I really like the easy style David brings to this programme, he’s ever so good with members of the public and respectful of “expert” helpers. I for one have not had enough of experts.

The existence of this podcast is like finding an article that expresses a view you exactly have but have never been able to articulate so well. As soon as I heard the premise I instantly recognised that feeling of somehow having "missed the class" on certain topics and just mentally skipping over them whenever they come up. It works because David Baddiel is clearly genuinely baffled by each topic and is making an honest attempt as someone with his fair share of brains to get some understanding of it. I love that it's quick - frankly if you can't get your head around something in 15 minutes the explainer doesn't understand it themselves or doesn't actually want you to.

This is a really enjoyable podcast, I've learned something from every episode. I really like the attempt to retell someone else the topic as that's the way I find that I begin to understand a topic.

I found this podcast a week ago and had heard the entirety of the 2 seasons within 2 days. Very interesting, very funny and great entertainment. I whole-heartedly recommend it.

This isn't really long enough to give the subject justice. If you want a short listen and to sort of pretend you now understand the subject it's alright. I know this is intended to be light listening so can't get too heavy, but could go a bit further.

I already like David's other endeavours so it was a relief that I also liked his pod cast. Nothing worse than liking someone's tv shows and books then not enjoying their podcast. It's a good way to spend 15 mins learning about things that most of us don't know.
