Here’s a game to play while listening to this podcast. Count the amount of times someone says “in terms of”. You’ll easily be into the 20s on every episode. I’d say to try it as a drinking game but since John Kennedy is the caretaker Celtic manager just now and “in terms of” is all he says the drinking game would probably kill you

Filled with ex Ragers players who are basically the new club cheerleaders so it’s low quality punditry apart from Richard Gordon and Michael Stewart who are true professionals!

It's a fairly good programme with plenty of coverage of football all over UK.

However, employing the ear burning Michael Stewart and rent-a-critic Tom English is letting the BBC down. Stewart is a complete and utter moron who makes his pundatry up, and the man is obviously bitter that he never played for Rangers as every chance he gets he trusts to use his media position against them.

There's plenty of better pundits and journalists on there and those two would be better off binned.

Been listening since it’s inception and usually excellent but getting ready to delete due to Jane Lewis. Her presenting is terrible as she is unable to complete even the shortest sentence without stammering through it. Bring back Craig Gordon for live games and reports

Today’s podcast was a total cringe

A formerly great podcast. Excellent production & often great insightful interviews but has become a must skip whenever Tom English is on. His personal & hysterical vendetta against Neil

Doncaster & the SPFL when there was no painless options has passed from boring, to tedious, to unlistenable.

Lots of great fan podcasts & general Scottish football podcast are more consistent

Talk about flogging a dead horse. The same panelist’s on daily with the same personal issues saying the exact same rubbish .

Tom English as a journalist is a joke. Craig Levein is a shambles.

Deliberately leaving out facts to back up their own claims

This guy just seems to want an argument with anybody that comes on the show.The way he talked to an interrupted Donald Findlay was shocking and ignorant.He seems to think the Old Firm should be bailing out every other club in Scotland

This podcast is a microcosm of Scottish football. When it’s good, it reminds you of how much passion there is for the game in this country, and how much potential exists for a really exciting product. But when it’s bad, it reminds you of how trivial and amateurish Scottish football is, where Chick Young’s autobiographical account of his career passes for entertainment.

But overall, I do enjoy listening to this podcast, more so when someone interesting is being interviewed, or when there’s a well-managed debate on a particular issue. Four stars.

Great show, great chat. But it is frustrating that not a single episode throughout covid has addressed whether or not the *fans* are happy with 1) the voting structure 2) the things being voted for and 3) the broadcaster-driven requirement for four Old Firms a season that is just taken as a given. Most fans would relish a change to 1), are interested in many of the options of 2) and would drop 3) in a heartbeat. The fans’ views could do with more of an airing. I relish these podcasts; I’m English but bored of the EPL; this is a pure tonic. The coverage allows the listener to consider the on-going story of Scottish football.

I love the debate and the passion. Great quality reporting. The contributions are excellent with people never afraid to champion an alternative opinion. Good stuff this.

I’ve listened since the live radio show became a podcast a few years ago and I agree with a lot of the other reviews. There’s not enough going on for this many episodes per week, one or two would probably suffice. And unfortunately it’s become the land of conjecture and no constructive input. Once football is back I’m sure it’ll go back to being the great show it was but until then I can’t listen to any more “it’s not good enough from the SPFL” without any suggestions on how to improve things or any insightful journalism.

Scottish football is in disarray. It’s the year 2138. Tom English’s grandson reports live from a 2 bedroom apartment built on the old Copland Road stand and bemoans the loss of the new Rangers in 2021, whilst claiming all of Celtic’s league wins since are tainted.

I see the show is getting abit of a hard time from some reviewers. I think considering there isn’t any football being played they have done well to still continue with show to be honest. I think there is a good variety of topics and not just the 2 Glasgow clubs. Just last week there was a full

Show on Dundee United and another on Aberdeen, there has also been good coverage and guests from lower leagues

Unsubscribed from this nonsense. They’ve continually flogged a dead horse without providing a single alternative solution nor being able to articulate what it is they don’t like about current football governance. “There’s something not quite right” is not enough!

I feel I’ve downloaded 14 versions of the same episode! Dull, dull, dull!

He is way out of his depth in these programmes but seems to be getting even more airtime....he keeps telling us the bleeding obvious and has no real opinion of his own... can only presume he is the Rangers voice on the programme...

He’s a total turn off....

I’ve never listened to such a biased programme in all my days - usually sportsound gives both sides of the story and you get a balanced view.... not Thursday... all present including the host were unreal in how they backed Sevco...

Bring back some neutrals or its switch off time for me!

Listened to the post spud gun release by rangers and this is a disgraceful listen.

The narrative is so biased and aimed towards the SPFL doing wrong it’s an absolute shocker. Because the SPFL responds within an hour or so, they have been disrespectful to Rangers, yet they can call for the heads of two key figures, shout about bullying etc (then later deny they ever did after already retweeting that very same day!) and the SPFL have to be bent over and take it?

You lot have made a total mockery of yourselves in this entire debacle. A riot of a show, so one sided it’s unreal and actually cringeworthy

Scottish football has enough problems without Thompson getting airtime each day.

Offers zero analysis, repeats what everyone already knows, and has an appalling lack of football knowledge (current and past) given he is supposed to be an “expert”.

Far too Rangers and Celtic centric with the same favourites picked as guests. How about shining a light on other figures and areas of Scottish football? Tell new stories?

This podcast has a cheek calling itself the Scottish football podcast as it never discusses anything outside of the 2 horrible Glasgow clubs. The ‘pundits’ are terrible with very little insight into Scottish football apart from... yup, you’ve guessed it either Rangers or Celtic. If you like hearing the same old stories being rehashed over and over again then this is the podcast for you.

Truly awful podcast and if you’re lucky enough NOT to support either half of the bigot brothers then there are plenty other podcasts out there.

Get Michael Stewart on. Keep Willie Miller, Pat Bonner and sack the rest and presenters apart from Tichard Gordon.

The treatment of Michael Stewart is a disgrace.

Congratulations on getting rid of an opinionated pundit with no soft spot for either Rangers or Celtic. We can now look forward to hearing more from the likes of Pat Bonner, Derek Ferguson and Billy Dodds... with a sprinkling of mind numbing blandness from the rest of the usual contributors.

Is there any chance you can stop automatically taking pods down after seven days? I like to build podcasts up, particularly when I’m off work so I can listen to them at a later date and find I can’t hear older ones because you’ve been quick to take them down. Other than that, good show.

Mostly a decent listen but could be doing with mixing up the participants a bit more - same old school fitba guys that played the game 30 years ago can be slightly tiresome.

There is only one person worth listening to.

On a night when two Scottish clubs played in the Europa League, I thought I had tuned into a new BBC Scotland Celtic channel. A channel obviously run by Celtic minded people for Celtic minded people, but payed for by all of us license payers. I would highly recommend this podcast if you are a Celtic supporter. In depth analysis of Celtic, sycophantic interviews and non stop cheerleading. If you happen to support any other team, find something else to listen to.

I work near New York and it is a great way to catch up with everything Scottish football and hear the Scottish voices!!
