I have followed Joan’s podcast for a couple of years now, and even though her situation is very different to mine, she has helped me so much. It’s been a relief to hear her verbalise some of the thought processes I’ve been struggling with, and I feel like she has become a cheerleader in my life, encouraging me to keep moving forward and not get stuck in the immobilisation of loss. She is so rawly honest yet so positive at the same time - a breath of fresh air in the middle of all the grief resources that are out there.
After becoming widowed, are you wondering why you are feeling the way you do (or not feeling!)? As a widow and as a widow coach, I want to share my story and insights for other widows to feel that connection and know they are not alone.
I have to admit to being a very sceptical Brit at first. However, I have now listened to each episode several times over and always when I go to sleep. Thank you!
Very helpful show and great guests. Thank you for doing this Joann.
Bite sized nuggets of gold from Joann. Delivered with warmth and honesty.
Having recently lost my husband (at a young age) I have found Joann's podcasts a refreshing change.
She's made me feel a lot less insane in these difficult early days. It's the friend you wish was sitting on your sofa talking some sense (and she has a lovely voice to listen to).
For sharing your story I have found it very moving, brave & honest.
