So relatable, helpful, reassuring and funny

I came across this podcast during lockdown in New York March 2020. I had only been living in the city for a year working in advertising and my long term boyfriend was back home in London. During this time i honestly binged the show and Taylor, Delanie and Kelsey became my companions during this difficult time. It was so refreshing to hear how other personalities similar to mine dealt with all things life and career. The girls are so relatable and funny and honestly has kept me going through a lot of difficult times. Self-helpless lead me onto books like Big Magic and the Artist way, and has been such a motivation to keep pursuing my passion for music. (Which has proven to be the best decision ever.)The podcast has become my go-to therapeutic ritual during my walks and I’ve recommended it to soooo many people. Thanks for doing what you’re doing!!! I cannot recommend this podcast enough

I accidentally stumbled upon this podcast after seeing Taylor’s Netflix special and now I cannot stop listening. These girls are so relatable yet hilarious and often tackle really difficult subjects of conversation in a really respectful and mindful way while still being so entertaining. I cannot recommend this podcast enough. Definitely give them a listen it’s what everybody needs to hear.

Is this what having friends is like?

Absolutely LOVE this podcast! I usually get bored of things and go through stages with what I listen to. But the wide variety of topics and hilarious hosts mean I just keep coming back to this one and it never fails to make me smile. I started out listening to all the key topics that relate to me and I have just kept going and broadened my horizons with topics I wouldn’t normally look into as it’s so addicting. As someone who had trouble at school and doesn’t have those ‘best friends’ that most people have to natter with from the good old days, and has struggled to make any since, this definitely fills a void. Y’all keep me company on my way to and from work and help me go to sleep each night feeling entertained, warm, supported and more confident and comfortable in myself, my life and my own self improvement journey. Thanks girls 💕

Covid Saviours

I found this podcast just as lockdown started and I’m so glad I did!
I’m quiet and am usually quite happy being a fly on the wall but working from home due to Covid has turned that into near complete isolation, sometimes going days without speaking to someone other than my partner who I live with (and who I also can’t thank enough for keeping me sane). My whole family and ‘closest’ friends live on the other side of the world so time differences mean I don’t get to speak to them very often and see them even less.
Finding this podcast full of lovely, empowering, relatable women has been a lifesaver for me. You’ve become my surrogate coworkers, allowing me to focus on my work (preventing me from being fired for not delivering) and listening to you all happily chat away keeps me sane. The version on you tube makes me feel like I’m with friends in times when I’m particularly low. You’re all so honest about the problems you face I feel less ashamed of my own. I’ve learned so much from you all and your amazing guests and as well as keeping me company I’ve also grown a lot as a person because of you all as well.
Thank you so much for everything.

Just get straight to the point already!

Gotta give it 3 stars after hearing your podcast on the secret. Took me 3mins or so to figure out when the actual topic starts as you blabbed on for a good 20mins +.
Would be helpful for future reference to quote in your brief when your episode starts. Other than that keep it up 👍🏼

Simply the best... 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Hello Delanie, Taylor and Kelsey!
I honestly just thought it was about time I left you the 5 star review you ladies deserve! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Never in my wildest dreams did I think you could love a podcast as much as I love selfhelpless. I discovered you three wonderful women back in March this year and was instantly hook, line and sinkered listening 2 podcasts a day until I completely caught up. I love how honest you all are about life and experiences and the good and the bad. I really do feel think I connect with you girls on so many levels, especially you Delanie 🙈! Even though we have never met! I’m Irish but live in London so if you are ever over in the UK touring or whatever let me know! Séana (pronounced Shana) x

Besties

I discovered Self Helpless over a year ago when I was on a minimalism kick (plot twist: still a terrible hoarder 😫) and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been depressed for over two years and Self Helpless has been there through the medication, the therapy, and the two weeks in January when the doctor signed me off on sick leave. It’s a cliche with podcasts and online personalities but you really do feel like Kelsey, Delanie and Taylor are your friends because they speak so honestly and are so close with each other. The Patreon is even better because of the trust level they have with us Helpsters! Basically, I feel less alone with my perfectionism, anxiety, depression and general control freakness when I listen to this, and I can’t wait to have my very own Dicks by Delanie DICK MUG 🍆🥕🥖🌽🍌🌶🌭. Thanks for everything ladies 💕

Mindless, Obnoxious, Offensive

Careless, half-googled self-help discussion without the support of someone with expertise or experience only contributes to the massive stigma and misunderstanding people actually with these issues have to endure everyday. The episode on Borderline Personality Disorder specifically contains wildly insensitive generalisations that is incredibly damaging and should not have been broadcasted without full and balanced research.

Stumbled Across, Happy To Stay!

I stumbled across this podcast whilst looking for a review on the War of Art book!
Found the presenter, funny, honest and at times outrageous which was hilarious! As a speaker in the Education market I have to use comedy to reach the students so hearing from comedians about their journey and creative process is awesome!
Also a welcome break from the personal development and marketing podcasts which I love but sometimes just need to breathe!
GREAT SHOW! Listening From England, UK
