You can’t have too much parkrun

Despite the brickbats heading the way of this show, I rather enjoy it!
Have long been a fan of Vassos and a friend of Louise and I feel that they spark off each other rather well!
As I said in the title, there’s no such thing as too much parkrun so it’s very nice to have another perspective!

parkrun show?

Sorry guys - as much as I love Louise, gave up after a few weeks of shows.
Vassos doesn’t come across as though he gets parkrun.
Would be a great show about ultra running.
Unsubscribed and deleted those not listened too.

Feature more park runners!

I listen to this podcast every week and the more enjoyable episodes are definitely those that interview the grassroots of parkrun eg the run directors like Olwyn, the people who have hit milestones. The ultra runners and elite athletes who use Parkrun as their tempo run not so much. Louise is a Parkrun tourist, give her a microphone and get her to interview the people at the parkruns she goes to every Saturday: the different volunteers, the normal people like the rest of us who we can relate to!

The right length for a 5km easy run and listen

This is an entertaining and knowledgeable podcast about parkrun. Keeping it under 30 means that you can still listen to it on an easy 5km run.
I love Louise’s enthusiasm and knowledge on parkrun. I like the professionalism brought by Vassos and producer Patrick.
The only one downside is the feature when we hear which parkrun Vassos has not run each week....this is a podcast about parkrun so would like to hear about parkrun experiences not unattended events. Other than that a really enjoyable listen!

Got me to parkrun!

Having recently completed couch to 5k, I had been thinking about going to parkrun, registered and downloaded my barcode... but then didn’t get up the nerve to go. Parkrun sent me that email - trying to persuade me to attend my first one. At the bottom was a link to your podcast, and as Vassos makes me laugh every morning on radio 2, I thought I’d give it a go. By the time I’d listened to 3 episodes of the podcast, I realised there was nothing to be scared of, I would be welcomed, and it didn’t matter if I walked some of it. So off I went, and loved it. So now I listen to the podcast while I’m running parkrun. :) fun and informative, and keeps me going. Can’t be many people who listened to the parkrun podcast before they’d even been to parkrun!

Great podcast for all the parkrun community

Really enjoy listening in to the chat on this show; very entertaining. It’s motivating me to get started at my local parkrun, which wasn’t around when I was able to run years ago.
Keep up the great work!

Content

Hey guys, its only a 29 minute show. We need parkrun discussion and not other content!

Focus on parkrun

I thought this podcast was meant to be about parkrun.
STOP talking about yourselves,
ONLY talk about parkrun.

It's for everyone

There are lots of things about this parkrun I enjoy. Some of the guests have been inspiring, and good to see the balance shifting towards more 'ordinary' runners and more women. It captures a lot of the flavour of parkrun and the presenters are quite engaging too.
If I have a criticism, it would be that the section on what annoys people feels out of place. I know that some people have things that grind their gears about parkrun, but for me, parkrun is a joyful, positive thing that ultimately is free and run by volunteers and easy to do and become involved with. I know that some people like to apply a lot of rules to parkrun - even jumping on others who spell it with a capital P - but I think this quickly becomes off-putting.
I think what would make this an even better podcast would be a regular feature recorded at an actual parkrun - it can feel a bit studio-based whereas there are a whole wealth of stories and ordinary people out there who it would be great to hear more from. Maybe instead of the 'What's vexing/ailing...' section each week, we could hear from runners about 'what got you here today?' It would also be good to be able to look out for Louise or Vassos each week recording something from a different parkrun.

Meh

All this does is confirm the almost ‘cult like fanaticism’ that comes with parkrun (not a race)

Volunteering

What a great podcast
Just a note to say, on the volunteering, a lot of us do our bit for other sports and parkrun is our little bit of “ me” time with similar minded people
Most do help out when we can, so I am with Louise, and like to run
