Great shows

I really enjoy all the shows, it's great to hear detailed insights from people that live and breathe basketball. Keep up the good work

Only one bad show, the rest are excellent.

Such an entertaining, informed, and rewarding podcast. Only drops one star because John Gonzalez finds new ways to be irritating every single week (and is also the least well informed). Could also do with less Chris Ryan, but every other presenter and guest are outstanding. O'Connor and Shea are the best of the bunch.

Fantastic

Really enjoy all the shows, especially the mismatch and corner 3. All goats have great, natural chemistry and provide plenty of insight. Perfect for an NBA fan in the UK who struggles to keep up with all the games and get enough sleep.

Almost 5 stars

Have been listening since it started. Love Kevin O’Connor and of course Bill Simmons, best NBA dedicated pod by far. Chris Vernon is really awful, no thoughtful takes just insults players and teams with no insightful comments and too annoying to pull off the hot take style of commentary. The others seem to really love basketball and appreciate the NBA whereas Vernon doesn’t

Should be a 5 out of 5

I want to give this pod full marks, but unfortunately I just can’t. If it was just a weekly “mismatch” with Chris vernon and Kevin o conflict then it would be. Some of the other daily shows talk about the laker and 76ers too much. I get that they are in LA and LeBron is now as well, but if they get onto the subject it’s the same stuff I’ve heard before. Chris and Kevin on a Tuesday though... just love them. I find myself agreeing with both of them at different times, but it feels more about THEIR actual feelings, rather than them being media members and watching what they say. Maybe the other days will grow on me, but at the moment I’m still not feeling them as much

Great basketball content

As someone who only started following basketball around 4 years ago, this podcast has been brilliant. Really enjoy the stuff you guys put out and the difference across the various shows. All the best from a British basketball fan!

Mostly great content, but choose wisely

Been listening since the BS days, and continued with the rotating presenters. Nothing too offensive re basketball content, though it is now more of a pick and mix, depending on guests, content and presenters.
One thing to note..., Juliet Litman makes it unlistenable. I’m sorry, but she is an assault on the ears, even before considering the content she provides is generally puerile when she’s on. I gave it a few episodes after the format change, but unfortunately those episodes now go straight to delete.

Great Podcast!!!

Kevin O’Connor AKA Kevin O’Bomber AKA Kevin O’Conflict is THE guy for NBA news and reaction. Knows what he’s on about and can argue his points logically. Verno is OK I guess

So good you don’t even need to watch any basketball

Best basketball podcast network. Period.
Shouts to Zach Lowe tho

Verno and KOC are great

Chris Vernon and KOC have a great show and that’s why I continue to listen. The rest of the contributors are decent but don’t come close to what these guys do.

Content first please

I know it’s not just this show but why do so many podcasts open with a sponsor read? Even on TV where the ads are early on, you still
Get a bit of entertainment. Listeners first please !

Mixed bag

The ringer NBA show is superb, excellent basketball content but is unfortunately supplemented with spoken word gossip columns. An idea might be to separate these products from each other. I like basketball, I do not watch TMZ sports.

Some changes arent for the best

I used to really enjoy the previous version of the pod. Great bball talk. My gripe with this new version is mainly due to the duo Chris Ryan and Juliet Litman: when they present, it s all about the gossip part of the NBA, all about liking or disliking players personality... Super boring when this is the main topic of conversation, and quite an unfortunate departure from what the pod usually is. Please go back to being an insightful pod about the game of basketball.
Thank god I have now realised there is a rotation in hosts. The duo Vernon+O’Connor are the bomb! They rock!

Great shows but...

Juliet Litman is very difficult to listen to, and I’ll avoid any show she is on from now on. Just her overall quality of analysis, and topics of conversation she brings to the show are inaccurate (for the former) and dull and gossipy (for the latter). I listen to this podcast for actual analysis and in depth conversation about team and players not to talk about Lonzo Ball’s haircut or players’ twitter beef or whatever inane social media topic of the day is.

Brilliant

Usually a good analysis of what is going on in the NBA right now. All the guys who run the different shows generally have some great points of view that make you think

Best NBA pod

O'Connor and Vernon compliment each other perfectly. Analytic basketball mind combined with that of a more traditional fans perspective works really well as a formula.
Also High Upside is a great draft pod .
On the downside thought Vernon was a Memphis guy and sounds nothing like Jerry the King Lawler. Really sad

Real NBA talk

Chris is great. Completely down to earth a gives real talk on basketball. Guests are real guys just talking ball. Giving smart options and laughing about the silliness of so much of the league. I look forward to the 2 shows a week.

Chris Vernon is not great

Clearly this chap has a tough job to follow Simmons but he is not even getting anywhere close. Seems to have departed from the different and unique style of "Simmons brand" podcasts and is just the standard formulaic rubbish of other American sports podcasts.

New presenter is like audible sandpaper

I used to really enjoy listening to this show, since the presenter change I can barely get a minute into it as the new presenter is almost unlistenable. Terrible decision to make the change.

Simmons' bread & butter

If Bill Simmons knows anything about anything, it's the NBA. Episode hosts vary from Simmons and former Grantlanders Chris Ryan and Juliet Litman to Ringer podcast producer Tate Frazier. A great blend of analysis, gossip, and interviews.
