Description

In the Happy Mum, Happy Baby Podcast, Giovanna Fletcher continues the conversation about motherhood she began in her bestselling book of the same title. In a series of frank and warm conversations with other high-profile mums and dads, Gi discusses all aspects of parenthood - the highs, the lows, the challenges and rewards. There is no such thing as the perfect parent, and we’re all simply doing our best, something Giovanna fully encourages. It’s time to stop comparing ourselves and champion each other instead. Each episode is truly unique yet unifying. No topic is out of bounds, therefore this podcast is essential listening for any parent seeking solidarity and support. A Pixiu production.

Loved the Duchess of Cambridge episode!

The chat between Gi and The Duchess of Cambridge was just perfect. Kate really is such a credit to the Royal Family. It was lovely to hear her talk about her experiences with motherhood.
I’ve listened to every single episode and love Gi as a presenter; she’s warm, honest, engaging and so down-to-earth. I think she’s the mum friend we’d all love to have! Each guest brings something new to the conversation - I was also so moved by the episode with Deborah James. Gi is able to deal with her guests sensitively and compassionately. A really great podcast.

The duchess of Cambridge

Absolutely loved listening to this. What a genuinely lovely lady she seems. It must be so hard being in the public eye like she is, and being a mum with the whole world watching. She does an amazing job. I really like her and what she stands for! Also loved your interviewing skills, as always!!! Keep up the good work both of you, looking forward to your next podcast, thank you xxxx

Great podcast for any mum needing reassurance

Really enjoyed the recent podcast with the Duchess of Cambridge. She is doing incredible work and I am sure it will make a big difference if not already. Giovanna is so warm and natural with her guests. It’s so reassuring that we all struggle sometimes and that is ok. I am officially a new listener

Amazing

This podcast has been my favourite for a long time. It has definitely made me feel less alone when I became a mum for the first time, and as I adjusted to having two children. Thank you for creating space for these conversations.

Wow

This was my first ever pod cast. I decided to listen whilst cooking dinner and everyone ale is their own world. I often feel guilty having moved from the UK to a small island in the Caribbean but listening to this and the emphasis placed on “small acts” made me realise I am probably very lucky to have this time so focused on my girls with no distractions. Wonderful interview....

Thank you

Trying to tidy the kitchen while baby and dad are sleeping but doing a terrible job because I can’t see for the tears of compassion for the other mums on this show. Only my third episode in but Kate, Rios wife’s experiences and honesty- wow, MotherPucker, I feel like I could just walk up to her and give her a huge bear hug...Slightly weird but I’m moved by her experience and honesty...Wow...Thank you so much for this!!

So samey!

Is it just me or are G’s interview techniques becoming increasingly boring? Incessant giggling and the same questions again and again! Awful interview techniques ! What was your childhood like? What was your labour like?... what was it like seeing your baby for the first time... change it up G!!

My favourite podcast

This has been the most amazing support in the first few weeks of motherhood. I listen in the middle of the night during feeds and it makes 3am wake ups not just bearable but enjoyable! I love all the episodes but the Davina McCall one is amazing and such a great support and I was so touched by the conversation with Amanda Holden.

Thank you!

I have enjoyed listening to these podcasts since I was pregnant. It was my first pregnancy and listening to all the birth stories made me less nervous about what was to come. It is so relatable and interesting to listen to. Thank you for making this podcast because they really have helped me on my journey into motherhood!

Needs trigger warnings

Firstly I have loved listening to some of these podcasts and I think Gi and the guests are brilliant.
However, I beg that you put trigger warnings at the beginning of particular podcasts. I have been picking different episodes at random and unfortunately fell upon two that really made me panic and upset.
I’m 6 months pregnant and therefore feeling very vulnerable anyway but had no clue some topics would come up and I had to stop listening because it was distressing but obviously I can’t ‘unhear’ what I’ve heard.

Simply amazing!

Gi has created an amazing podcast. I have listened to this since I found out I was pregnant! It’s so informative. I was so great full for the conversations that normalised the ‘not so advertised’ feelings of when you have a baby. They are so real and have made me realise there is no NORMAL way to feel when you have a baby. Fun & informative. Thankyou!

Funny and normalising

I have loved these podcasts- they are honest, interesting and funny and have helped me through the first few years of motherhood. I even listed to one during labour as it helped me relax! Fabulous podcast. Keep it up. Thank you

I’m not a mum but this podcast is such an interesting listen has lead to me following other celebrities online. Episodes with Chris & Rosie Ramsay , The part time working mum and ShaunT are among my favs.

Night time feed saviour

As a first time mum who openly admitted to not having the first idea of what to do with my Iittle bambino this podcast became my friend. During night feeds i didn’t want to put the tv on through fear of distracting me or the baby but neither did I want to be in silence through fear of feeling lonely or too sleepy.
I’d pop a podcast on and listen whilst I fed. Reassurance flowing out that my way was the right way as it worked for us.
Also listened to a few before the birth and my husband really enjoyed the podcast with G and Tom.
Thanks for the company during the early hours. X

Love this podcast!

I love this so much! I’m not even a mum and nowhere near becoming one but I love Giovanna so thought I would listen. I’ve listened to every episode and I just love hearing all the guests’ stories on their childhood and journey to motherhood! Great guests and good humour too! Take a listen!!!

Brutally honest, funny, relatable and informative!

I don’t have any children but love listening to everyone’s experiences and am hoping it will help prep me for my future of becoming a mum. I often laugh out loud or get teary on my walk home from work listening to this but it’s just so honest and that’s what I love about it. Giovanna is great and even though sometimes I’ve not heard of the guests, I enjoy listening to their childhoods and how they parent. Some really amazing tips on how people parent and deal with different situations and ages. One thing that will stick with me for when my day comes is HYPNOBIRTHING 🙌🏻

Honest. Moving. Funny!

Brilliant podcast! I started listening whilst pregnant with my first baby and can so relate to many of the discussions. I’d say it prepped me well and also given me inside into what’s still to come! I find your honesty is inspiring, Giovanna. A great selection of guests. Thank you for this. Definite 5 stars - one of my favourites.

Interesting podcast

I have enjoyed hearing people’s personal stories particularly from celebs I don’t necessarily ‘follow’. Amanda Holden’s story by far has been the best episode, whilst I have not personally been affected by baby loss it opened my eyes so much and really resonated with me as a mum, thank you for sharing!

So sad it’s over

Bonus episode already??? So sad.
I am 24 years old with no babies and no sign of them anytime soon, and I have absolutely loved listening to every single one of these podcasts. I have listened for months while I commute to work, and cried numerous times on the way (crazy crying girl, that was me)
I am now so sad it’s over, but am happy to know that these podcasts are here for whenever I feel like going back and listening again.
Please make another.
Thank you Gi.

Thank you!

Gi- I just want to say thank you! I found this podcast when I was pregnant with my Little Man. It has helped me through the difficult times of him arriving 9 weeks early! Hearing Shaun T’s interview about his twins coming early, made me feel like I’m not the only one! I’d love to hear more people talk about their challenges with people who had babies really early, so I can relate to it more!
My tuesdays are made so much better when your podcast comes up on my notifications!
So thank you for giving me online support without meeting!
Lots of love! Xxx
