Came across this song whilst browsing. Think it's absolutely lovely . Reminds me of being small and all the grown ups and most things around appearing huge.
This song is amazing, i know its Now 2011 but at white hough me and my friend sang the song. I remember when me and my dad listened to the song.
It's the best song by this artist
Well said RichAmey ! This is a simple song, written (I hope) from the heart, with a simple video, perfectly mimicking the words. To those who don't understand it, that's okay, I bet there's stuff you like that I don't 'get'. Here's a clue to this songs appeal though; wait until you're the wrong side of forty-five, with your children having left home. THEN YOU'LL GET IT..............
I hope my son thinks of me as much as this kid worships his Dad really lovely song and great video
This amazing song and video hits you with shock as you remind yourself of sitting in a car with your dad and singing along to his favorite song.He tells you that he loves you and you say ' i love you more!!' and you sing all the way there. It becomes your favorite song and it stays with you forever. This is the message this song gives to me.It is absolutley amazing.
I think the song is really catchy and the video is also good :) i love it :D
Sure nipozli are a one hit wonder but this a great song and a amazing video nevertheless !! I bought this the week it came out in 2005 for my dad on his iPod and he still uses it!!!
Simple but entertaining video with a song about a little boy and his dad in his JCB. This is a song that both children and adults love.
Thia song is old! But I like it. :D xx
It may not be an awesome song or anyhting like that, but can you really say it's awful? The vid's got a nifty little bit animation and the song's simple, but fun, if you get my meaning. I just love watching it with my mates from time to time.
P.S wasn't this on an advert at some point for some reason or another.
I have a huge nostalgic memory of 'driving' my Dad's best buddy and my hero's sixteen wheeler round the block as a six year old, way, way back in the early sixties. Sitting on Jim's lap holding on to that massive steering wheel, I was / am Luke. We weren't holding anyone up and there was no bypass, but every time I hear the song it fills me with emotion for my late friend and my old Dad. It's all I can do to stop myself pulling my two young sons out of school and taking off on a jolly! This truly is inspired music and animation.
I like the JCB song video because all the modern rap and other types of music are not suitable for young children, but the JCB video has nothing that's gory or extremely rude, now after you have read this i guarantee that if you switched on mtv or any other music channel there would be some form of rudeness or goryness so this is about one of the only videos thats suitable.
I see this video and see my son and miss my dad. Those that understand that sentence get this song and video - someday the others might as well. Great video, thank you.
Beautiful cartoon complements a wonderful, heartfelt track from Nizlopi. Brings a smile to my face every time I play it.
Reminds me when I used to go to work with my Dad (who sadly passed away a number of years ago) in his Artic truck, when he was a HGV driver, okay, not a JCB, but the sentiment is the same!
Awesome song and video.
Just had to get video, it is amazing.
Yes it was released in the last week of 2005- but I think it is the best video. How many times have you seen it? You just gotta get it! I loved it all from start to finish. It 'draws' your attention throughout! "And the engine rattles my bum like berserk" like this tune!
Great animation and a catchy tune.
No doubt it, its worth byin.
You know the old cliche - how adults don't understand modern music and go on about how things were better when they were kids? Well, this is a song that adults understand and most kids don't.
Kids, you're not SUPPOSED to understand this song. Not yet. Grow up, have a kid of your own, THEN it will all become clear to you.
This is a heart warming song coupled with a sweet video. It has a feelgood factor and my boys love it. They have memorised the lyrics and melody and love watching the video - particularly when the megazord arrives. Brill.
A song whose content is so universally understandable by such a wide range of ages and types of people is truly rare. I defy anyone with the smallest iota of imagination and the tiniest glimmer of human empathy not to identify with the lyrics' story.
The video keeps to the song's naive childlike style - and has been very cleverly drawn. Look out for the Shovel Shop at the requisite point in the words, as well as the hitch-hiking double-bassist, flying pigs and other subtle little asides. It's cute, funny (angry driver's face and dad's reaction to the zoids and transformers being a good example) and memorable - yet doesn't detract from the music but rather blends with it so well that it's amazing that the animation's and the track's development weren't concurrent.
Refreshing simplicity that anyone can understand and enjoy - be they a tiny little person, a working adult, or a retired person. Well worth getting this one.
Great to hear something so clean and fresh and I include the animation in that. My daughter and I can't help watching it over and over. It almost makes me want to buy a video iPod...more overtime. :)
excellent video to go with a excellent song.Buy now!u no u want to.
This is one of my fav tracks, its always makes my boyfriend Chris laught so much.
Its a brill happy go lucky vid that always puts a massive smile on my face.
I have been waiting for ages for this to come out on itunes. It reminds me of my Dad. The song it quality in itself but the video gives it a whole new WOW!
Makes me think of me and my boy, so thats good enough for me. Great Song! Great Video!
JCB is a wicked song with sound lirics - me dad says its " tight " any way it really did deserve the 1# spot in the charts
It's a song for children. As a song for children, it's very good. But that doesn't make it anything more than a song for children. My rating is for the video, which IS excellent - I think it deserves far more credit than the song.
simply one of the worst songs i have ever heard in my life why cant anyone else see this??????
...Luke! Unfortunately I don’t drive a JCB but I have a really good go when we listen to this song. The Lyrics could not get any closer to describing my son and know I’ve got the video my life’s complete. Great song, brilliant lyrics and a ‘awsome video’ says Luke. Cheers
Best song and video of the year
JCB You can love it or hate it, but this is simply a great song. It makes me smile & that’s a good thing in today’s fast pace stress full life. JCB is one of my 10 records of the year for 2005. Get a G5 & some make a record software, and you to can to be a pop star. You should also check some of the remix's if you are lucky enough to be able to get hold of them.
I think this song is great. There should be more songs like this making people awer of bulling in schools and how it affects children. This is a great idea to make this song. 5 out of 5
I just love this song and video! It's a long time ago since I was five, but the animation and lyrics have a guilessness about them that's really refreshing these days. It's great to have a song that affirms family life and good father/son relationship. It's fun and very sweet. I wish there was more like this!
I really do not see the attraction of this 'song'.
If i wanted to hear the sound of dying cat i would rather pay for that than this record.
Sure, it has its good points..... the end being one of them,
It has captured the hearts of many people, and for that ive given it 2 stars. Just be grateful it will dissapear soon
Firstly, to those people who don't get this. Thats fine, you don't have to like it. I don't like Fatman scoop, but some people do. And secondly you don't have to like the videos, I think most R&B videos are pretty generic, as is the music, especially goofy old 50 cent. But don't rant at the people here who do like it.
Whats good about it. The song is sung from the point of view of a small boy. So the video reflects this, the bored doodling in an school exercise book. is imagination running free. For those of you of a certain age, the A-team and Transformers will strike a stronger chord with you.
I like this song because I am a father. My 3 year old boy love the video and sings along to this song in the car.
It recalls a magical time spent in the company of his dad. And as many small boys do, he sees his dad as his big hero. Undefeatable, able to protect him, hence the "BA Barracus with Bruce Lees nunchakas". He's getting a hard time at school, but his dad can make that go away, because his dad can do anything, especially with his "giant, yellow digger".
When I first heard this, it stirred a bit of emotion in me, and it still does when I'm in the right mood.
But its not meloncholic like say the smiths, morrisy, coldplay et al. Just captures a wonderful moment in that boys life.
Or maybe I've got it all wrong.
a film that is a personal favourite but it's true as one a reviewer said.. forest gump on a lawn mower... its slow.. here the jcb trundles along like the song slowly frustrating all those caught up behind it, hoping the driver for once looks over his shoulder and will pull over to let us pass.. what is it with these new 'singer song writer' bands are we supposed to give kudos for acoustic guitars.. go back and study Nick Drake then give it a go. As for the video the seminal Lemon Jelly 'Shouty Track' i think topped the lined paper and doodle style of catoonery far better .. sorry lads good effort but poor content
An excellent song. The success it has been is deserved... many people can relate to this song.
The video has some of the best animation I have ever seen. Fantastic.
Just a useless song means nothing!
Byron Is My Plumma Muvva
i would rather see my leg get eaten off by a crcodile than LISTEN to this song. but the video makes up for it and thats what were meant to be reviewing. so i think the video is very alright.
I thought it would be awesome if everyone in iTunes world could see this video previously only on their website. Earlier I said "iTunes, do it!"
Now it's here. Amazing. Buy it and feel good.
DIS SONG IS SO CRAP! I WOULDN'T EVEN RATE IT! YOU GUYS HAV BAD TATSE FOR MUSIC...
A truly excellent video to go with the song that should've been xmas No.1. The animation style is effective and will be big with all those tea-drinkers who like Mr. Scruff.
I don't understand how anyone could have anything but praise for this track! I have been a fan of Nizlopi for well over a year now, and their stuff continues to amaze me - none moreso than this particular track. It is a feel good song with a story behind it that has to be read before listening to this song before it can be truly appreciated. The wonderful animation and the ability to put yourself in the situation of young 'Luke' only serves to make this even better. Top marks!
