This movie has everything going for it, it is fun and does not take itself seriously yet manages to keep to the roots of JM Barrie's classic stories. Check out another underrated Steven Spielberg masterpiece '1941'.

Hook Came out in 1991 to a varied reception but to me has always been a great film i continually revisit, It remains very nostalgic. Its underrated Brilliance was some what tempered by the plurality of negativity issued, with its release. The premise is an exciting re imagining of a beloved classic children's book, realised by the brilliance of Steven Spielberg's direction and the audible underpinning of john William's score elevates what can only be described as a fantastically vibrant and Delightful Fantasy, an exciting journey to be had, not only by children of all ages but even the bigger ones too. You can never be to old for pan and his adventures in Neverland. The premise draws up that exact sentiment, that of a preternatural boy, a little boy who never grew old - growing old and forgetting all about who he really is, but being able to reignite that sensibility even as an adult. When his children are kidnapped by the infamous Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman), Peter ( Robin William's ) With the help of a little fairy dust returns to Neverland in search of his children, in regaining his juvenile spirit Peter must face his old adversary once again. Its about belief and Imagination, the notion of never being too old to have fun or go on adventures, it relates to that transcendence from boy to man and back again. Whilst maintaing the responsibility of parenthood Peter relives his youthful past and believes in himself and Neverland once again. Disregard the confines of reality for one second and sink into a world of wonder. Defiantly worth a buy! This should be a staple of anyones film collection. This film appeals to all ages on so many different levels.
