Really enjoy the different formats between all the shows. James' show is great for an in depth insight into different topics (especially the constitution) and TyskySour for easy listening commentary, opinions and knowledge on a wide range of subjects

I’ve been listening to Novara for over 6 years now, and their output is consistently excellent. Particular highlights include the flagship FM show and the Lockdown podcast. Well worth paying an hour’s wage a month for (though maybe a patreon page would help reach more people...?) Keep up the great work!

Get these guys a TV channel.

It is so healthy that we have these guys looking at topics from a socialist point of view. BBC news is too close to the conservatives, most of the papers of public record have declined in readership so vastly that they resort to far right shock headlines to awaken their old, white, privileged readership. Novara understands the youth of England and Wales very well, although seems to struggle to relate to the young in Scotland.

Love the podcast and I listen every week. What I would say is that I found Eleanor quite unpleasant to listen too. Not in terms of content, but in terms of delivery. Perhaps it’s nerves, but her voice was pitched too high, she spoke far too quickly and there were far too many ‘ums’ ‘ers’ and ‘you knows’.

She is obviously very bright and very passionate and I think she falls into the trap that intelligent people who can think a few sentences ahead often do- she is spending too much time thinking what she’ll say next, when she should be concentrating on what she is saying at that moment. Frankly, it’s a bit stressful to listen to. Also, she needs to bifurcate her polemical statements and her questions. You had a guest in this episode- maybe she should ask a question.

Good news is that all this is easy to fix with some experience and maybe a bit of media training.

With the majority of MSM supporting right wing politicians it's refreshing to have a voice for the politically and morally sane.

Novara breaks down the current issues with some great characters like Bastani, Shanly and Sarkar.

Bastani and his cohort are speaking truth to power in a way that non of the MSM do or can. The revolution won't be televised but it it sure as hell will be podcasted.

Well-informed, thoughtful discussions about relevant issues. It's great to have commentators who are open about their political standpoint and try to argue their case sincerely. The platform keeps growing and the quality stays high, no clickbait nonsense and no dodging the difficult issues. This is why I keep coming back.

This podcast is almost always informative and insightful. I feel I learn something new every week. Some of the discussion can get a bit academic and pally which they should watch out for.

Great left wing political podcast, but there are always less women than men on the podcast, and the men take up vast majority of the speaking time. This needs to be addressed. And given accents are generally indicative of class, there needs to be more class diversity too. If you are looking for a left wing podcast with decent diversity, the new statesman is good.

You won't find a group of people more committed to popular investigation of our present condition. The simplicity and integrity of the platform undemines a whole media establishment, and opens a world of possibility for both thought and practice. I've grown up with Novara, having come across them through Mark Fisher's reference back in I think 2010. To both, and that whole community, I offer my heartfelt thanks, appreciation and support.

Intelligent and introspective commentary on left-wing politics

Always please when the new episode (either the ResonanceFM show or the side projects) is downloaded. The shows are dense packed but very engaging. The hosts, Aaron, Ash and James each have their own style and bring differing (although still left) viewpoints to bear upon the topics. One bugbear of mine with radical podcasts is that the production quality is usually so poor. Not so with the Novara feed, everyone is on mic and the volume level is consistent!

The best political podcast I have heard hands down. I look forward to their podcasts every week.

I've been greatly enjoying this podcast recently. It covers a huge range of political topics and does all of them in an intelligent, informative and entertaining way. The hosts are very articulate, very smart and very engaging. I'm hooked!

Sometimes I get lost in the academic detail and the qualified sentences. James, in particular, I struggle to understand. For me, the presentations and conversations would benefit from more direct, definite, shorter statements. But for all that, these podcasts have become an essential reference point for me. Ash's focus on race I find particularly pertinent. Keep going,

Excellent podcasts (not Killjoy FM, which really doesn't hold a candle to the original podcasts) hosted by Aaron, James, and Ash. Thoughtful, critical and thought provoking. Highly recommended alternative to the yarns woven by the likes of Newsnight and the mainstream press. But the podcasts need more diversity and must address a broader range of issues. The news cycle is just moving far faster than Novara is able to churn out podcasts and they are struggling to keep up. They often update tardily and sometimes fall in frequency. More podcasts and greater consistency would be greatly apprecaited. It's understandable given it is a small operation, and they have certainly done wonders with the means at their disposal, but I am sure they will be able to expand and augment the scope of their coverage with more time and financial support. The focus on British politics is important and needed, but there is also a need to go beyond it and diversify. More on US politics and the struggles of the global South would be welcomed - the coverage frankly is often terribly Eurocentric/Anglo-American centric. More guests should be invited to come along and speak, so the podcasts don't become repetitve. Each presenter has 'their issue' so to speak, and constantly return to it, but inviting more guests with disparate academic and activist backgrounds might alleviate repetitiousness somewhat. I say this as a big fan of the podcast and as someone who wishes to see it go from strength to strength and continue to develop and grow. The concern is that interest will flat line and the audience shrink if they fail to evolve. Anyway, that's my 2 cents, feel free to take it or leave it.

Almost alone amongst the broadcast media, they understand where the left-movement is coming from in this country. In fact, in many ways, they are at the spearhead. So if you want to listen to a podcast that *doesn't* leave you wanting to throw things at your phone, this is it...

Terribly researched and staffed by a former Tory Aaron Bastani who now seems to have had a political change of heart. Steer clear with several barge poles

Every week the Novara team grapple with one of the big issues facing British or international politics or a key theme impacting political life: race, class, gender, mechanical automation, radical Left strategy, Turkish politics, the concept of democracy and so on. The depth and bredth of analysis is consistently astonishing and - even before you consider the excellent regular guests - the core presenters continue to bring insight after insight you just will not hear in the 'mainstream' (corporate) media. The only podcast I make sure I listen to week in, week out.

Easily one of the best podcasts focusing on British politics. It's biggest strength is the presenters are self critical of their own positions, never shying away from a difficult debate. It has the best answers because it asks the best questions.

Thanks for this podcast. Really enlightening explanation of the Greek crisis and the wider European and philosophical issues, don’t get this POV anywhere else. Essential listening for all card-carrying progressives!

Aaron, James et. al. have produced - without question - the only media platform (a phrase that has the tendency to send shudders down one’s spine, but I’ll ignore that for want of a better coinage) capable of concisely, incisively & decisively (in its nimbleness in responding to pertinent issues) addressing THE questions / issues that will / have come to define the turbulent time(s) we find ourselves in... from all over the socio-economic spectrum and beyond... of which this podcast is arguably the greatest bow in their quiver (to use a laboured metaphor).

The breadth of contextual historical knowledge held, the ability to unpack and mine the topics discussed to reveal those areas of most importance / those that were previously (semi) hidden (a skill honed through the radio shows over the years) and the caliber & intellectual pertinency of guests invited - among other things - manifests itself in the production of a radio (podcast) show that is, beyond its sheer enjoyability, much needed in contemporary discourse (this cannot be understated).

Like most of the best things in life - of which podcasts are no exception - it is only after you encounter it that you cannot imagine a viable media landscape without it.

Or, perhaps rather, you daren’t.
