Description

I’ve been in the trenches with some of the best performers in the world – some who shift how we conceive what’s possible — others who have pushed their own boundaries — ranging from hall of fame athletes to action sport game-changers, entrepreneurs, Mixed Martial Artists, to musicians who influence the rhythm of the world. I’m Dr. Michael Gervais, and I’m excited to decode the many paths toward mastery and provide applied practices that we can all use to be and do more in our lives.

The Finding Mastery podcast is definitely one of my favourite. Michael Gervais is a fantastic interviewer, asking insightful (and sometimes difficult) questions. He clearly has the ability to build rapport with the guests and make them feel at ease sharing their thoughts and feelings. If you are interested in people in general and/or in learning from the best performers in the world do yourself a favour and subscribe!

Micheal is incredibly talented as an interviewer and his level of competence in psychology makes for fascinating listening. This is my favourite podcast because I can listen to every episode, take away nuggets of wisdom and gain insight into the lives of the people he interviews. Some people/topics wouldn’t always be of interest to me, but he finds a way to make them resonate! I cannot recommend his work enough!

I remember hearing an interview with this guy on the Rich Roll podcast a while back and thinking it's a shame I won't get to hear more from him. It was a fantastic interview. One of the stand out ones in the Rich Roll series. Fron what I heard on the second interview (most recently) with Rich is that first interview got Michael inspired to podcast for himself and that's so exciting :) There's an enormous back catalologue for me to explore and the ones I have listened to already are all high quality discussions about pyschology in one way or another. I have found a podcast that matches Shrink Rap Radio for quality and depth. Thanks so much for your generous contribution to the podcast scene. Much appreciated! Faye (London UK)

A thought provoking, and my favourite, podcast (sorry Rich Rolls, you're a very close second!!)

The opportunity to get the inside story from such a vast variety of interesting people is a privilege. I find the questions asked and structure Michael uses to squeeze out the real details fascinating. To open it up for others to understand the methods, motivation and journey never fails to inspire me. Thanks Michael for changing my approach to coaching my athletes, all for the better - I've borrowed some of your open and structured questions with great success, especially in opening up discussion and enhancing my understanding of their motivation, goals and direction. The effort you put into the podcasts is genuinely appreciated, thanks.

I really can’t speak highly enough of this podcast. Whether it is the insight and knowledge we can gain from the frameworks applied by some of the most fascinating people I have ever heard speak or simply hearing some incredible stories and journeys, it’s always really exciting. I look forward to Wednesday each week, knowing that a new episode may be waiting for me to listen as I walk to and from my office. In particular, I really like Michael Gervais’ style in the conversation. He’s so invested in it and so involved, that he brings so much to the conversation himself, establishing a really good relationship and flow with his guests. Overall, a fantastic podcast and one I find so valuable in my own life.

I was introduced to Michael’s work through his connection with the Seattle Seahawks and have been fortunate enough to enjoy the results of his work as a football fan and in relation my own personal development. Finding Mastery is recommended listening to the curious. Moreover the distinguished guests come from varying backgrounds (athletes, coaches, musicians, writers, explorers to mention a few) and provide brilliant insights into what mastery means to them specifically.

Wow! These conversations take you on a thoughtful journey that helps you understand how to achieve "mastery" in your own world. I take notes as I listen to build up my own mastery toolkit. There's so much good information that you'd never remember it all anyway!
