Madonna and Mondino created a celluloid milestone with this video. Its genius lies in its simplicity and choreography which has been copied by everyone from Christina Aguilera, through to Kylie, Britney, GaGa, Rihanna and er, Rachel Stevens!

Joking aside this is one of her best videos to date. And to the reviewer below who claims she copied Nina Hagen simply because she's sat tied to a chair in PVC, please, nobody would be that desperate to string anything so ridiculous together?! Really?! Are you serious?! The video actually took inspiration from a well know 1950's artist whom Madonna admired, she openly discussed this in an interview in 1995. Madonna paid homage and put her spin on it, took it a lot further with stunning choreography, it was her own sorry. Why are jealous hater always trying to take Madonnas work and demean her through it?! Kylie et al just took what they wanted from Madonna without and idea where the original concept came from. Nina Hagen?! I do not think so! Buy!!

This video is a complete rip-off of Nina Hagen. Nina was photographed in the 1980s (years before this video came out) tied to a chair by rope around her shoulders, waist and legs while wearing a black PVC suit. Madonna copied this exactly. Is she ever original?
