain and enjoy.

I've read some of the poor reviews on here & just laughed!!! This film is a pure out & out action film & not a mega millions production! If that's what you want go buy lord of the rings or similar!

This is just a pure revenge shoot em up film! It's the kind of film that will just take your mind off things & not have to think for an hour & a half & that's it! No more no less, if you're expecting more you'll be disappointed that's for sure!

The acting isn't oscar material either, the film is just what it is. Take it for what it is & you'll enjoy every minute! I've given it 5 stars as I watched it when having a bad day & it put all my troubles aside for the hour and half it lasted which was just what I needed that day .... oh plus I really like mindless violence films too 👍🏻👊🏻

Absolutely loved this, even though I don't usually like revenge films. As a revenge film it is not big on intricate plot or subtlety, but it is really well made and gripping throughout.

Move over The Raid. There's a new guy in town: John Wick.

Hopefully none of us go on a killing rampage if our dog was killed by thugs. I lost the body count in the end. However, what an unadulterated performance by Keanu Reeves. Looking menacing, great fighting, driving and killing scenes. If you like violent, gore packed action, you'll love this film. Fantastic!

Really bad script really bad acting really bad everything. Reeves have had some good movies like Speed, Matrix, Constantine, Bill and Teds excellent adventures. But that's it all other movies including this one is just horrible. Either good movies are not coming his way or he is picking the bad movies to act. I just would like to give Keanu an advice , you actually can say no to act in a movie. In this so called movie, he has a very vague reason to attack and kill everyone, than we follow him for an hour and a half to get his so called stupid revenge. Without spoiling for anyone, it is something in the line of ... someone got an apple from your hand and you start killing everyone who is related to the dude who stole the apple. It is that vague. I would never ever ever watch this movie again. Do not buy even rent it.

John Wick is experiencing a difficult period in his life, the loss of his wife is pushed over the edge when some unsuspecting thugs steal his car and beat his dog to death, the dog being a gift from his dying wife. In return, John Wick returns to ways of old and destorys all involved and anybody who dare get in his way. An enjoyable, action packed film with lots of entertaining scenes worthy of John Wicks reputation.

If you kill this guys dog he will literally mow down hundreds of low rank people who probably are just working for the henchman because they couldn’t get normal work. Also … don’t scratch his car , he is very disproportionately revengeful in that regard too … Oh , and the acting, character development and storyline are ridiculous . Other than that … its a terrible movie.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Ultra violent, totally non-stop silly, over the top, mental, comic book revenge noir…. Think Sin-City + Marvel + GUNS. With Willem Defoe thrown in for added excellence.

I was not expecting to like this film, but it was very slick, very smooth and watchable from start to finish. I've finally just learnt to go-with-the-flow with Keanu, and just accepted his 'unique' style of acting :). As another reviewer said, it's a film with a simple story. Just get the popcorn out, chill and enjoy the ride...

Any man who puts under 4* isn't wise, the plot depicts the aftermath of an assassins life and how to cut off loose ends especially whenever mans best friend is in danger.

Most films have an element of predictability - this does but is so good you don' t have a pulse if you can't enjoy it.

A good movie to just switch off to and veg! My only beef was his 'bad day' he had at the start considering he's like Mr Myagi

I started watching this film and very quickly became bored and started surfing the net on my iPhone. A very simple storyline of vengeance, with a very obvious end. Loads of tired fight scenes coupled with terrible acting, I certainly will not be watching this again.

Keanu Reeves is awesome in this film, made me wish i was like him! Brilliant film, well filmed and choreographed. Not too much dialect, great for those who love a proper shoot em up film. Simple storyline and good russian actors, fantastic.

The storyline is so simple, yet the power with it was conveyed at the begining and the anger I as a viewer felt about the harm done really makes you root for John evern though you most definately could say it was a 'bit' of an over reaction on his part. The action is very smooth and slick and some of the best gun fu scences of any film, the soundtrack is cracking and spot on. The visuals and stunts are awesome, and the script sparse but entertaining. All in all this was a great film to watch, highly enjoyable. Just sit back and enjoy.

Awesome film plenty of action

If you like your movies bland, generic, with no semblance of plot and amateur acting then this is certainly for you.

Saw a review not far down saying "really weak plot, not worth the money" and that made me chuckle... what were they expecting? Some high brow drama involving a man and his (dead) dog? The sub-title says it all really: "Don't set him off"... it's a linear easy watching action film... and that's it... lots of fights, high body count, no screen romance (thank god)... boom boom boom, full stop. Not the best action film I've ever seen, but decent enough to deserve 4 stars.

A great hit man style film. It all kicks off when a group of Russian gangsters steal his car and kill his dog. An amazing plot, with a group of very talented actors, who come together to create this action packed film. A must buy in my opinion. Worth the money!

This film has it all, Keanu has always been such a cool character, he plays the role of a man totally broken by the loss of his wife, and then loosing the last thing he had of her ust sent him over the edge.

This film has it all, from action to emotion. it takes you on a fast paced journey where you are really glad you are the viewer and not in the film, to be in the way of John and his goal which is revenge!

Man kills his dog, so man kills everyone in return, thats it.

I cant believe I have watched the same movie as the previous reviewers! Following the age old revenge theme (done so much better in “Taken", and a million and one others) the film plays like a computer game with a heavy metal soundtrack accompaniment. Maybe thats the idea? Surely it can only appeal to 14 year old computer game freaks! The plot is comic strip stuff. Elite ex assassin gives it all up for a quiet family life. His wife dies, then bad guys kill his dog ( we don’t see much of either of these characters so it is hard to feel any empathy). There then follows an hour and a half of Keanu Reeves (he will surely regret this?) on a murderous killing spree with such ludicrous plot devices as the Intercontinentel Hotel where anything goes as long as you can pay for it in gold coins! Laughable and immature. Hated every minute of it. Would probably make a good computer game though;-(

If you’re after a serious deep thought provoking suspense thriller then this is not for you. If you’re after a very simple but stylish rollercoaster action movie then i recommend it.

(John Wick-Keanu Reeves) blasts his way through quite a lot of bad guys in this. But its done with such style both in co-ograghy and in visuals that you really don’t care for plot-in fact the plots very simple its a Revenge thriller.

What to say?… the general story? you’ve seen before. The dialogue: in parts, awful. The acting: well, it’s never been a strong point of Keanu’s and he doesn’t buck that trend here. Some lines are delivered so seriously, but so poorly, that I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to laugh.

That said, some nice set-piece action scenes and it’s not the worst film I’ve ever seen. Don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed.
