I’ve listened to Hot Copy for a couple of years now as I’ve made my transition from full-time employment to full-time freelance copywriter...and it’s bloomin’ brilliant. The topics are spot on and cover the business side of things as well as copywriting. Kate and Belinda make a great duo and there’s plenty of humour along the way. I’ve picked up so many tips and not only that - it’s also been a huge source of reassurance and encouragement for me as someone who is new to the world of freelancing. I always look forward to listening and always light up when I see a new podcast pop up!

After toying with the idea for several years, I (very) recently decided to knuckle down and become a professional freelance copywriter.

Naturally, I began by scouring the internet for information, devouring the wisdom of Ogilvy, Bly, Halbert and many others before I accidentally stumbled upon this podcast.

Quite simply, this is where every hopeful freelance copywriter should begin their education!

Belinda and Kate provide oodles of helpful information in every bite-size episode. Alongside the mandatory writing tips they provide sage advice on all aspects of running a freelance business. It is this information that I found utterly invaluable.

Unlike many business podcasts, the presenters are a delight to listen to. So much so that my err... "friend" has developed something of a schoolboy crush on Kate Toon.

Their conversation is light and fun but as free from waffle as you would expect from two pro copywriters.

Since I started listening to the podcast about a month ago, I have reeled in my first paying client, secured their repeat business and started using loads of handy processes that I had never even thought of.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who is new to copywriting. It has helped me immensely.

Why didn't I know about this podcast six months ago? I've just binge-listened (that's a thing, right?) to 11 episodes and love the relaxed and humorous approach of both Kate and Belinda. The content is genuinely useful, the guests are interesting and the hosts show themselves to be real people. Can't wait to hear what's coming next. Smashed it.

Great copywriting series so far. The hosts present very well although they sound like they're having way too much fun - they're certainly enthusiastic about the subject.

As a newbie copywriter, it's great hearing how the two hosts (as well as their guests) approach various aspects of the craft. There's always a few takeaways that make me think - that's different, I must try that.
