Inaccurate

I stopped listening to this podcast after the inaccurate reporting of the Delphi case. I realised I can’t trust what was being said on it, which is a shame as there have been many episodes prior that I enjoyed. I’m now wondering what else I have heard on here which I have taken to be true which may in fact have been a misrepresentation.

At least try to be unbiased

Normally love this podcast but coverage of the Delphi case is subpar. They have decided the defendant is guilty and leave no room for the possibility that they have the wrong guy. It is understandable that they see cases through a prosecution lens but they should try to be unbiased. Francey is at least trying. Jim being very defensive is frustrating.

Very informative with insider information and insights

Oh my goodness, why have I only just started listening to this. I’m an avid real crime profile listener and this is just as good if not better. So incredible to hear the inside story, feelings and emotions of the people fighting crime and giving us justice. Just finished episode 32 in tears.

So much information!

Francey and Jim are both brilliant people and podcasters. They are committed to educating people about crime, investigation, the judicial system, how to dodge high risk situations and protect yourself and your family as best as possible from offenders.
Francey is fabulous and Jim is great! Very noisy discussions but you can feel the compassion and empathy for victims.
Francey isn’t aggressive! She’s a strong compassionate assertive woman 💕

Wow- becoming annoying listening

Too much forceful talking over others by Jim - giving this podcast a break until he takes a breath. Such a shame as potentially a good podcast

Disappointing

Really wanted to like this podcast, but am sick of hearing Jim and Francey’s shouty, sweary presenting style. They both interrupt and talk over each other and their guests, which I think is disrespectful. I understand that they are passionate about their subject matter, but I can’t listen to the pair of them any more. Unsubscribing with immediate effect.

Host need to let guests speak

The hosts, especially Jim, need to stop interrupting the guests. Shame as the cases seem very interesting.

Nice when...

June 2022, I was there from day 1, sorry but last episodes I’ll listen to, Jim Clemente’s interruptions, egocentric ramblings and manexplaining have become too frustrating. Good luck Francey!

Good listen

This is a good podcast to listen to and would be great if Jim stopped trying to talk over everyone, let people finish talking before butting in

Concept great, format needs changing

I’m a fan of Jim Clemente’s from Real Crime Profile and wanted to like this. The concept is good and clearly there are some amazing stories to be told - if only the guests got the chance. I wonder whether it would work better if the first part of the podcast the person told their story and then the second part it was gone through again in a general discussion with Jim & Francey, where questions could be asked & points elucidated. As it is, I found it frustrating as guests clearly lost the thread of what they were saying by being constantly interrupted- often with quite inane points - making their stories slightly disjointed and harder to follow. I wonder whether one interviewer would work better than two.

Police Propoganda

Used to love hearing from individual police/agents but it’s such Police propaganda now. No acknowledgment that yes, the police & DAs do make mistakes or prosecute to wrong person.
Now it’s just Police-Good-AfricanAmericans-bad. It’s just unlistenable now.

Really?

Five stars for Jim; half of one star for Francine. Is she really that obnoxious IRL? That shrill? That interruptive? I would rather take a bullet than work with her as Jim does. Hopefully it’s an act...🤔

Decent

I do find it slightly ironic, as much as I know Jim is a decent guy, that he talks over Francey and won’t let her finish her train of thought.

To the right of Genghis Khan

As a UK listener I enjoyed some of the stories about some interesting cases but had to stop listening as the political views were alarming. Perhaps an indication of why law enforcement in the US seems so reactionary.

Love Best case worst case BUT...

Francey and Jim, I love you guys... But listening to Scott Roder on Oscar Pistorious was agonising.
It's not 110f and the barbed wire isn't there for the lions. He's either embarrassingly American and parochial or he's hamming it up for the story. Either way it's annoying and false. He's making it sound like he was in the heart of darkness. Give us a break Scott or stay in America.

Daniele van Dam case

Well presented Very interesting and traumatic case regarding the abduction of a little Daniele.
Shame the family had a designer dog had the dog not had its larynx removed (despicable practice) and had been able to bark the noise possibly would have deterred the abduction

Can’t get enough

So glad I found this podcast! Jim and Francey are a great team and are so experienced and smart! Even when they don’t agree, they show respect for each other.
I love the insight the podcast gives and helps me realise the hard work law enforcement does.
I want to say thank you to both hosts, all guests and all law enforcement who have to endure the worst of humanity and do a great job of keeping us all safe. Thank you!
Love all the guests, especially the reoccurring guests. Give us more of the Jim’s please!
I especially enjoy the bleeping when Jim gets fired about something!

Interesting cases but the momentum of the story too often interrupted with irrelevant chat. Found myself saying “do shut up and get on with it”.

Sitting on the fence

Episode was about case against rioters but no mention of Trump inciting them. Francey more concerned about poor outgoing president having to sit through an inauguration. I have unsubscribed.

Horrified

I have listened to many true crime podcasts and I am horrified by how the podcasters make jokes and laugh about people who have died/been dismembered. This is gratuitous and morally wrong

All about Jim!

I really enjoy this podcast and the variety of cases and information about the system. Jim has a really interesting history and I’ve yet to disagree with his fair, open minded, progressive and intelligent view on the cases they discuss. I whole heartedly agree with his view on the death penalty. I could listen to Jim all day long.

La Barbie

Wow! I watched Netflix El Chapo series where La Barbie was called La Muneca (The Doll) obviously for legal reasons. Fascinating to listen to the three part series with the agent talking about how big La Barbie actually got and shocking about the violent and destructive nature of an American citizen. Excellent journalism! I would love to hear more about the real Mexican drug wars.

Good and bad

The stories on this podcast are interesting and the guest hosts are brilliant. Enjoy Jim’s intelligent rants but what’s really putting me off, to the point where I have to actually turn it off, are the content of Francey’s overemotional rants to the point that I’m thinking ‘you are goddam deranged’ and I can’t believe she’s (or was) an attorney. Right wing and jumping to conclusions that are so blatantly those that an uneducated, blinkered red-neck would, don’t even cover her views and reactions. Love Jim, but unfortunately, Francey absolutely ruins it for me. What a shame.

My current favourite podcast

I love this podcast. Firstly, the story telling episodes with people working in many fields of law enforcement are just great. Listening to the latest (episode 151) while walking the dog I found myself talking out loud (Noooo!) much to said dog’s astonishment. But I also enjoy the legal discussion episodes and the obvious commitment to justice of both of the hosts - in particular their work on behalf of child victims of abuse. I might not always agree with Francie (death penalty etc) but I do enjoy hearing experts discuss what they know.

Easily one of my favourite TC podcasts!

Jim & Francine are incredibly knowledgable and passionate with every subject they cover. It has a good balance between being quite serious dealing with sometimes heavy subjects but there's also a nice lighthearted banter between them.
Ultimately, I just always feel like I learn something within the area of FBI, Forensics, Undercover police work, Criminal Psychology, Analysis etc etc which I don't feel I get so much from with other TC podcasts.

Absolute hypocrites

This used to be quite interesting but having had five episodes on the trot where these so called advocates for victims have just done a volte-face on everything they’ve said previously because one of them knows Brett Kavanaugh, I’m done.
Pathetic hypocrites the pair of them.
clare-louise-c
2018-10-02

No thanks

For a team that claims to be superlatively concerned with seeking justice for victims, I was shocked and appalled to hear the latest episodes eagerly attempting to poke holes in the credible testimony of Dr Christine Blasey Ford, particularly when compared to the numerous provable lies Judge Kavanaugh has told on the record and under oath during his many hearings. I don’t really have any interest in listening to podcasters who seek to prop up crumbling, misogynist institutions, nor those who happily deem a known liar as honest or credible, so I’m unsubscribing. Won’t miss Jim’s penchant for interrupting female co-hosts and guests.

Phenomenal podcast

Listening to these podcasts are such a highlight. The presenters are not only superbly knowledgable but also have a fantastic wit and charm to their presenting with clearly a deep mutual respectful relationship. Jim’s undercover story was nothing short of gripping. A big thank you to the presenters for everything they have done for victims and survivors across the world and for keeping child abuse top of mind for us as a society. I love you guys

Always Brilliant

I love the chemistry between these two. I also could listen to their own stories every day. I do wonder though why we have to hear details of how badly beaten the baby Sweet was because it is just too hard to listen to. Any gory details could be omitted in my book, the intelligent profiling and experience is spellbinding enough. My only disappointment is that the episodes are only 30 minutes long! Please! Make them longer guys! Thank you for giving us such a great podcast!

5 minus one for co-host

I really enjoy this podcast! The guests on there have very interesting stories to tell. And this is why i keep listening. However it is really hard to see past this narrow minded co-host Francey. How Jim can stay so calm with some of her views and weird analogies she draws is really hard to understand. I would love for you guys to just get rid of her. While I appreciate her wanting to get justice, especially for child victims, people like her are partly responsible for the flawed justice system in the US.

Amazing

I love everything Jim does such a fascinating man with so much knowledge and insight, I love the relationship him and Francey have and she is equally as fascinating and intelligent I respect their opinions and views on the cases and listen with interest every wk. I work in the uk as a trainer working with early years and childcare providers at spotting the signs and symptoms of child abuse so I especially enjoy those episodes and I learn so much but I enjoy all the wide variety of guests and experts every episode is gripping and I could always wish there was time for more. I would love to hear you both speak to Jim’s colleague I think Laura from real crime profile about her best worst case especially stalking related or domestic violence something I always want to learn more about. Thank you so for talking about these difficult subjects so we can take each tragedy as an opportunity to learn and prevent it from happening in future

Never doubt Jim Clemente.

I should have done as Jim C. Said when I first heard him mention Best case, worst case and listened to it. It’s so brilliant. One of the best true crime pods out there and believe me I listen to them all, twice.
Mr Clemente if you ever read this I promise I will never doubt you again.

Excellent

This is one of my favourite podcasts. It gets better every week. great to hear the side of law enforcment and other professionals. Francie is getting a raw deal. Though I don't agree with her views on gun control or the death penalty I admire her grit and determination to get her point accross and fight her corner. One for all real crime addicts

A grower

This podcast has really grown on me. Jim’s rants show how passionate he is about justice. Jim is also anti death penalty but not soft on crime, the world needs more compassion - now more than ever before. Francie is a good counterpoint to Jim and her experience as a prosecutor gives a traditional viewpoint, not one I entirely agree with, but one that also shows compassion for survivors and victims of crime. Bigger picture issues of crime arising from poverty, social injustice and ghettoisation are a little light on the ground, but there is time. The input from other agents, law enforcement officers and fire investigators give a wide and varied lens to the tough issues covered in this podcast.

Another smash hit!

Jim Clemente is slowly becoming podcasting God! Another great show from him and his co host Francie interviewing a variety of law enforcement officers/emergency service personnel about their best and worst cases. Really interesting content and added bonus of finding lots of new podcasts as a result!
