It’s normally difficult to bring a band of heroes together and pull off one incredible movie. For some reason it has worked with The Avengers since 2012. This story starts the culmination of 10 years of amazing story telling. Thanos seeks the infinity stones to unleash his master plan. A villain that has been teased for the past decade, proves why he is the biggest challenge The Avengers ever faced. The Russo Brothers work well to bring these amazing characters from so many movies together to deliver an extremely satisfying and action packed movie. Thanos is brilliantly played by Josh Brolin. But who can forget the amazing performance put in by Robert Downey Jr. This movie is definitely a game of two halves. Infinity War is Thanos’ movie then Endgame is surely The Avengers movie. I love this movie and I certainly adored Endgame. This movie is a must own!!

good entertainment and lots of action....but too much cgi and not enough good dialogue to carry it off with any dignity...however you cannot take this film seriously! for this reason i loved it!!! Films to me are pure entertainment....they are not documentaries ..real life...or in a lot of cases original..just sit back and enjoy the escapism for a couple of hours..

This movie is amazing. I watched it at the cinema and now I have watched it at home. The highlight of the movie is with it’s special effects, storyline and sound. Which makes the action in this movie impressive. So why three stars? I think you might have already guessed. It doesn’t support Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos. That’s quite a big miss. It is an absolute must if you want to milk this movie for all its worth. HD is fine but without better effects, it makes the movie just normal. If Apple can support this movie with Visual and sound enhancements. I will definitely give it a 5 star rating. But for now, Only three. If Paddington bear 2 can support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. There is no reason why This movie cannot.

Great film. A quick note to say the 3:36 version of the Spinners "The Rubberband Man" is not the version used in the entrance by The Guardians it's the 7:24 version (approx position 3:30 is where it matches the movie). Taken from "Happiness is Being with the Spinners" album.

Unfortunately something I’ve been looking forward to watching was a massive disappointment and over rated. It seems there were too many hero’s to fit into one film. Why they felt the need to split the hero’s up I will never know. Superhero powers seemed to disappear when it suited and the biggest problem of all is that it wasn’t at any point funny. All the great marvel films over the years have had one thing in common and that is humour culminating in the hilarious Thor: ragnorok. This film does display any of that humour

This is a super film. Sit back and be entertained from start to finish. Of course it is not perfect though. Trying to tie in all the many different Marvel storylines and characters is no mean feat and at times it almost feels as if they could leave out a couple of the characters. Also I've been wondering about Thanos's glove that holds the stones. Is it his? Did he have it made? Or do you get one if you also go searching for the stones? Just a thought...

Love Marvel, but this is over hyped beyond belief. Like the last Thor Ragnarok which was dreadful (turning into a cheesy comedy) this is OTT.
And why no 4K Apple ? I’ll be buying 4K Blu Ray unfortunately if it stays HD. Or do I blame Disney for that ?

infinity war left very little to be desired the villan showed more than other mcu villans being a very dimensional sadness at the realisation he had to (spoilers!) kill gamora to gain the soul stone and he was one o be feared and that is just the tip of the iceberg, this film is incredible being my second favorate mcu movie second only to winter soldier, this is great.

Watched it when the day the film premiered. Went in without expectations as avengers: age of ultron was a letdown from the brilliant predecessor. But my hopes we’re reignited when the directors of captain America: civil war was taking helm. Since their films are my favourites out of the mcu and boy was I glad to watch it on the big screen as I was glued to the screen. It was breathtaking. The scope of everything was larger than life; Thanos, the battles, the character development and interactions. There is many moments that will make you laugh and gasp. A breath of fresh air as the film takes turns and twists which you won’t see coming and it’s refreshing not to know what will happen. Just know your minds will be blown by the end!!! It’s a journey full of emotions that pays off 10 years of marvel films!!!!

This movie is astonishing and lives up to all the hype building up to it. An astonishing villain with so much depth that makes Killmonger look like a standard MCU villain. Very unexpected even if you think going in that you are ready for the unexpected. This movie is great and needs to be watched (with some previous knowledge of the MCU). Truly astonishing I would give this 6 stars if I could. Can’t recommend watching enough. All builds up to one of the greatest movie climaxes ever. TRULY AMAZING!!!

Avengers: Infinity War definitely lived up to the hype. It was incredible; it was emotional, action-packed, funny and just an all out amazing marvel movie. All the movies had been leading up to this.
It’s a bummer that it’s a year until Avengers 4 because when it ended it left me speechless and just astounded. I’m a massive Marvel fan and it’s upsetting that Avengers 4 is a year away. I hope it’s as good as the first part, if so, i will be extremely happy.

Every aspect of the initial part to the two film conclusion to the Avenger’s first universe is exceptional. Storyline (you will undoubtedly enjoy it best if you have seen the earlier Marvel films), cinematography, acting...all beyond reproach and your attention will be gripped throughout the two and a half hours. Surprises and shocks await.

I've just got back from seeing this and I was amazed at what a brilliant job the Russo brothers did at balancing the film's tone. The Guardians and Thor style humor in one scene, Cap and Black Widow's gritty street fighting and heavy battle scenes with gueniune stakes all juxtaposed wonderfully. Josh Brolin deserves a lot of praise for a villain with both horrific (but justified in a strange way) motives and heart. I won't spoil it but I actually gasps in amazement upon seeing a character again after seven years, Marvel still knows how to keep its audience suprised.

The past decade, Marvel has earned itself the benefit of the doubt. The studio has consistently delivered smart, funny, brave films that both embrace and transcend their comic book origins. The 18 blockbuster movies produced since Iron Man first blasted off into the stratosphere in 2008 have not only reinvented superhero films as a genre, they've helped to legitimise it. Indeed, Marvel's two most recent films, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther have received the kind of accolades usually reserved for edgy arthouse flicks. It's perfectly reasonable to be apprehensive about Infinity War. This is a blockbuster film that's been ten years in the making, its plot hinted at and scattered throughout 18 other movies. It features 30 or so characters, each with their own complex backstories and motivations. And all of them are coming together in a bid to stop Thanos from destroying the universe. It sounds ridiculous, and feels impossible. But that's precisely what makes the final product such a monumental achievement. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Infinity War is bold, brainy filmmaking at its very best: the kind that will lift your spirits, blow your mind and shatter your soul, occasionally in the same scene. It demonstrates on an epic scale what Marvel has known all along: that special effects and tightly choreographed action are there to serve the story. For all its blockbuster spectacle (and there's almost too much of that), the film works because it's anchored by the heart, humour and humanity of its characters. Thanos, intergalactic purveyor of death and destruction, has long been on the hunt for the six Infinity Stones that will give him complete control over the elemental building blocks of the universe. He dispatches his acolytes to Earth to retrieve the Time Stone, currently in the possession of Dr. Stephen Strange, and carve the Mind Stone out of the forehead of Vision. It's a literal existential threat so terrifying that all the heroes we've come to know and love, from The Avengers to The Guardians of the Galaxy, must put aside their differences and unite against a common foe. From the outset, it's immediately clear that neither the film's directors nor screenwriters are interested in playing it safe. Most other superhero films are bled of high stakes, the hero in the title might suffer untold trauma, but it's a super-safe bet that he or she will make it to the end alive. There's no such guarantee here. Within the first ten minutes, we are confronted with the dark, twisted depths to which Thanos and his acolytes in the Black Order will sink in order to achieve their goals. Death, as well as genuine loss and sacrifice, is intrinsic to the narrative drumbeat that drives Infinity War ever forward, and the film is all the better for it. Infinity War make it count. There are many heartbreakingly human moments threaded throughout the film: from the charming surrogate father-son dynamic shared by Tony Stark and Peter Parker, to the undeniable love that ties Vision and Wanda Maximoff together. In many ways, the film stands as a testament to the human capacity not just to love, but to love fiercely and beyond all logic. It's right there when the unfailingly noble Steve Rogers declares, "We don't trade lives", even when giving up one could save billions. There's even a chilling echo of it in Thanos himself. A lesser film would have turned Thanos into a one-dimensional villain, much the way he's all monster and maniac in the comic books. In Infinity War, however, Thanos' end goal is surprisingly relevant when it comes to thinking and talking about the staggeringly overpopulated world in which we live today. There is, as it turns out, method to Thanos' madness. It makes the tragic twists and turns in his relationships with his estranged adopted daughters, Gamora and Nebula, all the more unsettling. For the most part, Infinity War does justice, too, to the many heroes who have been assembled for the film. The Russo Brothers displayed great skill at interweaving multiple perspectives and character trajectories in Captain America: Civil War, and they do so again here, with twice as many characters. Even the most minor of supporting players, like James Rhodes/War Machine, are given story beats that land. It helps that Marvel has always taken care to cast genuinely good actors in roles that might otherwise come off as silly and slight. In a film with so many moving parts, some elements don't work quite as well. A couple of characters that you might have expected to be right at the forefront, including an original Avenger or two, fade into the background. In effect, this is a superhero mêlée that's part over-the-top and part overkill, and might prove too much for those who don't already care for this franchise and the characters in it. Infinity War is yet another step in the right direction for Marvel. It continues the studio's tradition of placing a premium on rich, complex storytelling that respects both its characters and its audiences. But it also refuses to make things easy for itself. The film ends even more bravely than it began, with a final ten minutes that will haunt and horrify you in equal measure. It's a stroke of bold, brilliant genius - a narrative risk so audacious that you'll want to follow Marvel wherever it goes next!
