One “I’ve gotta say” too many, the most annoying theme music in podcastland and Steve frantically pleasuring himself over the sound of his own voice.

After 12 years, I’m done.

Still plenty of banter which can be entertaining in itself.

Sadly over the last year I have found myself at odds with a number of reviews.

I have concerns that:

Samsung products get awarded the highest possible awards and scores even when it’s clear they cheat from other reviewers.

Films released in the non physical format in 4K HDR releases don’t get a mention even when they are the only way to get them. In fact there is an occasional unfounded criticism of this format.

I find myself disagreeing with many film reviews.

They spend more time chatting about their own lives them AV and HiFi. Why not call the podcast ‘Three Grumpy Men’ instead.

And I thought I was a bit geeky with a little OCD thrown in for good measure... You guys top it.

It's my Monday morning pick-me-up. Quite a lot of the stuff you review I will go and research afterwards and I must say, your reviews and comments do influence what I consider purchasing... Even if I'm an AVI Speaker fanboy...

Love the podcast. All are thoroughly stand up chaps and good banter. In particular I appreciate the regular segment dedicated to TV and Movie reviews, which is quite rare among the AV podcasts. It’s a good reminder of why we obsess over this stuff; to enjoy content!

Distinct Personalities, great production values, on topic stuff expert level factual, off topic stuff brilliant. Best spoiler free movie reviews in the world.

needs chapter info to help me focus on the stuff I am interested and optimise the time i have to dedicate to this podcast.

In general this podcast is entertaining and informative however I find myself heading for the fast forward button each time PH starts banging on about his Mustang or fat club. He also tends to constantly interrupt the other members of the podcast. The podcast would easily be a 5/5 if it wasn’t him.

Great information and reviews of AV products, sadly marred by strongly voiced opinions such as ‘ Star Wars has a feminist agenda. ‘

If misogny and 1980's style purile humour is your thing, then this is the podcast for you.

If you're looking for an informative podcast about the Audio video industry then you're probasbly better off looking elsewhere as these guys will simply waste your time with rantings about feminist agendas before begging for a five star review. Utter rubbish.

Excellent podcast with amazing TV information and brilliant British humour. TV stuff especially is mega in-depth like their You Tube also.

It’s like being in a group of mates chatting in the pub but the lovely feeling that you can just relax and don’t have to contribute.

This is great listening for anybody interested in AV. Especially entertaining when the presenters go off on a tangent on an unrelated topic or reminisce on old equipment. Don't change the format its just right.

Great information and all round entertainment. Not sure about the new theme tune!

Have listened since the early days and love the informative and sometimes humorous reviews - they don't take themselves too seriously and have a great rapport.

May there be many more podcasts to come.

The guys gel together really well. There's a video expert, an audio expert, a gaming expert and some bloke who buys way to many UHD blurays!

Knowledge, humour, pathos, intelligence, irreverence and sometimes irrelevance - AV technology news delivered with a laugh and often a rant. Unmissable.

Well established podcast produced and presented by a group of experts/enthusiasts. The best source of information on the AV scene and underpinned by a great website. You can't ask for any more, especially with the added element of humour ( and even cooking recipes in the past ).

Love this! It's my weekly (if we're lucky) AV news fix with some witty banter thrown in for good measure. Sometimes has me crying with laughter! Keep up the good work!

The AVForums Podcast is my staple of podcasts and I wait patiently for the next episode. I will not be buying any TV or AV equipment without their insightful knowledge and reviews. As for the amusement factor - I walk to work listening and must look like a complete loon while I laugh at some of the banter. Well done guys and keep up the good work. 5*****

What a great podcast, from basic to the more advance, something for everyone with an interest in hi-fi to AV. More like a comedy sketch but unscripted sometimes which adds to the whole experience. Thanks Chaps 5 star with ease. (Diversify with a female member of the team?)

They have made me spend far, far too much though...

So refreshing to hear experts talk in an accessible way without dumbing down.

It’s a popular saying among idiots, but ‘quality bants’ really does describe this informative, jovial and addictive podcast. Although hosted by experts, they never make the listener feel excluded and they explain a lot of the difficulties which go with being at the bleeding edge of new tech and the fun of established kit. Might make your wallet hurt with some of the cool stuff featured.

A real good listen for anyone interested in Home Cinema or anything Audio Visual. I genuinely look forward to my weekly fix of news, reviews, updates and general chat. Keep up the good work guys !!

I have been building and upgrading a home cinema system on a budget for over ten years, mainly by purchasing nearly new kit from AV Forums and similar sites.

This podcast is a great way to find out what might be possible - eventually.

I enjoy the team discussions and home entertainment news. I usually agree with the reviews.

I find this a great podcast to keep updated on the latest home cinema tech and features. My wife would hate it though with all the HDR, 4K, ultraHD, OLED acronyms that she already winds me up over whilst calling me a geek! She'd still let me install ceiling speakers so I'm not bothered :)

The Inbetweeners of the Podcast world. There is a distinct lack of "clunge" but plenty of "cogging" going on. A bunch of mates shooting the breeze, having a laugh but managing to be very informative with a good range of features and reviews. Highly recommended and entertaining listening....

This is the perfect podcast for when I'm driving. Informative without being stuffy. They cover all elements of AV hardware, films and associated items.

Excellent podcast, strikes the perfect balance between being entertaining and informative. The team also have a great rapport which helps.

Takes the edge off long walks with the dog in the rain!

If you have any interest whatsoever in getting the most enjoyment from your tv, film and music by using decent kit, this is the podcast for you. Expert yet comprehensible, sharp and technically fascinating but always entertaining, this is a benchmark podcast and surely the best in its category.

The best, most informative AV website in the UK and Europe - and right up there in the world. Covers electronics (home theatre) and media (blu-ray, UHD, cinema). Informative, funny and a world apart from the high-street glossy mags that want you to purchase sub-par items at above-par prices. Keep it up.

Not only everything you wanted to know about AV but a drinking game as well. Every time REC 2020 is mentioned you sip a beer. I started this five years ago and am now an alcoholic.
