After stumbling across a link to one of the podcasts a few months ago I took the plunge and got into the world of podcasting and what a revelation that has turned out to be. A broad breadth of subjects and a commendable array of experts bring hitherto unknown subjects to life and leaves me better informed and always cheerful. I don’t always agree with all the views expressed but I find it healthy that my own views are challenged. Ed and Geoff have great chemistry which shines throughout every episode. They’ve made me laugh and yes they’ve made me cry. Compulsive listening with excellent production values. Don’t stop guys as my word we need some reasons to be cheerful these days.

Ed Milliband is funny....who knew!?

As a long term labour supporter, I'm ashamed to admit I was never a fan of Ed....until now. I wish his public persona then had been a true reflection of this brilliant, interesting, funny and super inspiring podcast which shows us the world as it could be rather than the debackle it currently is. Hope when all is dark! Ed & Jeff for supreme global leaders!!!

Thanks Geoff and Ed for podcasts of such brilliant quality. Both entertaining and educational and furthermore inspiring. The inspiration is to get out there and to contribute to the efforts to tackle the injustices so frequently highlighted. Cannot believe that the podcast is not much higher up the chart.

Full of ideas and positivity

One of the better political podcasts. I like that guests are given space to express their ideas at length and they're treated with respect, though neither Ed nor Geoff is afraid to challenge something they may not agree with. The matey bants can get a little bit wearing at times, but who knew Ed Miliband could be such a swear-monster?

More than just cheerful!

A great show with great hosts that’s not only cheerful, but also interesting, informative and important. They’re talking about big ideas that can help change the world, and we should all do the same!

Insightful, fresh, an opportunity for and common sense to get some airtime. If only they forced their guests to eat insects whilst dancing a cha-cha on ice and singing classic rock ballads, they might have gained the ear of our current government.

Great ideas every week i wish Ed had been this radical as leader, Good humour, Ed is pretty funny, going to give it 5 stars anyway my only problem is i miss the podcasts being as long as they were at the start

Great way to explore a twinge or policy ideas in a way that makes everything accessible, whatever your previous knowledge of the topic.

Great production value and Format. Very funny and times and both hosts come across as genuine
But I feel the topics discussed are more preaching to the choir, rather than a serious academic discussion of new ideas or things happening in the economy. I was expecting to be informed about new big ideas instead it’s a rehash of old left wing ideas
Guests are allowed to spread misinformation unchallenged and Ed Miliband seems to have shifted to the left since he was Leader, makes it difficult to identify with issues he raises

A brilliant podcast

I was not expecting this. Just started listening to this as had heard Geoff covering Danny Baker. Very pleasantly surprised. What a thought provoking series. If I had known that Ed was going to be this good, if I lived in the UK, I would have voted for him! Great topics. Thank you.

Easy, accessible yet in-depth discussion about political ideas that identify solutions rather than just problems. Manages to be both entertaining and not simplify issues too heavily.

The PM we didn't deserve. I wish Labour had won in 2015 but had they, we wouldn't have this delightful exploration of ideas that is across politics not in rigid party lines. Informative with great guests who present interesting ideas. I would happily live in the Geoffocracy.

A cheerful way to spend your time!

This is one of the best podcasts around, it’s incredibly informative and makes you genuinely believe there is an alternative out there for most of the problems in life, society and the world if only the powers that be would think differently and listen to genuine people instead of continuing with experts who just keep doing things in ways that history shows will fail... all politicians should listen to this and then be brave enough to try some of the ideas... The podcast is also very funny at times and immensely entertaining regardless of the topic being discussed. An easy 5 star rating.

I didn’t know much about Ed Miliband before hand but god, I wish now he was leader of the Labour Party. He’s so sensible and considered.
As the title implies I always feel reassured and positive about the world listening.

I’m always quoting things I’ve heard in this podcast. It’s fantastic at taking a complex subject and chewing it over in an intelligent and comprehensive way so that listeners come away better informed. Entertaining too. Who knew Ed Milliband was such a funny man ... great on-air chemistry with co host Geoff Lloyd.

I've been really enjoying this podcast over the last few months. It's whiled away a number of long drives and turned them into informed listening sessions. Its light hearted but informed nature covers a number of pressing and challenging subjects and has enlightened me around a variety of topics. Keep up the good work Ed & Geoff.

I must admit, since the sky bet adverts I have hugely lost respect for this podcast. I totally understand the need to get advertising but surely both of those things are against all that you stand for! Sky, a murdoch company that is expressly neo-lib. And app based betting, a scourge on many low income families, particularly as it is so easy now. I know it shouldn’t but the presence of these ads taints the rest of a programme that I’ve enjoyed a lot in recent months. No more will I recommend to friends 😢

Okay I’ll admit I’m a bit of a leftie so the topics covered are my jam! However, Ed and Geoff cover each topic from both sides. Sometimes I’m blown away by the statistics that are talked about. I thought something by Ed would be really dry, but actually he’s funny and of course smart! The bromance of sorts also makes the podcast enjoyable every week!

A favourite podcast of mine. Although I don’t subscribe to all of the ideas it’s certainly interesting to hear the arguments. One of my life goals is now to meet ed (I’m not too ambitious a person). How life could have been different if ed had become PM.

Why the Annoying Announcements?

It's a good podcast - but it's a podcast which I've gone to the trouble of finding, subscribing and listening to, so why do I get an announcement ten minutes in telling me what it is? It's not like it's a radio programme I've stumbled on while tuning across the bands.
One star for being stupidly and pointlessly annoying.

I should've known that the broadcast genius that is Geoff Lloyd would only be involved in a quality podcast but Ed Milliband was the dark horse that has both surprised and delighted me. The subjects are great, very thought provoking and the plethora of guests are fascinating. This week I've left with a Ted Talk to watch from Dan Pink about motivation and a need to get more involved with my community after Keri Maclean's suggestion for Community Service for all! Thank you both for this hour or so of my week which is both educational and entertaining!

Even appeals to my teenagers.

This pad cast has made dinner time arguments so much more interesting. We no longer stick to the tried and tested topics like who should clean out the garage and why. Now we are lectured regularly with ideas from RTBC by our teenagers. Such an easy way to hear about ideas and thoughts which would otherwise seem too ‘boring’.

Highly recommended

You need an editor for this podcast - they are too long and the format of three two-on-one/one-on-one interviews in row of people pretty much saying the same points is very dull.

What a pleasure to hear ideas being debated rather than argued about. How positive to learn from other countries how they are dealing with the same problems we are having. What a joy to be able to listen to different points of view without the interviewee being harried, bullied or points trying to be scored.
An intelligent and entertaining podcast, wherever you sit on the political spectrum and so brilliant to have some positivity about the future instead of non-stop whining and kvetching. Ed Milliband is probably the best PM we never had. Well done to Ed & Geoff for opening up the debate.

Was very disappointed with Ed as leader of LP as he never seemed comfortable in his own self, but how he’s grown since, really brilliant in this role, articulate engaging, funny and insightful. must invite him round for dinner.

Not what I expected but have enjoyed every episode so far. Some thought provoking topics discussed (UBI, Rent Control) and some good guests.
Keep it up and let us know when Geoffland is released.
Of concern - the episodes are getting much longer. Personally 30-45mins is much more manageable than the latest... nearly 2 hours

If you want some witty banter, some curiosity and intriguing discussion on topics regarding the many things that effect us all in everyday life and beyond, this is for you.
Hooked from the first episode, a great team with excellent chemistry. The selection of guests always contribute well to the debate of the week and it will pique the curiosity and leave you wanting to continue the discussion.
