Making my favorite books better

This show has increased my enjoyment and appreciation of my two favorite books by a factor of at least 1.25 while being entertaining all on its own. I've listened along with Scott and Matt for all of Worm and Ward, and every episode so far analysing the chapters has provided valuable insight that I never would've had on my own. Even if you're a strong reader, I still recomend this show. It's at the very least a nice way to enjoy Worm and Ward again if you don't feel like rereading the books.

Doof Doof Doof Doof

WGW and DiP are the only reasons I have a podcast app. There are few better uses of time than to listen to the fine people of Doof discussing the various masterpieces of Wildbow and if you have yet to experience either then now is your chance.

Wonderful podcast, a must for Wildbow lovers

What an asset this podcast is to Wildbow's writing community. This podcast has got me through hundreds of hours of working in the lab, commuting, cooking and cleaning. I've actually become a lot more productive since finding it! When I tell people about Worm and Ward, one of the first things I mention is that there exists an amazing podcast that analyses and discusses the work in a way that greatly enhances the reading. Matt and Scott are funny, insightful and much more intelligent than I am when it comes to picking up all the small extra parts that would only usually be noticed on at least a second or third read. Whether you're listening after finishing Worm or listening while you read along to Ward, it allows the reader to expand their understanding of the books to a level that could not be achieved without it. If you have read or are reading either Worm or Ward, this is a must-listen. I LOVE THIS!

Tricked into becoming a podcast fan

I've tried listening to podcasts multiple times, but We've got WARD is the only one that has kept my attention. When illness delayed an episode's release, I went back to the first episode of We've Got Worm, and that plunged me into a re-binge re-listen. Listening to this may trap you in a podcast loop.
The analysis is thought provoking and incisive, the hosts are hilarious, and they show genuine affection and friendship towards each other. 10/10 would listen from scratch out of a need to get my fix again.

Intriguing analysis & a relaxing atmosphere

We’ve Got Ward is a great companion to the web serial. Not only does it let me spend more time in Wildbow’s wonderful world (yay!), it really helps me to improve my literary analysis skills. Best of all for me, despite the in-depth analysis, the light atmosphere and humour stop the podcast from feeling too tiring. I would really recommend this to anyone who enjoys Ward and wants to go deeper into the universe of Parahumans.

A pleasure but also I learn things?

I binged the entirety of We've Got Worm while doing extremely boring and repetitive lab work and it just about saved my sanity. We've Got Ward continues to make the experience of reading the Parahumans universe even more fun, and is a serviceable replacement for humans in real life to discuss this book with. Excellent banter between the two hosts and I also enjoy Scott and Matt highlighting and dissecting literary techniques. I feel real smart when I too pick up on them when reading Ward.

Helps get more out of Worm/ward

I just started listening to this podcast during the live publication of Ward. And it’s everything a podcast should be; makes you feel like there ARE other people out there that think about stuff like you - and moreover really know what they are talking about.
Listening to these guys has inspired me to reread Worm and listen to we’ve got worm after each chapter; because it’s helping me appreciate subtleties of the writing I didn’t get myself.

Extremely insightful

This series explores the themes and characters of Worm and Ward in a way that's both entertaining and educational. Not only do I have a much greater understanding of both stories than I did before I listened, but I feel that this series has taught me more about writing in general than many podcasts that are specifically about writing. I highly recommend this to any fan of Wildbow's work, and if you haven't read Worm yet, the quality of this podcast should be the final push you need to do so.

2(We've Got) Worm

A series that's allowed me to talk with my brother about my 2nd favourite serial novel. (Don't worry Bow, the first is Pact) Listen to it if you read Worm, and think you missed a spot. Listen to it if you tried Worm, and need a little push. Listen to it even if you don't, and those around you won't stop talking about it.

A masterclass in podcasting!

I went into this podcast because a love of the web serial worm, and expecting a bit of light fun to pass then time. What I got was a delightful mix of thoughtful commentary and occasional funny comments that had me laughing out loud.
I was not only amazed by the quality, but also by the detail that is picked up on during the episodes, the show brought even more life into a book I already adored!
If you’re on the fence about listening, then I recommend you give it a try, you might be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
And to Matt and Scott - thank you for all the wonderful episodes!

Incisive and Copacetic

Following Scott and Matt as they read through Worm is fascinating as they deconstruct the characters, themes, fights and twists. Great for both new and old readers, they catch details you may have easily missed in your first tense, hurried readthrough and Scott makes some clever predictions based on well spotted foreshadowing.
If you haven’t read Worm yet, I can’t recommend this enough as a reading companion. These guys are in it till the end and it’s going to be an amazing ride.
