Description
Since she was a little girl, it’s been drilled into Amy’s (Schumer) head by her rascal of a dad (Colin Quinn) that monogamy isn’t realistic. Now a magazine writer, Amy lives by that credo – enjoying what she feels is an uninhibited life free from stifling, boring romantic commitment – but in actuality, she’s kind of in a rut. When she finds herself starting to fall for the subject of a new article she’s writing, a charming and successful sports doctor named Aaron Conners (Bill Hader), Amy starts to wonder if other grown-ups, including this guy who really seems to like her, might be onto something.

Worst film I've ever seen
Doesn't deserve one star. I don't write reviews but this made me so mad I'd given this a go. Simply the worst film I have seen in my life :(

Didn’t get more than 40 min in
I wouldn’t normally go for this kind of movie granted. But I thought it would be nice if I let my wife have a break from the bangs and the pows of my usual choice…
After 15 min, I was bored and I was happy to hear my wife say “is this meant to be funny?” We persevered for another 20 min or so, but it was basically an unlikeable character, saying stupid things in stupid situations and we didn’t manage to hold on long enough for anything like a story line to develop. Maybe it got really good at the end, but the first half was so bad, I wasn’t willing to find out.

It's not bad, just bland for the most part
A lot of the comedy from this is either situational or a pop culture reference. Daniel Radclyffe's scenes were a nice distraction as I spent most of my time in disbelief that he'd join a project that was poor. The joke was that he'd actually star in a movie like this with such a minor role.

Modern day classic
A very funny film from start to finish with some inspired comic moments and countless memorable lines. Schumer is very generous as a writer, sharing some of the funniest dialogue with the supporting cast including a hilarious cameo from SNL’s Leslie Jones and a great performance by Lebron James playing himself as the sweet, penny picking, and over supportive best friend. An honest, refreshing, and original rom-com with great performances from Schumer and Hader. Highly recommended.

I loved it when...
Whilst this movie will probably receive terrible reviews from film critics it is actually a great movie. I love the kids listening to their dad in the garage, I loved the sisters dorky husband and son, I love the slapstick and not being afraid to be a little weird, I loved the old guy in the nursing home and the sports stars and cameos are bliss. Watch it and I guarantee you will have a smile on your face by the end.

I don't think this film is worthy of even one star, I'm the kind of person that feels once I've committed to a film I have to see it through, but even I had no interest in seeing it through to the end.

I had high hopes for this but Amy S has written a completely dull drawn out film about nothing. Three early laughs, a ten minute break up (i dell asleep) and nothing else really going on. Avoid buying.

An unusual rom-com
I liked it. Amy's character is normally played by guys, so it was good to see a girl in this role. Film was very funny in places. Tilda Swinton was her usual scene-stealing self - just brilliant : ). Rent it.

Average at best.
I wanted to like this movie, as I do like a good rom-com. However this is more of a ‘dramedy', and unfortunately the dramatic elements are a bit heavy and the comic elements are too infrequent. It kind of comes across that Amy Schumer might be playing someone like herself, and is trying to show how she’s likeable (deep down), when most of the time she plays someone who is really unlikeable ( quite obnoxious, controlling and unpleasant a lot of the time). Not a great movie in my opinion, though has a few okay moments, so I suppose you could get it if you’d nothing else to do and £10 to spare.

Some good, some bad
I like that the main character is a flawed and a very different protagonist than what we usually see. I like the quirkiness and slightly unkempt nature of the main characters. The movie overall has some rough patches in the editing but it all gives it a genuine feel which is ok. Where the movie falls short is with the humour which is mostly profanity jokes that seem so very popular by leading female comedians these days ... Some more subtlety and variety in this department would have made this a classic

Brilliant Film!
How can the person above say it’s awful? Amy is one of the funniest female comedians around right now and this film (which she wrote) is a great well balanced, not too cheesy and hilarious rom com. Watch it if you have a sense of humour and a brain if not then don’t! :)
