I have never played DnD or know anything about it other than stranger things references.

This podcast really drew me in from the get go.

Characters are very thought out and interesting, sound effects/background help you submerge into the fantasy.

Absolutely amazing podcast, the production, the staging, the characters, the process...

I’ve just got back into D&D after an 18 year hiatus and this was just the medicine I needed to fire me up. It’s just a joy to listen to, the story is engrossing and you really feel like you’re part of the group, which is obviously a joy.

So yeah definitely give it a listen.

Actual Play dnd podcasts are one of my fave things and this one in particular is funny, sweet, clever and has some of my favourite players.

I’m still catching up on Join The Party (I’m on Pool Party IV atm) but it is one of the nicest podcasts that I listen to. The general fun, wholesome vibe really makes it a treat to listen to, and their message of inclusiveness is really good to hear in a community that can be a little gatekeeper-y (I know that’s not a word shh). Also, you gotta love gay fantasy weddings and cool gay teens.

This podcast is full of amazing characters and gripping storylines. It’s amazing for anyone who loves fantasy even if you have no clue about Dungeons and Dragons. I had never really looked into what D&D was before this podcast and now I am at the end of my first campaign with a group of friends that would never come together if this podcast wasn’t a thing. For that I say thank youuuu because now I can’t wait to meet up with my friends for our sessions every other week.

This is honestly one of the best D&D podcasts out there and my favourite podcast in general. The campaign is so fun and engaging to listen to and the Afterparty episodes (which talk about the episode, answer listeners questions and give behind the scenes info) are somehow just as enjoyable as the playthrough itself.

The characters (including NPCs) are entertaining, likeable and interesting, the story and worldbuilding is great and always makes me want to find out more. The episodes are just long enough to get a satisfying amount of story but not so long that I can never find time to listen to an episode all in one sitting. I can't find a single fault with this show and I can't believe more people aren't talking about it!

This is SUCH an amazing podcast! The production quality is fantastic, the characters incredible, and lots of queer characters too which was what drew me in originally.

Hilariously funny, at times wacky, and always entertaining. It's full of inspiration for DMs and players alike, so put on your party dress and join the party.

Found this podcast through Spirits, wasn't a big fan or just simply had no idea what was D&D. But now I'm loving it! Great people in the show, amazing adventures and beautiful characters to just fall in love with.

New to DnD but still love this podcast. Excellent storytelling and interesting characters

You survived Monday, well done, but then Tuesday comes along and rolls you out of bed into the cold. Urgh.

Except this podcast makes Tuesdays worth it. This is perfect for any D&D fan, whether you’re an experienced player or mildly curious- or even if you just enjoy a good story. The characters are engaging, funny and unique, and the narrative construction is top notch. If you enjoy TAZ, you will love this podcast.

JtP is hilarious, well structured, with top notch sound effects and editing. In addition, you can check out the after party where the quartet hang out and discuss the episode, character choices, the could have and could have not beens; which is very interesting. In addition, they explain new D&D terms and ideas for new players in a really helpful and easy to digest way.

I just really love this podcast. It’s so much fun! Roll a d20 and add your charisma bonus to party!

I’m completely new to D&D and I was kind of hesitant, but now I am obsessed. Whether or not I will ever actually play it myself I will still love this podcast. It’s hilarious and such awesome amazing way of storytelling and their After parties are so interesting and intelligent and bring a deeper complex meaning to the stories in the episodes before. Honestly one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. It’s completely changed my view of D&D and I’m so thankful.

(And Amanda just makes my wee queer heart swell and is the second best part of the podcast next to oatcake)

I dearly love this podcast. It is one of my favorite real play DnD podcasts. It's super well put together, and the characters are awesome. Especially Oatcake.

Seriously, while we wait and see what the McElroy’s do with their next arc this has got to be a serious contender for most fun narrative driven D&D podcast out at the moment.

This show even has the added bonus of having tutorial episodes to help newcomers getting into D&D for the first time. Plus they do the After Party episodes where they go over the decisions made in the previous episodes and even gain some insight into where the episode might have gone if they had turned left instead of right or crit instead of botched.

Production values are high with background sounds, character voices and the like. Seriously well edited. I can highly recommend.

Join the party embodies my favourite parts of d&d like, these guys were somehow able to make the perfect podcast tailored to my likings.

Everything they do here is in the spirit of fun and having a good time and the spirit each member brings to the table is too infectious to ignore.

I started listening to this podcast to fill the void in between episodes of other podcasts I listen to upon the recommendation of a good friend of mine and I have to say it really was the right choice. Excellent storytelling with compelling characters, cool people and just a whole load of fun! An all around critical hit!!

I love playing this game with my friends, it's so much fun hearing what stories other people come up with. Great concept!!

An awesome podcast for DnD newbies, with a great story to attract the more experienced set. My only complaint is that I have to wait two whole weeks for every episode.
