The whole podcast series had alot of suspense that made it more interesting. I was always looking forward to my walks.

I stopped listening the podcast after 2 episodes because i couldn’t taking anymore. The commercials are very long, in fact even the commercial has a small story inside.. anyway i decided to give up👎

The ads are super annoying though and bring me out of the world of the story so much, and I feel like I can never tap “skip 30 seconds” fast enough when they come on..

Utterly compelling from the get go. I gobbled up each episode, completely mesmerised by the story’s twists and turns and marvelling at the fine balance of uncertainty and intrigue maintained throughout.

What a pain! Was really looking forward to this but that gabbling voice in the ads turned me right off. I’ve deleted it. Really not going there with that going on every few minutes.

Radio drama can often disappoint - not with this podcast. Not quite at the end of season one and I love how new plot points are revealed in such a way as to keep me gripped. The script and acting are excellent abd I feel as if I’m eavesdropping on real conversations. Echos of The Bourne trilogy but not copycat. This is so good I don’t want to watch the TV remake.

Great! The episodes are cleverly jumbled and interesting - the amazing character of Belfast is so dark and well written.

This was the podcast that started my Gimlet Media experience, for which I am ever thankful.

Ive been a fan of radio drama since I was a child, this wonderfully, compelling series is up there with the best. From the story to the sound design, I was grabbed from the first episode. The next two Gimlet dramas, ‘Sandra’ and “The Horror of Dolores Roach” are just as assured, beautifully produced storytelling.

I absolutely loved this podcasts, so much so that I listened to all of the episodes in one day. The only drawback for me is that the ending felt a tad rushed, but then again I would happily listen to a season full of hour long episodes describing the wonderful life I like to imagine Walter and Heidi had. All of the voice actors were incredible. There is just one single question I want answering: WILL THERE BE A SEASON 3?!!

Was so good at first, really engrossed and loved the immersive audio.

Second series just felt like filler and some episodes just didn’t feel like they fit.

The ending....meh.

Excellent cast. David Schwimmer in particular is ridiculously good.

I really enjoyed this series and am really looking forward to season 3. The acting in this by all voice actors was extremely remarkable, it was incredibly engaging and realistic which was also down to the amazing sound design and foley. I recommend this to anyone looking for their next favourite series.

Insanely happy that I didn’t find this until 2 whole seasons were available for binge listening. This ticks all the boxes for me: crime, drama, documentary feel and great actors. Loved hearing Chris Getherd (sp?) of Beautiful Anonymous in one of the rolls. Highly recommended.

Well writen, mostly great acting, interesting story. Second season seems to tail off a bit, both in character development & story arc, the constant use of the same interstitial music even when it doesn’t fit with the scene started to grate. Small gripes, overall an excellent production.

This is a top class podcast well above the usual story formats. Well written and fantastic performances - this sets a whole new standard in audio storytelling

I had never listened to scripted podcasts before but, seeing as this was a Gimlet production, I gave this a go. It's really, really good. A great story supported by brilliant acting. The actor who plays Heidi is particularly stellar.

It's great that someone is trying to make long form audio drama, something that we have more of in the UK than I believe is common in the US. The problem is that long form doesn't mean rambling. They seem to have the germ of a good story but don't know how to tell it. It's so rambling, without rounding out characters or moving the story on. You could tell the story of each season so far in 1 paragraph each. Writing is a skill and quality is more important than quantity. The makers of this program need to realise that.

Season 2 is not good. Excellent production values and cast but the writers seem to have forgotten to add any drama to the tedious, repetitive plot. Pointless and disappointing after Season 1 (very much worth listening to)

I've really enjoyed listening to this podcast.

The characters are all flawed yet I find myself rooting for all of them (even the self-centred ones).

The storyline has me hooked each week as I eagerly anticipate the next.

Look forward to more fiction please.

I was taken in by this story. Getting really angry with a particular character and feeling awkward whilst listening to anothers dialouge. It's brilliant. More like this please.

I normally can't get in to radio drama style podcasts, but decided to give Homecoming a go - I'm so pleased I did: interesting story, wonderfully acted with first-class production values. The running time for each episode felt just about right too. I look forward to season 2!

This is my first fictional podcast & I really enjoyed it. It took me a couple of episodes to really get into it, but by the end I was totally hooked & am eagerly awaiting the next series.

I listened to all the episodes I've the last 2 days and if it was a book I'd say it was un-put-down-able. I've never listened to a radio play style podcast before and this had me hooked. I wanted to know the next twist and turn and can't wait for the next series. Great work!

I listen to an awful lot of podcasts, and rarely do I find one which makes me want to binge on all episodes at once. But Homecoming was different - I listened to the entire series in one long car journey, and I was hooked. The story is incredibly believable, and extremely well acted and executed. I won't spoil the ending, but suffice to say I'm looking forward to a second season (fingers crossed we find out a bit more!). The acting is second to none - it's been a while since I listened to something which allowed me to visualise the story quite so clearly. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a good story, good acting, and good plot twists.

... but the storyline is lacking for me. Something missing. Hence 3/5.

I'm also sceptical of the amount of premature (positive) reviews and ratings. How so many people can give a series 5 Stars after only one episode is beyond me. All a bit fishy.

I get a lot of recommendations for audio drama podcasts. Too often, they are amateurish and badly written projects from the under talented. Homecoming is head and shoulders above the rest. The big name cast not only lends it gravitas, but also acts as an important plot device: the listener recognises someone's voice when the protagonist doesn't, which is key to how the story unfolds. Highly, highly recommended.
