Used to love his podcast but since the introduction of one particular presenter I can’t physically listen.
Need to address the sound levels / pitch of her feed.
Content is still okay but terrible voice for “radio”

I have listened to this for a few years now and it remains one of my favourite podcasts. It's not just the content either. I like games but I don't play very often. I just think that the whole production is a fantasic example of how good podcasts can be. Tom and Eric are great presenters and they introduce you to their world and their friends and colleagues in the industry in a really engaging way.
One of the very best.

The Dice Tower used to be a very good podcast about board games, then it was a podcast about Kickstarter, but these days they tend to spend 2/3 of most shows discussing US games conventions most international listeners will never be able to go to. I will be unsubscribing to find something a little more succinct and relevant to me.

Tom & Eric are the Ross & Rachel of board games. Funny and informative, Tom once said on one episode that he was making sure we didn’t waste our money, happily the opposite is true; because of Dice Tower I have spent considerably more.
Want to know more about board games? Then look no further.

Always a great listen! I love the banter between Eric and Tom and although some of the contributors can be as dull as a dishcloth ( probabilities and stats...zzzz), it's informative and, above all, entertaining!

If you love board games then you should listen to this podcast.
Tom can occasionally / frequently be a bit overbearing but Eric is a good counterbalance to this.
They have good sections and tons of good info. Also Tom has a lot of inner knowlegde of how the games industry works and this is very interesting to listen too.
Give it a bash.
Long live cardboard!

Always worth listening to.

There are only two gaming podcasts worth listening to and The Dice Tower is one of them. informative, funny, lots of interesting segments and good reviews. The top tens are very useful as well. Give it a try. If you like boardgames you'll like this podcast.

Let me say this is THE podcast if your into board or card games, the shear joy the presenters have for their hobby is infectious. The podcast has a selection of varied and informative contributors (Jeff is my favourite) and two great presenters. Overall the production is excellent with good music and competition.
There are some problems, sometimes the banter between hosts is a little flat (possibly due to chemistry with a new host) and some of the contributors sections are not great but these moments are rare. If you have even a passing interest in board or card games you should give this a listen

This podcast is a must if you love board games. The reviews are honest, fun and it is a show that the whole family can listen to. Tom and Sam don't only review games but keep you up-dated on the lastest goings on in the gaming world, with many other contributors adding to the show.

All hail the Dice tower

Having only recently discovered the joys of Board gaming, I would have been at a complete loss due to the bewildering amount of games out there if it wasn't for the Dice tower. Tom and Sams recommendations and reviews along with their sense of fun make me confident that the next game I buy will be one that will be worthy in my growing collection. Good stuff.

The Dice Tower is one of the precursors of Boardgaming podcast and has grown to be my farvourite podcast. It is a great show--not only informative, but also very entertaining, and the production has matured over the years. I listen to it when I am on the road or on a bus, makes the journey a thousand times more pleasant, but the down side to that is sometimes I can't help burst out laughing and people often give me strange looks. When you can't play games, it is the next best thing!

This is the podcast for you if you want to keep upto date with the boardgaming world. I for one don't have too much time to browse the web and read lots of reviews. However these guys manage to produce a great podcast that keeps me listening all the time and giving me news whilst being very funny.
Keep up the great work.

The Dicetower is one of the premier boardgaming (and cardgaming) podcasts out there. I didn't get on board until about show #120, but they are so chock-full of useful info and entertaining segments that I've been working my way back steadily through the older episodes (I've got as far as #80). The strength of the podcast is built around the easy banter of the hosts, Tom Vasel and Sam Healey, with their different, yet complementary, views of gaming generating plenty of interesting discussions. Around this core are some superb contributions from people like Moritz Eggert, Geoff Englestein and Eric Sumerer, which combine humour with a deep knowledge of various aspects of gaming (e.g. history, mathematics). A wide spectrum of gaming is represented, from children's games to wargames, and nothing is dismissed, so there's always guaranteed to be something of interest to listen to, whether a game review, session report or breaking news. Speaking of which, the prolific Mr Vasel receives many games before they hit the shops, so up-to-date reports of new games are a highlight of the podcast, but older games are frequently revisited in the form of session reports or the always-entertaining 'Top Ten Lists'. With a great combination of wit, international flavour, knowledge, opinion and diversity, The DiceTower is a great way to find out what's going on in the boardgaming world, what's hot and what's not, and pass away those lonely hours on the daily commute.

Great podcast for boardgame fans everywhere

I have listened to this podcast since show 1, and they are now up to over 130 shows. Coming out every 2 weeks, i find myself anticipating each new episode. Great interplay between the 2 hosts, this is anything but a dry show. Good humour, great game reviews and previews. The inserts from a range of other contributors keep the show fresh and give other perspectives. Tom Vasel is very knowledgeable on all kinds of board game and card games. If you are new to the hobby, listen to the show and visit their website for great advice on games to get started with. Forget monopoly this show is about proper games that are fun, stimulating and a great social experience. And that sums up the Dice Tower for me: fun, stimulating and a great experience. Highly recommended.
