I’m a British expat, so some of the US tax or account focus is not relevant to me, but the stories and the guests they have on are so inspiring and the lessons can be applied to anybody based anywhere.

I’m now on the journey to FI and wish I had only found choose FI sooner!

Been listening to this for a while now and i really recommend it. It’s a super blend of practical, interesting advice on approaches to FI and entertaining, inspirational chat about going for your goals from such a range of people. It connects with me as Brad and Jonathan aren’t pushy and feel genuinely invested in simply spreading this message and encouraging people to take control. Highly recommend!

Always an interesting listen with a variety of guests covering off useful topics

Even for a UK listener this is must listen, however far you are along your FI journey. A brilliant podcast with a range of topics and guests that guides you through to FIRE. The FIRE is spreading!

As a newbie to FI, I really appreciate how Brad and Jonathan give advice that is practical, realistic and honest! It really helps me to apply the techniques to my own life and even though I’m not American, I still gain a huge amount of knowledge! They also make me laugh which is always a bonus! Thanks guys! :)

I am in the UK, but the content on this show is universal. My go to resource for all things FI. I love the guest interviews and then how this is deconstructed on the round up show. Well presented, relaxed and just full of great actionable advice.

I discovered this podcast after seeing an interview with Brad on BBC recently. Even though much of it is American-centric, many of the core concepts and ideas are easily transferable or adaptable to wherever (or whoever) you are. Johnathan and Brad are very easy to listen to and are very good at delivering their ideas and processes very clearly. It's almost like eavesdropping in on two guys at a bar having a casual chat. I'm 20 episodes in and am *just* beginning to identify which voice belongs to whom.

Another UK listener here. The great content of this podcast has had me binge listening since discovering it a couple of months ago.

I love the diverse interview guests and the pointed interview style with actionable take aways, they’re so good at really drilling down and getting the story in a truly understandable narrative for the listener.

Some of the things that are discussed aren’t always relevant for listeners outside the US, but there is usually a morsel of wisdom that can be translated from these sections.

It would be great to have more international interview guests to see how people have achieved FI outside the US, or more guests who have ‘geo-hacked’ their way to FI.

I've only just discovered this podcasts but went back to listen to some old ones, thank! I've only recently realised that early financial independence could (and will) result from my lifetime of saving, thrift and not trying to keep up with the rat race. Whilst my parents taught me prudence, I've had to teach myself the hard way to save and invest more cheaply and effectively. I think the FI community needs podcasts like this because they challenge accepted wisdom as portrayed by mainstream media, with it's focus on fear, greed and the next product or pill that will solve your problem. Very much enjoying listening to this podcast. I like the two guys leading it, their differing opinions, and humility to state that they are also on the journey.

I’m listening from England and came to this via minimalism with Courtney Carver and Cait Flanders who both mentioned Dave Ramsey. I love the baby steps Dave has and it got me quickly to focus and pay off debt and start saving.

Then I wanted a vision and found Vicki Robin and this Podcast.

I enjoy Brad and Jonathan’s clarity and determination to get the practical and repeatable steps from each interview. They are so enthusiastic and generous. I’ve learned lots and enjoy listening to all the interviews.

Jonathan and Brad at ChooseFI do an amazing job of building a comprehensive foundation for Financial Independence, and then build on that with great advice on investing, side hustles, house hacks and more. Getting to FI can be hard, but listening to these guys and their listeners always encourages.

The hosts Jonathan & Brad are the real deal. Humble, transparent, coachable and generous. They are respectful of every listener, no matter where you are on your financial journey. They complement each extremely well, providing invaluable financial advice and insight, both fromtheir own experience and their excellent selection of guests. They are passionate about sharing the gift of freedom that being in control of your finance has on your life. They don't just talk the talk, they follow through on their own advice (Jonathan recently left his $100k+ year job). Yet the more you listen, the more you realize that money is only a small part of Financial Independence, it's more to do with optimizng your life and just being just a little more intentional with your decisions each day. Listening from Ireland. Even though realistically I’m a fair distance away from FI, the hacks, tips and tricks are already being implemented into my day to day life and I’m seeing results. I love how they branch out into entrepreneurship, personal development, philosophy and other areas so it doesn’t just become every week about index funds and 401ks. Superb pod.

Great podcasts keep up the good work.Been on the journey for just over two years now in the uk.Bit of a late starter.

Yet another Brit who is currently binge listening to this series of podcasts. ChooseFI is hosted by a duo who are so knowledgeable, self effacing and enthusiastic about their chosen passion that you can’t help but get swept up by it all.

Yes, some of the podcasts discuss items that are specific to the US but that’s hardly a surprise bearing in mind that the guys are based in Richmond, Virginia.

Substitute ‘SIPP’ with ‘401K’ and ‘ISA’ for Roth IRA (I think?) and it’ll make a bit more sense for the UK listeners. And if there’s one thing that becomes hugely evident from the US bias is just how lucky we are to have the NHS!!! :o)

Every individual podcast has taught me something new and I’ve been on the FI path for almost a decade (nearly there)!

If you have any interest in stepping off of life’s ‘hamster wheel’ then this is a great place to start.

Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

I came to ChooseFI in the summer via The Escape Artist and haven't looked back since! The episodes are hugely enjoyable but, more importantly, encourage the audience to broaden their horizons and then stretch them some more... This community will be especially important when the markets inevitably correct and we can all support each other not to panic and make bad financial decisions...Thank you Jonathan and Brad!

I picked up this podcast through the appearance of the eponymous “theescapeartist” from episode 49. I’ve started to go back through earlier episodes (38 and 21 if you are beginner to the podcasts) whilst keeping up with the twice weekly new episodes. I’ve had a lot of fun along the way and whilst I don’t agree with everything that the guys or guests say there’s always enough great stuff in here to keep you listening.

There is a lot that is US specific (e.g. 401Ks etc.) but if you cut through that there is so much content I will struggle to get to the current episode as I keep repeating the early ones. It has really helped me keep focus in so many areas of my life and to start structuring my finances towards becoming financially independent. I owe you!

Hands up, I admit I found Brad and Jonathan a bit too, "American" in that very British, critical sense of the word at first. You know, it's hard for a cynical, dour Scotsman to believe anyone can be so positive! But the more I listened, the more I gained and the more I realised that these guys are real, genuine, good guys who want to share something really powerful - a tangible path to self actualisation! Now every Monday & Friday as soon as I get up, I switch them on and consume all their great insights into the amazing world of FI with my scrambled eggs!

Love, love, love this Podcast. For anyone that thinks there must be more to life than the hamster wheel drudgery of working for somebody else for most of your waking hours, for most of your active life - but who doesn't know how to escape it.

Realistic, practical advice on being clever about your finances to get your money working for you and get yourself to that goal of financial independence. And without sacrificing all the pleasures of life too.

Like many people, I came to FI though MMM. So, I started to look around & see what else is out there and came across this podcast. Both Brad & Jonathan are super excited about FI & their enthusiasm is almost infectious. They go to great lengths to simplify what can be a difficult and tedious subject for many people, namely managing and taking control of your finances. If you're in any way interested in the subject, then give them a listen and make up your mind. Plus, who knows, you might even end up reclaiming 20+ years off your working life for yourself!
