A failed experiment requires you to find new solutions until you have formula that fits you don’t have binary process which leads to A vs B . Because it depends on range of variables or els you have bias SO listening to the process unravel has been fascinating BUT the maths of this experiment involves real lives ALL I know is that I want us to stay in the cost will far greater to the most vulnerable as such this failed experiment needs an emergency stop AND we need to say we are staying !!!!!

CA episode - kudos all ‘round...almost.

Folks, thanks for the terrific podcast...again! Much as I’d love to give gold stars to all of you at The Guardian, I’m afraid that Alex H really came up short with his casually dismissive comment about the potential effectiveness of social media. Carole was probably too polite (& collegiate) to take him to task on air, but really, an IT specialist (30+ years myself) working in journalism really does owe it to the wider, less IT-literate (they’re allowed to be, it’s ok) audience to explain the how & the why of “...how this stuff does/doesn’t work”. Please, it’s not a casual throw-off puff piece that needed. Thanks.

Dawn Butler’s comments

Dawn Butler’s comments were astonishing and not questioned at all by the interviewer. Comments like “86% of austerity falls on women”, and dubious stats about sanitary products. And she accused the conservatives of producing posters that abused Diane Abbott.
There was no intensive questioning about these dubious claims. Very poor.

Podcasts and any other form of media should be balanced and look at all aspects of each story. This podcast is bias, vapid and tries to push its own agenda. If you want to be uninformed about the world this is the podcast for you.

Dear Guardian,
Pleaese can you fix your podcast feeds on iTunes. I have not been able to listen to or download your podcasts for approximately the last week. This has been the case for this podcast and Football Weekly, so I am assuming it is a problem across your podcast portfolio. Unsubscribing/resubscribing to the feeds and uninstalling/installing iTunes has had no effect.
Thanks.

Good bite sized update on the current election campaign, however, Mr Owens please stop the constant Conservative bashing and be a little more balanced in your reporting. This podcast aims to provide a well rounded and succinct overview but the constant digs and jibes sounds more like a politician arguing their party policies and delivering low blows to their opponents at every given opportunity.

Woohoo!

I'm a conservative voter and always have been, but I even I love and look forward to this podcast every week. It's well produced and some great discussions on there too. My biggest problem with it though is that it is waaay too left wing for its own good, I know the Guardian is a left leaning paper but it would be nice if the presenters weren't ALL left wing corbyn supporters, particularly Owen Jones who has nothing but gushing praise for Labour and never seems to occupy the centre ground or has anything positive to say about any other party.
As I said, great podcast and long may it continue, I just wish that the presenters were a little more impartial, maybe have someone on the panel that is more right wing to balance it out a bit.

This podcast I have given just two stars, because the journalists are living in the London bubble. With no idea about how the rest of the country feels. They heavily stereotype the rest of the county. Making false claims as if it was the 1990's. They are failing to see what is bubbling under the surface.

Politics podcast used to be a great summary and discussion of the weeks events using Guardian journalists. Simple and engaging.
It's now a dull mix of endless vox pops (that add no enlightenment) and fairly vanilla interviews. Bring back the old formula (like the NS pod) or kill it.

I enjoy reading The Guardian, but this podcast often feels far too ideological. I know that The Guardian tends to lean left of centre but I try to avoid partisan views when it comes to politics. Lately these podcasts have had no guest to play the Devil's advocate - which is pretty poor for a show that wishes to paint itself as a serious discussion floor for politics.

I'm usually a fan of this podcast but this last edition seems to have been poorly edited. The female contributor's sections overlay others and seem completely out of sync. Surely someone listens to it before it goes out? It made sections unlistenable.

I really enjoy this podcast, evidenced by my constant checking to find the latest available. It is also ahead of rivals. I do however feel that it would benefit from contributors drawn from a broader political spectrum to offer greater challenge, particularly on economic matters. I'd like to jettison the music that sounds like it's been badly programmed on GarageBand, but other than the above, great stuff.

I listen to a variety of podcasts daily and this is the one I look forward to most.
Well informed journalists who know what they're talking about discussing key issues in an entertaining and engaging style. I especially look forward to Michael White's contributions.
Would love to see this appear twice a week.

Even as a Tory I look forward to listening to this Podcast. But with the exception of Tom Clark, everyone has a very blinkered left-wing view and seems unable to even acknowledge that the right ever have a valid opinion. However I do honestly enjoy the podcast and it is certainly a high quality production and better then any other paper's podcasting effort.

On holiday, and despite promising myself that i wouldn't, I just had to download the latest edition. It's entertaining, informative and miss it terribly if I can't hear it each week. A brilliant podcast.

Not 'politics weekly', Labour love-in weekly.

This podcast covered the election well, but it is simply too partisan and too far left-wing to abuse the title 'politics weekly'. This week's show took the biscuit: it offered an extended opportunity for one of the Labour leadership hopefuls, Andy Burnham, to set out his platform. The panel interviewers lapped it all up. Not one challenging question was put. Not one explanation or justification was demanded. No opposing views of other candidates were put. Ms Stratton only pushed her interviewee once. And then only to catch a confession soundbite. I know the Guardian leans left, but British politics deserves a fuller account than this unashamedly partisan podcast.

I'm studying Politics at A-level and wanted a light yet informative podcast that could keep me up to date with the world's politics. To be honest I never thought such a thing would exist but The Guardian have proved me wrong. I really enjoy this podcast for its entertainment value as much as its educational benefits, and a lot of its substance has helped me to to take part in in-depth discussions and arguments with my tutors. A really good listen for anyone of any political stance.
