Been listening every week since its inception. Riot Act offers a smart, funny, and insightful digest of alternative music. Stephen Hill in particular has had a huge influence on my life (I’m sure he’d be devastated to know that) and I can’t thank the guys enough for turning me onto all the best bands I had never heard of.

Great podcast, makes me laugh and introduces me to tons of new bands. Keep it up.

I wondered where Mr Hill and Remfry had gotten to! Brilliant to hear them again. Best news is I’ve now got 50 plus episodes to catch up on. Happy daze!!! 😁

If you enjoy alternative music (and this is a huge umbrella in this case) then do check out Riot Act. I’ve found endless love for new bands I’ve never heard of and old bands I’d never appreciated thanks to Remfry and Stephen, who keep me hooked with their charm and hilarity in every episode.

Hill and Remfry are that rare breed of intelligent music fan that just get this stuff. They've introduced me to hundreds of bands and I've no doubt they'll introduce me to a hundred more. It's a joy to listen to and is the kind of clued in conversations about alternative music that don't happen anywhere else.

What a great pair of gents. Enough banter to keep you smiling but still full of content worth hearing too.

Incredibly knowledgable hosts provide incredible insight into alternative music, past and present.

If that isn’t enough they’re also very witty and cause me to laugh out loud on my train home every Friday, much to my fellow passengers’ annoyance.

I look forward to this every week. Hosts Stephen and Remfry know their stuff and have a great relaxed chemistry. The bredth of music they cover is pretty vast. It's also often very,very funny. Plus, any podcast named after a Pearl Jam album has got to be worth a listen right?

I sincerely enjoy the comedy stylings and chat of Remfry and Stephen.

They cover a broad range of topics including:

-international alt Rock (think Chelsea Wolfe, Palm Reader and the like)

-classic albums such from bands such as The Stone Roses

-puberty

-alcohol

And other such joviality.

Steve and Remfry are like two rectangles, and together they make a square which is also a kind of fortress.

Informed, articulate and entertaining podcast on Alternative music.

Stephen Hill is a festering bell end coated with rancid, stinking knob cheese. His arrogant, self righteous opinions are amusing if nothing else. Dedman is good tho. Has a good way with words and knowledgable and open minded . Decent podcast . Wish Hill would wipe off the guy liner and wind his neck in .

Quality podcast, knowledgable hosts, good chemistry between the two of them, great guests so far and just a whole bunch of fun.

But the file sizes are absurd, there is no way a podcast needs the audio quality of that kind of bitrate. Means it takes an age to download and I have twice now had to make space on my device by deleting things just for the podcast to fit.

Well some people.

So good to have Hill and Dedman back together, putting out reviews that are knowledgable and insightful. More than just keeping me up to date with releases and shows, I feel like have a greater understanding of music for listening to the show. Keep it up!

Essential listening for anyone with a passing interest in alternative music.

I’ve been a fan of Stephen Hill since his Metal hammer Podcast days. The bloke has a mix of super fast and sometimes cutting wit along with a vast knowledge of music. Renfry is the ideal co host where he isn’t afraid to disagree but knows equally as much. With the added bonus that they let each other finish what they are saying before talking.

This podcast is about all alternative music and a lot of us metal heads don’t just listen to metal. So give it a go. You’ll be glad you did

These two have an encyclopaedic knowledge of alternative music, and the overall vibe here benefits from the fact that they also seem like pretty decent humans. A vast improvement on the previous venture you may have heard them on. Both hosts here give each other room to talk, and they talk a lot of sense. Broad interests, but due consideration given to everything from Celtic Frost to Sigur Ros and everything in between. I fully geeked out on this one.

Both Stephen and Remfry (what a class name) are incredibly knowledge about music and their natural connection makes riot act one of the most promising music podcasts about. I cannot wait to hear the weekly episodes; well done lads!

If you want some to blow smoke up you a## go some where else. If you want honest talk about music from people who don’t care about up setting people Stephen and Remfry are excellent. A great rapport and a not afraid to disagree with each other well worth a listen.

These guys clearly know their stuff. I was so sad to see Hill leave Thats not Metal, and now I am glad I still get to hear from him on this new one RIOT ACT.
