Anyone who likes films really has to listen to this. Really terrific couple - their banter is often hilarious. Not remotely nerdy or art house pretence, down to earth genuine enthusiasm. Dave is a Marvel fanboy though so take his pronouncements there with a pinch of salt ;-)

Dave and Cathy are great! They give honest film reviews which are fun and the banter is the icing on the cake. Anyone who is remotely interested in watching movies should give this a go!

My favourite part of going to the cinema is not only the big screen experience but the excitement and chatter with friends afterwards as everyone comes tumbling out. Then going home and watching Kermode’s take and now added to my routine is Dave and Cathy’s podcast. A really down to earth and genuine take on film reviewing that keeps you excited and in that moment of a trip out. A few days later / a week later my rumination, reflections and learnings may alter my sense of a film (for better or for worse). But this captures that magical moment of cinema and I love it. X

Married Couple, Cathy And Dave, are true and honest when it comes to reviewing films. They are hilarious and I would recommend this Podcast to everybody even if they don't like films!

Totally writing this because Cathy mentions all the time about giving 5 star reviews and I have for so long forgotten to do it.

It’s pretty rare that you find a podcast where the two hosts have such great chemistry, even most married couples don’t have chemistry like this. The back and forth between Dave and Cathy is brilliant, I love the loose freeform style of the conversations and the disagreements between them. Nice to always see their differing points on view, I pretty much always respect their opinions even if I vastly differ on them.

Long time listener, Listened to every single episode and hope it never stops. I always love listening to the podcast, even if it’s for films I have no desire seeing.

Admittedly I don’t listen to this podcast very often, only because I have falling out of love with mainstream cinema. But when I see they’re covering a film I like I love to listen to they’re review. Really well structured and easy listening.

Love this podcast. Responsible for me laughing out loud on my own in public on many occasions. The Ladybird discussion was just the best. But, so are all the rest. And, the review of the original Bladerunner made me go back and re-watch it after decades of thinking I didn’t like it ... turns out I love it. One small thing ... please, please do review The Wicker Man. I’m itching for Cathy’s take on this.

Just fantastic. Love the bickering and squabbling. But content great and feels like I am listening to friends on the way home. As an Irish person in London feels like a bit of back home but not at the same time. Well done.

The first episode I listened to was the one on “A Simple Favour”. I’m happy to listed to a spoiler-ey podcast as I’d seen the film. However they randomly started talking about Shutter Island which is on my list, but not something I’ve watched yet.

They totally spoiled the ending of that film (thanks for that) so I stopped listening immediately.

Not sure why they’d take it upon themselves to start giving away plot points and twist reveals for a film that has no bearing on the one they’re supposed to be reviewing.

There wasn’t much film reviewing either.

I wont be listening again.

Always a good listen - Lady Bird was a classic - opposing opinions exchanged, discussed and evaluated, little bit of edge but always amicable and respectful. I love Dave and Cathy.

The Cinemile is such a fun and interesting film podcast to listen to. Dave and Cathy are the perfect hosts, and bounce off each other with ease. They might not always agree with each other, but their differences are what make this podcast so inviting. I also look forward to baby Oscar growing up and getting involved in the action!

Love listening to Cathy and Dave discuss and argue about movies - especially when little Oscar makes a cameo.

Used to love listening to this podcast but getting increasingly frustrated by the Whiney comments from Cathy , such a shame , used to feel fun

As a window cleaner I have a lot of time to listen to Podcast’s. I listen to about 45 a week and the cinemile podcast is one I always look forward to. It’s in my top 3. Dave and Kathy are really well versed in cinema and all ways make you smile.

I loved this when I first started to listen, it fills the walk to and from work perfectly. The concept of talking about a film while you are on your way to see it and then review on the way home is fantastic. However, I have found that the last couple of months have become a bit of a slog to listen to. Cathy gets way too political with the feminism view for me and quite often decides if she likes the film before she has actually seen it. She can often talk all over Dave and try to convert his opinion to hers rather than respect the differing view point. Get back to basics, see the films and review them as entertainment please. Still a 4 Star review despite my recent grumbles.

More often than not I disagree with Dave and Cathy but I always enjoy spending time with them. It think that’s probably the sign of a great podcast.

Love your work, you two and if ever you want a considered voice of consent, I’m just a few stops down the train line from you.

A brilliant film podcast in which super-likeable couple Dave and Cathy walk to and from the cinema, recording their thoughts post and pre movie screening. Often hilarious, always insightful, I can’t recommend this podcast (complete with charming marital bickering) enough!!

Entertaining and informative. Really likeable presenters. OK, Cathy has gone a wee bit doolally but that should pass as the baby grows. Congratulations, by the way.

Cathy and Dave chose a great format for their podcast and their love of good movies is palpable - the result is a very enjoyable podcast. I like the way the presenters mix things up sometimes by bringing in a friend or parent, so that we can hear different views or get some interesting insights as was the case with Cathy's Dad talking about Dunkirk. Other highlights in my view were the podcasts on Three Bridges and the one recorded after Cathy and Dave watched The Exorcist for the first time. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Annihilation after I finish watching it!

A must-listen whether you like movies or lovely people - or both! Cathy and Dave are hugely likeable and charming, and every episode is an enjoyable listen. Keep up the good work, guys!

What can I say but this podcast stands out for me due to the originality and warmth of Dave and Cathy as hosts. If you love films then listen to this podcast immediately!......oh little note to Dave and Cathy but more episodes like your GoT episodes on some other TV shows would be amazing! Thanks guys!

This is a bloody brilliant podcast. Got recommend to me by a friend and is just fantastic. A great pitch for those who like the cinema but don’t need too much over the top filmy gumff! Often has me laughing out loud as I listen on my commute.

Whether or not you’re into cinema, it’s nice to listen to a podcast by people who seem like nice down to earth people.

As it happens I do enjoy cinema, and also appreciate listening to their roaming commentary about films.

Edit. Having really enjoyed this podcast since I started listening to it, it’s recently taken a turn to the political. Which is a shame. I enjoyed it to escape the everyday politics that plays out all over my social media. Ciao and thanks for the good times.

How comforting it is to know that marital squabbling can leak into movie criticism as well as determining who’s turn it is for the next domestic chore.

This is the most refreshing and natural podcast I have heard in a long time. I have two new friends to discuss movies with.

Describing a film using The term "fun" or "that was a fun movie" could not be more over used than in these podcast. Nor does it give any insight to a movie.

Talking about - 'oh I couldn't see tom hardys face in Dunkirk' illustrates how much Cathy and Dave missunderstand the fact the camera was fixed on the guys face for the duration of the movie and how somehow the guy managed to built tension and fear using just his eyes. There was no background to focus on just his eyes. Amazing performance by him. Crap review.

Talking over a senses step by step in G.O.T is also not giving a review. It's just retelling what I seen in words. Review it properly.

This is my favourite film podcast, two charming people having a very natural and sincere conversation about films. She knows loads of stuff, he knows loads of stuff about Marvel together their dynamic is wicked funny. Many hearts.

Very clever format. The Cinemile is the go-to podcast for a quick, bright, funny, and witty review. Even though Dave is frequently wrong about everything, he sells it with a pinch of charm which lets him off. Cathy is normally right, and is far more funny and witty than Dave. Sorry Dave.

I know I like it because it's the first one I choose to listen to on my commute to work and I don't even turn it off for spoiler street.

Dave and Cathy are charming, funny and unerring in their movie reviews but the bit I like most is the creeping sense of familiarity I get from listening to podcast after podcast. I'm left with a weird feeling of knowing them without ever having met them. On finding out they were having a baby I turned to my wife and said "Dave and Cathy are having a baby!" To which she replied "Who's Dave and Cathy?"

I discovered this podcast about 3 months ago and have become quite addicted to it. I've gone through the back catalogue & have to say that I agree almost wholeheartedly with each movie Cathy and Dave have reviewed (although I'm definitely Team Dave when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!).

If you like movies and like talking about why you like movies, then this is the podcast for you! 🤓
