Great personalities come across like a bunch of cyclists shooting the breeze and supping a beer. Egos and wheels all keep turning and make friends of the listener.
Love or hate Lance is a legend and I love he’s still living a big life out there

As I’m not always able to watch the Tour then this is a great listen to be able to digest and he main action of the day. Also good to hear some of the stories from a Lance and George about their cycling days. The show with Johan is very informative and detailed so really breaks down the tactics of the race from s DS perspective. Keep up the great work guys!

Huge fan of the podcast but the preview show is on another level. The strategy and tactical discussions really differentiate the podcast from anything else out there.

What was once a really informative podcast by Lance and George has become one long advert with a few minutes of cycling talk thrown in. As always some really good and interesting points but far too diluted. Lance is not quite as egotistical as I expected and can be quite funny at times and George is great.
The follow up show with Johan Bruyneel is really informative with excellent in depth knowledge and a real feel for what is going on and what rides and teams are thinking as the race develops.
If you only have time for one episode make it this one, although if you fast forwarded through the adverts and self promotion the original will only take 10 minutes of your time.
I just wish that they would all remember that Lance didn’t win any TDF as he was found to be a cheat and a fraud.

Now that Lance is AWOL the show is dead. I thought it was his baby anyway so without him the whole purpose/identity of the podcast is lost. The host has all the charisma of a paper bag and the Belgian guy isn’t pulling up many trees either

Top notch cycling podcast

This podcast is my primary source for bike racing commentary. Here, Lance, JB, Johan and George provide a diverse array of fascinating insights into many major bike races. In particular, their coverage of the Grand Tours this year has been fantastic.
I discovered this podcast in April ‘19 and have enjoyed listening to almost all of their 2019 coverage, even in retrospect; the commentary is a pleasure to listen to.
Please keep it up guys!
Many thanks,
Nick

I have been following these Wedu podcasts for over a year now and can’t speak highly enough of them. The “Lance and George show” is great entertainment and probably your introduction to Wedu, but Johan Bruyneel is the real deal and the reason to listen daily. Analysis and insight at Johan’s level is something else entirely and I am sure Lance and George would be the 1st to acknowledge that. If you only have time for one you will go first to the “2x JB” show and for those of us in UK/ Europe it is great they get that one out quickly enough for our evening entertainment. These Wedu podcasts deserve their high ratings and a big shoutout to JB Haeger for his ring generalship in shepherding all these big personalities into a coherent unit.
The Wedu guys are like the Startrek crew in that each individual brings something unique to the team and together provide something unbeatable.

If you love cycling and want an insight into professional bike racing you have to listen to this. Lance is amusingly cranky and opinionated while George is charming and almost always right. Johan is a genius. JB manages to referee the whole thing very skilfully. As a bonus, the products they advertise are relevant and interesting. Yes, I get all the betrayal rubbish but whatever you think of Lance just see see this for what it is - very good podcast.

Johan Bruyneel provides excellent analysis and has really raised the level of a show that was previously rather light on detail. Lance is a very entertaining and gloriously self-aware pundit and personality. JB Hagar comes over like the kid that sucked up to the school bullies to avoid a kicking.

But the things you don’t like about him make him really good at being an impartial observer in the cycling world - he’s got nothing to lose. But this isn’t about cycling, it’s about moving forward and Lance is actually a very good interviewer, keeping his guests at ease and the conversation smoothly flowing. Definitely worth a listen.

Lance, JB (and when the podcast is at its best) George Hincapie offer up insightful views, based on years of top level experience, that no other cycling podcast can match. However while Lance tells it like he sees it and does seem to show some contrition for past misdemeanours he’s still arrogant, brash, short-sighted and often just plain wrong enough to make this such an infuriating listen that I can’t always get to the end.
BTW Lance, don’t hate on DB at Sky for stupid PR mistakes that are due to an atmosphere on the road that you helped create.

I really enjoy the podcast and would certainly recommend it. One thing though is that it’s a bit revisionist, Lance is entitled to move on but the Alpe d’Huez times discussion was a bit much. Top ten times up it are generally tainted so let’s not pretend otherwise

Armstrong brings cycle racing alive to the non-expert. The depth of knowledge is a given. It’s the simplicity of his explanation and the frankness of his views that make it a must-listen-to show.

Great review of the cycling/endurance world from Lance Armstrong. Helped but JB, not an expert, someone who wants to learn as much as everyone else. I often find JBs input asking questions to be the best parts of the show. Really good knowledge all round and great fun!

Lance Armstrong is certainly a polarising character but there's no doubt that his knowledge and insight into the sport of cycling is second to none.
The problem with most cycling coverage is that it's generally like most of today's big names in pro cycling…. Dull and uneventful.
The Stages podcast is never dull thanks to Lance bringing his knowledge to riding to the table. I've been a fan of cycling for over 20 years and for the first time in 2017 I didn't actually watch any of the TDF on a screen.
The Stages coverage of the TDF was more entertaining, insightful, knowledgeable and exciting to listen to than any other coverage that I've tuned into in the last 5 or so years.
I Can't wait for this year's TDF coverage on Stages.

Just started listening to this and there are certainly interesting points being made. However, for me at least, this would be a better production if the focus and direction was better controlled as there was the tendency to often drift off the advertised subject material. Essentially I feel that the sessions need a firmer steer from the host to maintain focus but I will continue to download and listen. There is nowhere else to listen to a 7x TdF winner and that counts for a lot, I am pleased that you have found an outlet.

I listened to Stage 18 having never heard this before. All I can say is that it was sports broadcasting of the highest order. Natural, incredibly informative and funny too. I kind of gloried in Armstrong's downfall in the past but, fair's fair, he's paid the penalty and if he can turn out stuff like this good luck to him. I wish I'd found it at the start of the Tour. Catch it if you've not heard it before.
