This podcast helped me discover Deftones, Type O Negative, Tool and tonnes of bands who are now may favourites. Ryan, Perran and Beez's chat is hilarious and empassioned, could not recommend this show more.

Beez and Stephen are fantastic hosts and their in-depth discussions about music are so full of passion and energy, it’s incredibly enjoyable to listen to.

I’ve been subscribing/listening to this podcast for roughly 18 months now…and just realised I’ve never left a review. For years my music consumption had been stagnating…I rarely found new albums I liked, went to fewer and fewer gigs (and rarely any ‘new’ gigs) and found myself basically reliving the music of my teens/early 20s in lieu of anything else. This podcast opened my ears to loads of new bands that I now consider to be some of my favourite in the world. Bands like Creeper, Marmozets, Milk Teeth, Moose Blood, Neck Deep, The Interrupters, Zeal & Ardor and Power Trip. Well worth listening to these guys and their recommendations.

Quality show. ive found so many good bands from listening to this! and learned to appreciate some that i didnt think i would like. well funny too.

I found this podcast a year ago and i now couldn’t manage without it. Steve and Beez are hilarious, their content is spot on, and I’d love to meet “Bonjour-the cat”.

I've been listening to rock radio and reviews shows for over 30 years and not since the heydays of John Peel in the late 70's and 80's has a show had such impact on the music on my shelves. Mainly thanks to Hill and Beez I'm more excited my music now than I ever have been. I would however offer the warning that listening to this show regularly is going to cost you a fortune, especially if you buy everything on vinyl like I've been doing. Support this show. Its changing the face of music.

Each week Hill and Beez provide excellent commentary on the week’s metal news as well as reviewing the latest albums and gigs from the world of rock and metal.

What I also love is that they constantly introduce new and upcoming bands to make sure they are heard and give them a platform.

That’s Not Metal has introduced me to so many new bands, is always entertaining and there is never a dull moment!

With excellent and comedic banter from ‘Hill & Beez’ there take on music has become my gospel.

Obviously if you buy your music from Tesco’s shelves (ie stereophonic) you will find the music from this podcast far beyond your intellectual status. You will probably assume (wrongly) it’s just noise!

The best place to get everything you need to know about new music in the rock/metal world. Has turned me on to bands I would never had came into contact with otherwise, and has reignited a passion for heavy music that had waned due to only being exposed to what passes as "metal" in the mainstream. 5 stars isn't enough to do this justice.

You'll hear opinions you won't hear anywhere else in rock journalism, delivered with passion and humour. Absolutely vital listening to anyone that's passionate about rock music.

I've listened to TNM since the start and can say with absolute confidence Hill and Beez are the most genuine, knowledgeable and hardworking guys in music media. I stopped my subscription to Kerrang becuase of the podcast and listen and take on everything the guys record. If you care about music like I do (they do) then this is essential. As dramatic as it might sound, this podcast has completely changed (read improved) not only what I listen too, but the way I listen to music.

I've discovered so many new bands because of it and it's also made me feel accepted and that my opinions aren't as weird as I may think.

I've listened to everyone of their podcasts and most of their specials (there is only so many hours in a day!). I've taken it with me on holiday and on tour, definitely give it a try.

This Podcast is by far the most amazing Podcast on the whole Interwebs. Brilliantly enunciated, hugely entertaining and awesomely funny. They still haven't even mentioned the new Wormrot album yet or don't talk enough about Symposium but i'll let them off lolz
