Description

Sherlock Holmes is very good but it is not as good as Sherlock the tv saesion, but if you like action more than dark mysteries you should see this one!

I am. A great fan of the original Sherlock books and this film isn't entirely true to the story. But all things considered this is a great film and I don't see why so many fans of the books complain about it

This is one of my favourite films; true to the characters, a nice mix of action, humour and dialogue, and amazing acting. As a Brit I must say I don't find a problem with Downey's dictation in this, however, I can see how it might be a problem for others.

Me and my family came across this movie on accident, there was nothing on telly and I said the trailer for this looked good so we stuck it on. It is now literally to this day one of my favourite movies of all time. This movie made robert Downey Jr one of my favourite actors and number 2 is even better. Can't wait for the third installment.

If you're a fan of the books, which few people are these days, you won't like this. If you want an action film with a bit of intellectual stimulation and some entertaing humor to pass the time, this is for you.
You killed a great character but made a decent one to take his place.

We read the reviews, expected great things, but the the film was hard to watch, and my wife and I gave up half way through. We found it confusing, boring, dull and also quite difficult to follow what Robert Downey was actually saying. Had to turn the volume up and really concentrate to be able to understand.
Maybe just us, but we thought not very good at all.

This film is just incredible and I had to have it especially now the second one is out in the cinemas. The relationship between Jude Law (beautiful man <3) and Robert Downey Jr is just sheer perfection and it is filled with magical moments. A must see and my favourite movie - make sure you go and see the next one two!

I must confess to have predicted a poor show prior to watching; something about Jude Law playing Watson and Guy Ritchie did not initially convince. I was wrong. Utterly wrong. It is magnificent. A cracking storyline, divine acting from Downey Jr (plus Law delivers a superb Dr) and a pace of wit to keep you hooked. Best £4.99 I have spent in months and utterly absorbing.
Best is yet to come….

After watching the second Sherlock film, you realise that you have to have this film in your collection. This is by no means a bad film, in fact, quite the opposite. But the second is so good that it actually drags this film from being a 4 star to a 5 star film.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride, it will leave you wanting more….

This is simply an amazing film. Great acting, action and plot. To all those who say this is unfaithful to the original characters actually go back and read the original books by Conan-Doyle and I think you'll be surprised at how much like the original this actually is.
Second chapter of A Study in Pink states Holmes is a master boxer and swordsman and Boxer.

The film was great, but I was unable to watch it in a single viewing. I went back to watch the second half of the film and found iTunes had automatically deleted it from my rented movies folder! This does not seem fair, or did I make some sort of error?

Nothing debonair, intelligent or challenging about his movie. A slow tempo tird from start to finish. Not a glimpse of chemistry between any of the characters.
Since when has Sherlock Holmes used his fists instead of his wit for anything? Additionally, how does Mark Strong keep getting work?
£3.49 I desperately want back.
