Absolutely fantastic.

Super interesting podcast. I listen to a good hour or two of these most days at work.

Don’t apologise for your rant, Michael. The latest episode on the murder of Dwayne Jones was utterly heartbreaking and I was shocked to learn of the anti-LGBTQ laws in Jamaica. How backward does this make the Jamaican government look? This is 2019 and like you say, we as a species are moving inevitably towards enlightenment and progress on these issues.

R I P, Dwayne.

MichEAl hosts a brilliant show, which is always good to listen to. I used to listen to music on my drives home, but I’ve been binge-listening to this show for a while, now. All stories, so far, are well-told and excellently balanced. He has a talent for making a story gripping, without forcing an opinion on you (but at the same time expressing the best of human values) and only showing his own emotions when it’s truly required.

If you only listen to one episode, listen to Lake City Quiet Pills and start from there. It’s a curve-ball from the rest, but it’s a great entrance to the rabbit-hole of the macabre.

This is a good podcast, but it used to be great. The early casts on the Original Nightstalker and the Family Murders were amazing, horrible stories but told with zest & vigour - great use of audio and real engagement from the host; he shared his feelings and thoughts as he detailed the stories. I urge new listeners to visit these casts first.

However, the host took a break, came back with a re-imagined pod, overly polished. He’s lost his personal touch, his engagement, and instead sounds like he’s just reading the story (which I know he is, but his delivery is now so deadpan). Worse, he constantly uses the word ‘quote’. Anytime he delivers a comment from one of the players in the story, he prefixes it with ‘quote’...which he delivers as ‘k-wwote’. Sometimes he can use the word a dozen times in a matter of sentences. It’s all I can hear. I’m sure he could reword or revise his delivery to give the same content without using, stop gap, ‘quote’ every time.

I wish the host would drop this overly produced format styling and return to his honest storytelling, with the personal touch.

The best true crime podcast by far

One of my favourite podcasts. Great narration from the host. The only way I could suggest of improving it is to use the haunting piano music that was used in the Alcasser girls episodes as a spooky theme for every episode. I love when a podcast has the same pieces of music within each distinct episode such as in Unexplained with Richard Mclean Smith where a few pieces are repeatedly used to brilliant effect (and it’s theme tune is wonderful).

I’m consistently impressed by this podcast. The research is always well done and thorough; the host makes it clear what’s fact, what’s conjecture, and what’s personal opinion. Informative without relishing is the worst details. Truly one of the best True Crime podcasts out there!

A great, engaging podcast with a thorough yet humble narrator. Great for true crime fans the world over.

I like your podcast a lot but please stop using that awful synthy music - it is so jarring and really distracts. I like to have some music but just not that!

Although the makers of this podcast have made every effort to research the stories, the recordings of friends and families of the victims totally ruin their efforts. The strong accents of many of these family members are just about unintelligible so make listening a strain and effort rather than an enjoyable listening experience. In a recent podcast I understood perhaps 20 percent of what was being said by the victim’s relatives.

I unsubscribed from Sword & Scale as they let the music overpower what they're saying, too. Same with this. It keeps going back into a little musical interlude every 10 minutes which drove me nuts. I needed to speed the speech up as the guy spoke everso slowly...

But the music.....sorry, it totally spoilt it for me.

This is my favourite podcast to exist, I genuinely adore just sitting and listening to the stories, how they’re told and the person’s voice. A very well looked into and detailed topic.

Great podcast that dives deep into all kids of creepy mysteries. The episodes on the Long Island Serial Killer and the Setagaya murders are real masterpieces and freaked me out for days! Hope the podcast grows and prospers.

The audio here really gives the podcast an edge and depth that I've never seen done quite so well anywhere else. Best atmosphere I've ever heard from a podcast. The research is great and the balance of opinion is spot on. The podcast can also be pretty scary at times due to both Michael's voice and the sound choice, I love it!

I stumbled across this podcast accidentally while looking for something new and it quickly became one of my top 3 favourites. Definitely my favourite in the true crime/mystery category by a large margin.

I look forward to every new episode. Keep up the fantastic work!

Well researched and delivered with care and heart. Not just retelling the facts but gives context too. So glad I stumbled on this and look forward to future episodes of perhaps more UK and European crimes too

I've just finished listening to the first episode of the night stalker. I think the information was delivered in a very factual informative manner. I really like the narrative quality of The presenters voice. I especially love the incidental music featured throughout this podcast it gives a sense of place and atmosphere.. I am looking forward to hearing all the episode archive
