This is my fave film of ALL time I love it and I watch it every weekend. I recommend this film to you because it has really good scenes and the characters are the best they can be. I love the plot of the battle of hogwarts and harry dying( he didn’t die but the people thought so) Please get this film and spread the word around the WORLD 🌍 because the cast and others deserve it 😃😀😄😁😆🥰😍

Harry potter is so boring! I must if missed something

This is like Nolan directed and wrote Harry Potter. It's dark and thrilling the way all the emotion is brought in this film. I have to say I am not a fan of HP and I find the books cliche and all. Though there are some clichés this is like Nolan has had his share with the franchise unlike the flimsly Part 2 that was rushed and badly written. Part 2 was the most disappointing film:Like Batman&Robin with magic. So the Hobbit is slightly better than this

THIS.IS.EPIC

Okay. High expectations for this film considering its only half of the last one. I really enjoyed this film. The story is basically Harry, Ron and Hermione go on a quest to find the horcruxes in order to defeat Lord Voldemort. Okay firstly the acting is great from everyone. The 3 leads carry the movie terrifically. The story is really good. The action is very good. There are some really intense scenes. The darkness works really well. It is darker than the previous installments. My only complaints are that yes the movie is slow in places although I didn't find this as big a problem as others. The climax of the movie which takes place at Malfoy Manor felt like a bit of anti-climax but then recovers with the death of a certain character as an emotional ending. I wish they had stuck to how Wormtail died in the book instead of a simple stun from Dobby. Overall Deathly Hallows: part 1 is a great addition to the franchise and sets up for the big battle in Deathly Hallows: part 2

Would like to watch this but do not wish to buy it. Why isn't this title available to rent, given that I-tunes are advertising 'buy all Harry Potter titles for £4.99"? Surely this is false advertising?

Really good movie, but why is everything on iTunes overpriced? It's disgraceful! And I also think it's ridiculous the fact that you cannot rent most movies, instead you have to buy them. What if I don't want to buy? What if it's a bad movie and then I'm stuck with it? Sort it out iTunes.

Boring

I looovvveee Harry potter. I'm probably the biggest fan ever! I love the books, I love the films and I love it full stop. The half-blood prince is sooo sad but amazing and the order of the Phoenix is sooo sad but also amazing. I don't care about the price............love it!

Harry Potter. Need I say more? This is THE BEST film of all time, only rated 5* cos you can`t give a billion*. I can`t believe the average reviews are 4 1/2 *, should be 5! This film is dramatic, and emotional. Had me sitting on the edge of my seat - in fact, I nearly fell off! You can feel the tension, sadness and anger almost flowing from the screen. As soon as it finishes with Voldemort holding the Elder Wand, you just want to grab the next film and watch that too! Please, please buy! Then after that, buy HP & DH Part 2!

One of the dullest films I've seen in a while. JK clearly had been very heavily influenced by JRR and the legend of King Arthur in this story, so much so that it quickly becomes boring. The film is the cinematic equivalent of why use 1 word when 1000 will do. No doubt aimed at setting up the (hopefully) dramatic ending.

The quality of the original film in the cinema was fabulous. This iTunes download does it no credit. The video quality is simply dreadful and virtually unwatchable.

Don't spoil a great film by watching the iTunes version, ruined because some bean counter decided to save a couple of cents. Go out and buy the disc and enjoy it how it was meant to be watched.

Its an okay film but i was expecting better. Because i love Harry Potter but however part 2 is amazing.

Harry has to track down the remaining horcruxes without the guidance of Albus Dumbledore! Harry, Ron and Hermione embark on a devastating journey battling Voldemort on motor bikes, dementores in the ministry of magic, snatchers in a forest and many more dangerous fights, but unfortunately we all would have guessed some people will die :(

Impressibly creepy, devasteding and manages to get a feel of epicness and dramaticness! Beautifully filmed!!!!!!

Totally pointless Film....

Gripping, well made and much more faithful to the books giving it a much better pace and avoiding the 'rushed' feeling sometimes felt with the previous potter films.

I thought that the acting in this film is superior to the others. The story line, all though slow at parts, was brilliant and the fight scenes were great. The character development is huge, an they really feel like people who you have grown up to know. Sad and happy, it has unexpected jokes and an enjoyable film all round!

Really really really boring, I think Jk ran out of steam, loved the early films, loathed the last HP and loathed this one too....

One of the best films i have ever seen it is absolutely amazing. I mean compared to the last one (the half blood prince) this one is like 10 times better. the only bad thing i have to say about it is that the 2nd part is better. anyway i loved it and is the best yet, i have also noticed no hogwarts which isnt a bad thing. I highly recomend you whatch this film but read the book first , because if you do you will reliese how little of the book they left out because of doing it in 2 parts. This movie I admit was the most boring Harry potter but part 2 is without a doubt the best no boring scenes all action packed ALL the way through I think part 1 was just a build up to part 2 but really u HAVE to c part 2!

Ok first of all I would like to say to all the people who rated this lower than 4 stars, are you like 5 or something you are winging about how it's not as magical as the previous movies and that "they just run around in the woods" I mean come on we all know your minds are limited but if you cannot accept that Harry potter is more deep than you realised just get back to watching twilight and shut your mouths. This movie shows a wider range of emotions and gives you an insight on the progress of them becoming more grown up adults, I know they may have missed some major things out from the books but to include on may of added another hour Which would have cost at least £1,000,000 + (I know it sounds Allot but if you add all the costs up for everything it makes sense) so stop complaining as this movie is epic.

An excellent film if you want to learn about sitting in the woods. Not much else happens unfortunately.

I was very disapointed as the reviews were so good, the acting was nothing special it was the same old harry potter thing, it could have been alot shorter but they wanted to get more money out of it I expect. I think it diserves to 2 or 3 stars but I wanted to try and bring down the overall amount of stars. I suppose it wouldn't be to bad if you haven't read the book.

This film was pretty good but it all could have been filmed in about 30 mins, it should have all been filmed in one. The only reason they put into two parts is to make more money out of it. Therefore the film was completely pointless.

Starts off with great action, then nothing for an hour+ then it just ends.... I pray part 2 has more battles

I love the harry potter films. My favourite one is harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban- until i saw this one. Utterly fabulous (but with deaths and sad parts) and i 100 % reccommend it!

Great film but iTunes are expensive compared to the supermarkets. £7 in Tesco and even only £8 in sainsburys

Definitely the best film of the series. The other films, while having wonderful cinematography, blah, blah, blah managed to take out huge, relevant chunks of the story in favour of pretty shots of trees/action/stupid substories/emotional heart-string tugging/more action. This one, however, manages to cram pretty much all of the relevant issues into the 2 and a bit hours. OK, so they could have explained the taboo a bit better, and the wedding scenes all felt a bit contrived, as though they were just a means to an end, the meeting with the Minister for Magic wasn't as powerful as they could have made it, and there were bits that, as an avid fan of the books, didn't really flow properly. However, that all said, the action was wonderful, the emotional scenes between the three leads were fantastic; they really have grown as actors. And the end; well, I cry at adverts, so it was no surprise I bawled like a small child, but it was heart wrenching. I'm very much looking forward to the final part, even though it means the end. I just hope Part 2 is as good as Part 1. Enjoy!

For the people complaining about the Harry-Hermione horcrux seen with the argument that the book is for 'children' this is completely stupid. Potter is for all ages and as whe book progresses obviously the trio is maturing and so more adult themes should be introduced. Yes maybe in Chamber of Secrets there was room for hugging Hagrid and clapping him in the end scene but harry is now 17. He is a man and the themes shown in both the book and the film should mirror this. Overall this movie is great, the CGI and acting make this film, with dramatic improvements in performance from both Dan and Emma. Can't wait till July :D

Good price but where's the HD version?

This is one is by far I think any huge Harry Potter fan would agree the most faithful to the amazing book by Jo Rowling. So much stuff is left in thanks to it being split into two parts. The first part is an epic adventure but at a much slower pace due to the trio being on the run. But that doesn't affect the film's quality at all because it's probably the best one yet. Amazing acting from Dan, Emma and Rupert and the ensemble cast are as brilliant as ever too. Well worth a watch, this is much better than the slight let down that was the Half Blood Prince film. So excited yet very emotional about the final film being released this Summer. Will be a very bittersweet moment. Anyone who's not sure on whether to buy this or not, I recommend you buy it, you won't be disappointed! People complain of no Hogwarts in this one but it can't all be nice and cozy at Hogwarts. Time have changed, and it's nice to be out of the comfort zone of Hogwarts for a change. The second part is going to be mostly Hogwarts anyway so it's only one film out of 8 without it! I recommend reading the book also, yes the film is great and it's done the best job of converting to screen but the book is much better and well worth a read! Spoken from a true Potter nerd.

It was an excellent film with some good scenes - however, alot is missed out from the book: I was particularly dissapointed at the lack of the fight between Harry and lupin. The dance scene is also ridiculous. Many people say it dragged on but I disagree; I thought it came to an end far to quickly, though I am a dedicated potter fan! So that could just be me!

Watched it 5 times at the cinema... Bring on Monday! Love the book and film series muchly!

It's not even the end but I'm already crying because this signifies the end of my childhood. It's been there my whole life and now that is ending.

This is the most special and mindboggling film ever it is the best from the series because it absolutely sticks to the truth and doesn't even slightly distort it or cut parts out. The scenes are filmed with infinite detail it is was and will be a cinematic triumph that will live in our hearts forever.

Haven't seen this yet but it's gonna be a the best movie I will ever see.

Well worth the wait. But to thoughts people who gave it less than 4 stars and are booing about the kissing and nude sense, the book is not really a child book at that point. Yes it's a children's series but it has adult aspects to it that's why it's one of the worlds best ever sellers. In addition THIS FILM IS NOT AMENT FOR CHILDREN, if it was it would be a PG or even a U rated film, but it's not. The subject matter is dark so the government correctly marked it a 12. Also the first potter children (like me) when the books first came out could watch the first films as the were PGs but now we have grown up so we can watch older films now with dark subjects and more adult content. Anyway just my rant. The best Film yet! They did well doing it in two parts, some of the films before it have suffered because the cut out to much detail so it was not to long. Can't wait for it it come out! 

As a fan of the harry potter books and series, I try not to get my hopes up when it comes to the films as they tend to leave bits out, not massively important bits but still. This film was captured perfectly- we follow Harry, Ron and Hermione as they go on the run, and try to figure out what and where these horcruxes are (mentioned in the last film), without any assistance from Dumbledore. It's funny, light, entertaining throughout but there is one bit when they're running which just made my eyes hurt because the camera didn't stop moving. Parts of it are very dark but I would still think it appropriate for children if they're not too sensitive.

They nailed the acting, the music was fabulous apart from the Harry Potter THEME was missing!! but it just leaves the audience wanting more and I cannot WAIT for the next film- I will cry when Harry Potter is over, it's a massive part of our childhood

Books are better

I've been a fan of the Harry Potter films since they first came out and i've always considered them great films that have stayed true to the books. However in this most recent film, i feel that sticking to the book wasn't necessarily a great idea, as there are a lot of incredibly boring and dull scenes, especially during the middle of the film. I know that all the action will turn up eventually in the final installment, but as a film on its own, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is really not very fun, enjoyable or interesting at all...

My favourite of all the films :')

This film is brilliant and warner bros have really re-mastered the film. However, it would of been nice to include the whole book's story but I cannot deduct stars because my review is truly on the film itself. And again, so exiting, especially in the cinema, but at home it should look good, and on iPad, stunning!

The first part in a two part final film is extreamly good, it has all the main aspects of the final part of the book.

I feel that there could have been more detail in the section that happen between the main fight seans and more detail to some of the dialog and location that are visited in the book when replicated into the movie.

Over all this film has to be one of the best Harry Potter films that I have sean, The acting is asusal excelent with an Excelent cast. Well done to all those involed in its production. I would highly remomend this fiml to anyone that has been following the story from the start.

I just hope Part Two is just as good.
