Just wanted to thank Adam and Harry for their great podcasts. I’ve really enjoyed listening to the variety of content. The advice and honest portrayals of starting and running a new business have been an inspiration. As I’m in the process of working my final few months of employment and preparing my start up the podcast was a great discovery. Refreshing to see such generosity in sharing content.

Been listening to this for a few months now and really admire how honest Adam and Harry are, they don’t sugar coat anything unlike a lot of other podcasts. The content is also highly informative and yet still manages to be entertaining and therefore enjoyable to listen to. Keep up the good work

I am a complete and utter newbie when it comes to Podcasts
Adam and Harry have supported myself and some friends of mine who have just started our own mental health podcast, so thought it only right to actually listen to my first ever podcast, and where better to start!
I am honestly hooked. The camaraderie between Little (Adam) and Large (Harry) is so clear in all of the podcasts I’ve listened to so far. Some absolute golden nuggets of information in every episode so far and just honest, open, helpful advice
Keep up the excellent work chaps, I’ve only got about 200 episodes to get through, kisstory and Spotify have literally become redundant overnight

Only just discovered this podcast and wish I had seen this months ago. Real insight into various aspects of the business and love the marketing bits. As a company specialising in selling out intranet product it’s refreshing to know that sales in trade and sales in our industry are all relatable. Fantastic and definitely recommended. Thanks for your time and effort!

I love listening to these guys, they have me in stitches every time I listen. Being in full time employment and running 3 businesses (The Printers, Natural Beautii & The Od Sock Co 👍 cheeky plug) this podcast gives me a lot of content that I can implement into my businesses to drive them forward. They explain things a clear and simple way and having listened back to over 200 podcasts in the last couple of weeks I’ve had a number of lightbulbs moments that I’ve been able to replicate and transform my way of thinking. Being around the corner (in small town Leicestershire) from these guys gives me an even bigger connection. Would recommend to anyone at any stage of business or career to have a listen.

I’ve listened to the start up diary from the very beginning. You guys deliver valuable content on a consistent basis with a simple yet authentic approach. This podcast has gained huge traction over a period of time and you guys have stayed true to who you are and your approach. I respect that massively and can’t help but think I’m not alone in thinking this.
Keep up the great work, looking forward to listening to your journey continue!

If you have started your own business, you will know how hard it really is! Having formed Leasing Plus in 2018, nothing could have prepared me for challenges I would face and for the down days. Adam & Harrison not only provide lots of really useful information but also help you focus on the positives (wins) and reassure you that you are not a snowflake. Start at episode 1 and consume away.

A great podcast and an aboslute must listen to anyone thinking of starting a new business or is in the start up sector like I am. I heard the hype on the CPA podcast and had to go find it and listen to it. I have to say I agree with other listeners that this subject is often so over explained it gets confusing. Yet you delivered it very simply and easy to understand. Keep up the great work and I hope there are more practical lessons like this that will make your podcast more valueable to listeners from all backgrounds. Thumbs up guys. Rich.

I’ve been listening now for about a month and have consumed just over 220 episodes. It’s been absolutely brilliant to hear about the good, the bad and the ugly of running a business. And, whilst my own business, More Than A Website Ltd (plug 😉) is the waaaaay behind in terms of revenue and size, it’s given me so much actionable gems of information that I’ve started to put into practice. If you’re thinking about running a business, no matter what niche, this is the only podcast you’ll ever need. I’ve even dropped Gary V for these guys! Keep it up, I’ll see you in Slack!

I found your podcast (Start Up Diary) back in July and have started listening to all of them from Episode 1 (currently on Episode 220) so nearly up to date (Finally)!!
I didn't want to miss out on any episodes and felt that it’s important for me to follow your journey from day one, rather than trying to pick up relevant content from the near past, and I must say that I totally relate to your thoughts and mentality, when you were planning 6 months in advance to leaving your old job and starting your current business, as this is where I am at in my current personal life too! (Even have my first child on the way due April 2019!).
I’m throughly enthralled in your journey so far (up to where I am at in your podcasts), and really value your openness on the podcasts and the personal elements you both bring to them, which makes them so unique. I am very much looking forward to catching up and following you in the present and witness your progress live.
Even though my initial business idea is a complete contrast to your business and have been only a concept, an idea, a dream for many years, I find so much genuine good advice and inspiration from you and your team, with the honesty you bring being so valuable, which I hope will give me the push to take the leap of faith and begin my own start up!
I just wanted to touch base to just offer my thanks for the content, information and inspiration you have given so far to me, and to offer my best wishes for you, your team, your business and family, I hope you continue to grow and become the business you have always envisioned it to become.
Thank you and good luck

Every aspect of startup life makes it onto this unique podcast. If you're entranced with the world of startups, the guys will help you take off those rose-tinted specs and face reality. But if there's a corner of the universe you care enough about to make their problems your problem, then a regular dose of Startup Diary will help you discover how you could make a difference. And if you can make a difference then just maybe you can make a business.

I’m loving the start up diary podcast, I’ve been around Expert Trades for a couple of years now and involved in the community. I only really learned of the podcast around a month ago but I’m hooked, there’s real chunks of valuable information in each episode and If you are proactive and action what you are listening to you will grow and succeed.
The banter between Harry and Adam combined with the passion and drive is what makes the show unique, I really enjoy the listeners questions and how the guys go about answering them. Currently listening to Mitchell’s interview on the way home, I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing whilst thinking this kid has got it! I didn't want to get out of the van and stop listening.
Keep up the great work!!

I started thinking about making a podcast. I’m a podcast addict but I needed new and obscure, maybe niche.....and on that basis I thought I’d listen to some out of the Wilson package. Just stuff that someone else felt was worth curating. Why Wilson....cos it’s close to my surname, no other reason.
I got soooo hooked on this podcast. I had no idea what business this related to and I decided not to look, until about episode 40 and then I was nearly bursting to know and looked up the author on LinkedIn ...and realised we were really in the same sort of industry.
I’m addicted to this, I’m less than a third of the way in, but I LOVE it. It alternately makes me feel like a failure and like there is ultimate opportunity. But the main thing is that it’s driving my two businesses forward....every episode has exposed a weakness that needs sorted or an opportunity we haven’t taken advantage of yet. ABSOLUTE gold.

Adam & Harrison have created a community which should be staple listening for anyone involved in a startup or small business. The topics of conversation are 100% relatable to the trials and tribulations of any start up business or small company. I run a small part time business called Batterski, a ski business is south London. I’ve emailed in questions to the podcast which Adam and Harry have discussed on the show, I’ve applied their advice and it works. It will work for you too!
Keep up the good work guys.

Stumbled across this podcast about 2 weeks ago and having started at the first episode I haven't listened to anything else whilst I've been driving my white Ford, just finished listening to todays latest podcast 217.
Adam (font of all business knowledge) and his best mate & Co worker Harry are a great team, a very natural and easy to listen to pair of likeable guys.
I have loved listening to startup diary and have have found the show to be well produced with real day to day problems of business being discussed in a very honest and professional manner.
Just wondering if you are going to write a book on your journey that you have been on starting up your own businees Adam.
I've been in business for 15 years and the last year has been the toughest, motiavtion has been a real problem for me, what are your views on this and what are your thoughts on a business mentor?
Thanks guys for making this podcast such an enjoyable and interesting podcast.

I'm currently listening to you guys by the side of the pool in Paphos and I wanted to say thank you so much for everything you're doing. I've been obsessed with my startup idea for weeks now and I promised my wife I wouldn't take a laptop on holiday to switch off and spend time with the family. I saved 20 episodes to listen to while I’m away and boy, I'm I glad I did.
Episode 208: Understanding cost per acquisition is hands down the best podcast I've heard on the subject. The way you succinctly broke down the topic was clearer than anything I've read in books. I was wondering if you have show-notes or transcripts from the episode you can share with me, I would really like to study that breakdown in more detail to get a better understanding?
Towards the end of the episode Adam spoke about how to validate an idea, I would love you guys to do an episode on this topic. It would be great to hear your thoughts on validating an idea through a landing page. How many sign ups shows genuine interest? Is entering card details the true measure of validation? Should you pitch your grand vision irrespective of the MVP?
Any further insight you can give on this or validating an idea in general would be greatly appreciated. Apologies for the long email, I may not have taken my laptop on holiday, however it's amazing how much work can be done with a phone and a decent wifi connection!
Keep up the great content guys.

Following Adam and his team through the trials and tribulations of running a company. Follow the highs and lows, The challenges, the frustrations as well as the successes. This is no holes bared listening to what it’s like to be a small business owner today in 2018. Adam obviously cares passionately about his business and sitting down with Co worker and mate Harrison they discuss how and where they have gone wrong and how and where they want to improve things. It’s a must listen for anyone who’s run a start up, small business or wants to.

I have listened to so many podcasts about ‘business’ but all I have ever found were people talking about the psychology around business and ‘keeping positive’ etc. Which is great, but this is the real grit of what to actually DO, which is what I have been searching for! Adam and Harrison’s take on the startup journey often goes off topic, but that’s the genius of this podcast. These guys are brutally honest about their wins and losses, their moments of genius and abject failures, and just the day to day stresses of startup life.
If you ever lose motivation, listen to these guys. You really feel that you’re a part of the Expert Trades team, and they will be honest about EVERYTHING. My own startup idea was going nowhere, but by episode 150 I had handed in my resignation and had a new clarity about what I wanted to do next.
Well done guys.

I’ve blasted through most episodes now and some twice over as they are that informative.
For anyone in business, this really is an accurate and extremely honest view of running a startup and beyond. Both Adam and Harri are giving you real life situations which for any startup is invaluable and these boys will save you time in years and money by listening and taking what they say on board. Trust me I’ve been there and I’d like to say it gets easier but……
Enjoy the learning experience; these guys are addictive and makes learning intriguing.
