This movie is when all the heroes go together

Without a doubt, Avengers was a game-changing movie. It’s success would mean the future for the MCU. When I first watched it, I thought it was really good, but now I’m not so sure.

I feel that Avengers was meant to dazzle the audience instead of tell a story. Many will disagree with me, but suprisingly, the film has a very weak plot. It goes like this. A dude called Loki wants to rule the world, so he threatens the world with an army of aliens to conquer the world. So S.H.I.E.L.D. decides to bring a team of superheroes to fight Loki and stop his plans. There’s a huge fight at the end and Iron Man almost dies. Sounds like a typical alien invasion movie like Independance Day. The characters also felt under-developed and the film lacked quieter moments to make the characters more relatable.

I don’t think that it’s a bad film but it’s not as good as people say it is.

4K (like all of the Disney/MCU films on iTunes). Would give it 5 stars otherwise.

Now that’s how you make a movie. But this film wouldn’t have worked without the previous MCU origin films. The set up to this film was great and it felt satisfying. Not gosh, I was blown away the first time I watched it. I have seen it four times, now a fifth time on Blu-ray and absolutely love it. There is so much good in this film that his review will go on. The cast, visuals, story, pacing, editing, music,humor. All fantastic. The ending felt so satisfying and m, ohhhhhhhhh, such a great film. It only one of my favorite comic book films, but one of my favorite movies of all time. But a 1080p tv with surround sound speakers and bleach it on Blu-ray. My gosh, Blu-ray is beautiful. :)

Got to give this movie 5/5 - full marks as it's such an entertaining couple of hours! But please iTunes, can you hurry up and add the bonus features (and add them to "Iron Man 3" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" whist your at it)! Why charge blu-ray prices when you're offering so much less content? 5/5 for the movie, 0/5 for the effort gone into the UK iTunes version!!! 😢

2012's The Avengers was the culmination of everything that Marvel had been building up to and was a dream come true for fans. It's a movie that managed to bring together some of the biggest superheroes of all time and some of the most popular actors of their generation in one film, and gave us stakes high enough that we believe took a team of heroes to take on. It not only managed to live up to the hype and expectations, but in many cases, exceeded them. There are those movies that "if it's on, you can't help but watch", and The Avengers is definitely one of those films.

Best film ever, full of great action and lots of funny moments.

Brilliant film. A definite must see

Now, the film... how can I even begin to explain how I feel about this film? It is, as the title of this review says a 'comic book triumph'. I went into the film with very, very high expectations and I was not disappointed. Seeing Joss Whedon's direction and envisioning of the film come to life on the big screen is perfect. The script is amazingly detailed and laced with sharp wit a humor. The special effects are literally mind-blowing and the action scenes are both hard-hitting and beautifully choreographed. While all of these things (script, action, special effects and so on and so forth) are important... it's no good having them spot on if you don't have a cast that just isn't right. But fortunately, for fans and for the actors involved, Whedon's cast not only work brilliantly together but are perfectly comfortable wailing on each other and threatening each other all day and night. The actors' performances in "Marvel's The Avengers" are simply captivating and there are many instances where we get a glimpse further into their characters pasts and innermost feelings. Robert Downey Jr. will have you in stitches. Scarlett Johansson will have you staring in disbelief as she winds her way through sticky situations. And Tom Hiddleston will have you simply shaking in your seat with fear. All in all, Marvel's The Avengers is a visual delight and I cannot wait to see it again, and again, and again. Marvel fans will not be disappointed, and something tells me that most of you will agree with me wholeheartedly. The Avengers, assembled and awe-inspiring!

Sound editing is terrible (bought 12Apr15, UK) - the speaking is extremely quiet relative to all the sound effects, so if you have it loud enough to actually hear the speech as soon as there's any action you have to turn it down then back up again. Nightmare. We ended up having to watch it with the Subtitles on! Very annoying...especially for £13.99, this is like a pirated version it's so bad.

Definitely one of my favourite films, absolutely brilliant. And to top everything, Tom Hiddleston is damn fine looking as well 😏😏😏

Ok I absolutely loved this film, the cast, the plot, the phenomenal acting. It is one of the best films ever. The only reason I put "but..." in the title was due to 2 mistakes I found in the film. They don't lower the star rating but are quite obvious so I won't tell you what they are but be eagle eyed when Coulson goes to Stark and Pepper and gives them the computer and when Natasha confronts Loki and Loli gets angry. Btw Loki is the best villain ever but you probably already knew that 😄

warning seems like film could possibly b in subtitles and might be a spoof on marvel’s avengers assemble. I might watch it neway though

This is such an amazing film, Joss Whedon succeeded amazingly when he wrote and directed this. If you love comics this film will blow you away!

For all Marvel/Comic/Superhero lovers this is the film for you as you won't see one better put together. Great story and the use of all the characters from the other Marvel films is amazing, has not been seen before. You'll want to watch is multiple times so you can see every piece of action you may have missed the first time. Funny, clever and emotional. Just watch it.
