What a pleasure it was to have seen Journey during this tour, while on the family hols to U.S.A. Having waited almost almost 25 years to see Steve Perry strutting his stuff with the boys I was fairly sure that Steve Augeri would be a decent 2nd as I had already been fortunate to have seen him before during his brief Tyketto period. With Journey, however, he lifted to new heights. Higher Place, the first track from Arrival, is a great platform to highlight the vocal and show and reassure all Perry fans that Journey were in good hands. As with Perry, Augeri could reproduce studio quality vocals in the live setting. This video provides a perfect example of this. Turn to 11, sit back comfortably.......and enjoy!
