Just found this podcast and got years worth to get through. Listened to 10 and all 5 star. We get loads of untold stories . My only gripe is they don’t want the players to talk wages or contracts.

Really funny and totally honest, makes a change from most podcasts or books with sportsman. It’s great that I didn’t know this was out, means I can listen to this from the beginning and binge it. To anyone who thinks there are too many ads! It’s free! If you don’t want to listen. Click it on a bit, but they have to earn some cash and pay for expenses. They go all over the place. A current EFL player recommended this to me and suggested I started with Mick Rathbone episode, which was earthy and hilarious.

Since then, the last few weeks have been engulfed by catching up on each episode since 2018 of former player’s honesty, struggles, victories and antics.

This Podcast proves it is not Famous Names required to be popular, but the content and camaraderie between Guests and Presenters. I particular like insights and opinions of Managers, Assistants and Referees.

Countless stories are a regular reminder of instances I had forgotten and laughing out loud in company is now commonplace for me.

I have now been joined Patreon for the extra episodes.

From the out and out filth, depravity and hilarity of some of the stories to the honesty of some players dealing with demons this is essential listening for any football fan.

Only just discovered this but have found myself binge listening whilst out hiking. Love the variety of guests from across the EFL and the genuine insight it gives into the world of professional football.

What I love the most is hearing the sometimes very personal stories of the people interviewed. As much as the piss up stories were funny at the beginning, what really makes this podcast great is when the interviewees go beyond drunken nights out and talk about their relationships with managers, teammates and battles with mental health etc. The Dean Windass and Ryan Cresswell episodes were my favourites even though I’d didn’t know who the latter was.

Keep up the good work lads, and please now you’re established, try and get your guests to focus on digging some more dirt on former teammates and managers rather than focusing on unsanctioned nights out on pre season tours…..

Oh and if you could get some more former Wednesday players on that would be great.

A podcast suited for any lover of the beautiful game, funny, insightful & always guaranteed entertainment. The array of different guests from the various levels of the English game always make for brilliant stories & provide insights to some of the games most memorable characters.

Always lifts me when I’m a bit down or need something to listen to & it’s brilliant to now see how far the pod & lads have come, & it’s only going to grow.

I discovered this podcast in lockdown and I’m hooked. Think I’ve listened to all episodes and I’ve not come across a bad one yet. If you like giggling like a school girl this is the podcast for you

I think the guests and stories are great but sometimes it feels it’s a bit “lads lads lads” and a guest who isn’t quite like that might help break it up from time to time.

This is one of my favourite podcasts and my no 1 football Pod . So many amazing stories in this no hold bars show , All 3 hosts are so good together and are hilarious together, such a breath of fresh air hearing ex footy players tell so many great stories , Thankyou lads !! Scotty boy

Listen to a lot of football pods and this is the best for me. Watched Chris Brown at Norwich and he went on to have a very good career - seems hard on himself - you don’t play champ level if you are not excellent at what you do!

Working thru the back catalogue and recommending all my mates do the same. Lads come across superb. Currently on Rowan Vine which is decent. Will be signing up for the subscription service. Need more players with Rangers connections on tight enough! 🇬🇧

Absolutely amazing. These are the football stories we want to hear!! Not ones about the money and the glitz and glamour, the proper dressing room stories and pranks from working class grafting players, dare I say it, old school……..Find myself in tears laughing almost every episode. Unreal guys, keep up the good work.

16 minutes at the start of adverts and nonsense before getting to the episode is a piss take. Decent pod otherwise.
