Thirty years since The Velvet Underground first appeared and took music to a new level. While others were singing about love and shoving flowers down gun barrels, the VU reminded us that life was't quite that rosey, and, probeably never will be. Instead we got the raw reality of the Seedy side of life with the occasional sun shining through. This song is from that era and being an VU fan it takes me back to when I first heard them - hooked forever!!! OK, so they have lost some of the rawness they once had but it is still a fine performance and the song still stands as being one of the best rock songs penned by anyone.The biggest dissapointment for most Velvet Underground fans is that there is no real film or videos of them actually performing any of their great songs in the early days of their careers....get The Velvet Underground & Nico on CD and see what I mean, 5 stars for this video.
