Great shows with well written stories that are easy to listen to.

I have tried podcasts actually for sleeping but these podcasts just relax me so much

Just when I thought myths & legends couldn’t be topped, the guys started fictional.

These are amazing reads of classic stories & I especially like the Philip K Dick episodes!

In my humble but extremely accurate opinion one of the most pleasant narrating voices currently inhibiting podcast space.

Some absolute classics have been read here, if you’re a fan of gothic victoriana like I am, you too will adore Jason’s versions of Frankenstein, Dracula, Sherlock et al, they’re incredibly well done and I find them very relaxing and satisfying :)

Fantastic podcast great stories really well told

Too busy to read the famous stories of all time?! This is the podcast to listen to. Episodes sticking to around 45 mins, perfect 👌🏼 for my commute to work and back. Jason is an awesome narrator. Can’t praise enough of his story telling capabilities. Wholeheartedly recommended.

This along with myths and legends are my go to podcasts! I listen while doing my uni work.

Also a suggestion for this show is the merchants tale by Chaucer. Did it for English lit and it is honestly still great for a 13th century version of Hugh Hefner

Fictional is a brilliant podcast that goes into detail about stories from writers such as Arthur C Doyle - Sherlock etc.

Unbelievably good storytelling! I found this podcast through myths and legends (definitely give that a listen too) The stories are told in such a way you can’t stop listening and are left impatiently waiting for the next series (like me now!)

To call Jason’s telling of familiar and not-so-familiar stories wonderful is to leave no word to describe his interpretation of them. Witty story telling for everyfolk :)

I love all the twists at the end! You don’t see them coming!!!! Madhouse is my favourite it’s a little messed up but changed the way I think about asylums I would recommend this to EVERYBODY!!!! I was holding on to every word!!!!😱😱😱😱😱😱😰😰😰

I’m hooked to this! Stories adapted so well and made so entertaining. All the stories I want to read but never get to told in a detestable and fun way. Makes me want to read the originals. Can’t wait for more

A lovelly telling of many interesting stories. It has a very powerful way of drawing you in this show much as i find with book it truelly grabs you.

I listen to these everywhere and wait very impatiently for the next one to come out. They are so interesting and I love listening to every single episode!

Better than myths and legends i think!

I’ve been listening while working lonely shifts in the kitchen of the choir house in Canterbury cathedral. Loving the snarky and modern twists on classics, Call of Cthullu was fantastic.

Myths and legends is also brilliant.

I know there have only been a few so far but the quality of this is on par with the Myths and Legends podcast making it a wonderful baby sibling to it. It is superbly engaging, telling wonderful stories in an entertaining way. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Sublime, funny, sarcastic and so much like my internal monologue while reading, it’s scary.

This podcast takes classic literature and transforms it into an entertaining and accessible audio format. My only wish is that the episodes come more frequently because I love them so much!

Myths and Legends makes going to the gym not terrible. Fictional is even better. Still short enough but more immersive. A little dip with inferno I thought but the Time Machine was excellent. How dark will you go with Cthulhu? Can’t wait to find out.

Just as amazing as Myths and Legends podcast, love your storytelling style. And really enjoy listening to new or classic stories with your style. I'd never have time to actually find and read them all but this makes them accessible and much easier to digest on the go.

I started listening to podcasts in about March 2017 and, over the last 4 months, I have become accustomed to Jason’s voice traveling with me on my car journeys. He retold myths and legends with such a wit and insight I was concerned what I would do when I reached the end! Never fear, he has released Fictional, an amazing series of abridged books and short stories from the world of fiction. I am hooked. I had read a couple of the books already before hearing them being retold by Jason in his whimsical manner, and I have to say this series is as good as Myths and Legends. Well worth a listen and very entertaining on 3+ hour drives.

This was great I just can’t wait for the next episode I’ve listened to almost everything and sometimes I get thought 3 hours a day and on audible I’ve listened for over a month so I think I’m a pro at this and I think this is great

Having loved Myths and Legends by the same podcaster, I had high expectations for this podcast and have not been disappointed - it’s excellent, well written and well executed :)

Fictional takes the tried and tested format of Myths and Legends, and gives it a nice refreshing twist by going from folklore and legend, into straight up fiction.

Good fun and worth a listen.

I absolutely love this! Listen to them and myths and legends all the time! One slight improvement-maybe do it weekly instead of every fortnight? But apart from that I would and have- recommended it to my friends 👍👍👍👍👍
