James dyer is a bit of a legend

I haven’t enjoyed a TV review show since Boyd was on Richard Bacon’s show. It has taken a while for this to be not only be replaced but supplanted. I love Boyd, I love Terri but that extra special ingredient is James. I want to know what happened to Sisko, I want to see the new kwisatz haderach. To honour James I am going to watch the Shield to see what I have missed out on.

An enjoyable podcast which would hugely benefit from some editing to keep a bit more punchy.

There is great chemistry between the hosts. However episodes are often spoiled by James' obsession with shows like Star Trek and his need to bring them up randomly and go on tangents far too often. Also find there a few too many 'in jokes' which are often hard to follow as a listener.

Excellent podcast - good range of different show to think about during the week. Terrie and Boyd are fantastic! There's also someone called James - he tries so hard to be like Chris Hewitt, hopefully over the next couple of years will get to his level.

Great podcast with fun reviews, has pointed me to some superb tv series that I have missed over the years. Congrats to everyone involved in a brilliant podcast 🏆

As much as I enjoy the wit & wisdom of Terri & Boyd, I find myself strangely drawn to James, even before he pulled the Dead Like Me card in the Banshee section. Going through an old Empire podcast, I find he's also a Marshmallow so definitely Team James !

Overly profane, massively indulgent, superfluously waffly... yet somehow quite compelling!

This is the best podcast, not about TV but anything. Better than Empire Movie Podcast with Chris Hewitt.

The banter between James, Terri and Boyd is almost Shakespearean. The insights are deep and moving.

Most importantly though the winner for this pod is James, whilst in the past he could have been a cult leader using his charm and wit to move everyone he meets.

Now he is leading his own pod and does so in a way that brings you in to the fold and you can only basque in his most amazing personality and intelligence.

He is genius of our time, an Adonis of our generation and a mother Teresa of entertainment journalism.

I’m off now to find a FB fan club for James Dyer and if I can’t find one then set one up.

The five stars are all for Terri. And nobody else.

The Pilot TV Podcast contains within it a microcosmic reflection of our own psyches. We all wish we were like Terri. We like think we're like Boyd. But in all likeliness, we're really a bit more like James Dyer.

James has always been my favourite on the Empire podcast – as much for his views on the things he hates as for his taste in the things he loves – and this heightens all of his quirky, angry brilliance. Terri is lovable and loud. Boyd is really knowledgable and insightful. The podcast I look forward to most each week.

Always look forward to this podcast on a Monday- great chemistry between James,Terri and Boyd. But most importantly it’s very funny.

And of course the vag insights from Terri.

I finally started listening to this because James Dyer was always banging on about it on the other podcast he co-hosts and I am so glad I have. It’s insightful and hilarious. Teri is causticly clever and Boyd is wonderfully wise. It feels like a group of mates in the pub that you wanna be friends with.

James and his cronies provide a great mixture of information, tv news and reviews combined with humour and a genuine love of the medium. Don’t always agree with their views but always worth listening to. And Terri leave James alone. He really can’t help it. More to be pitied than scolded.

Loving the show guys. It's got a little something for everyone. Enjoying the chemistry between the presenters who each bring a different perspective which makes the podcast have a great balance between indepth reviews and witty banter (mostly at James' expense - don't stop!)

A very enjoyable podcast to listen to, really enjoy listening to Boyd and Terri take the piss out of James.

Much like the Empire film podcast, it’s a bunch of people who genuinely love TV sat around a mic discussing it. Love the banter. Terri makes me laugh out loud every week. In this new age of amazing, cinematic television, this is not to be missed.

Look forward to this podcast every week. Funny, insightful, always makes me laugh how James refuses to laugh at various shows, Terri has the most glorious laugh/cackle, and can one call Body the voice of reason? Consistently brilliant, keep it up people, many thanks.

Really like this podcast and look forward to it every week. Boyd’s recommendations are almost always spot on (loved Broad City - thanks Boyd). What to say about James? His assertion that he can’t abide comedy of embarrassment but then seems to love everything by Julia Davis who has produced surely the most cringeworthy TV of all time baffles me. Let’s just say he is an enigma. Also like Terri’s feminist take on things. Keep it up!

Considering that hardcore sci-fi and real-life misery documentaries are about as far away from peak TV as I gets this podcast still manages to find essential viewing in an age of unlimited choice. Shame the presenters can’t get past their predetermined biases.

Perfect example of what is wrong with podcasts - too 'in', too long, far too rambly and too fanboy. Needs a strong editor. Such a shame as the 2 contributors are brilliant! Better tv podcast is MUST WATCH from 5 Live - funny, sharp and more accessible.

Love James and his nerdyness and Terri and Boyd are amazing! If you love tv, this is a great one to listen to!

This podcast is funny, informative and generally a good listen. I’m not a huge tv fan so this is handy to learn what to watch and what to not waste your time on. Unfortunately for me, the only bit that lets it down is Terri White and her raging feminism! Now I’m all for equality and everybody being treated the same, but Terri takes it to another level. This is a woman who would give a 5 star review to an ITV drama about a strong female lead who rebels against doing the washing up because she cooked the meal and doesn’t feel she should have to wash up as well. Thus ensues a dramatic and uplifting story about women standing up for themselves and going up against the horrible, controlling men and not washing up. Other than that, great podcast.

What a great entertaining a hugely funny podcast! This really does brighten my week every week! All presenters are fantastic and really know their stuff with great wit and informative reviews, just please please please turn down the lady’s mic her voice is really shrill!

Did Terri used to live in New York?..She never mentions it.

It is a testament to the balanced presenting styles of Boyd Hilton and Terri White that i keep coming back to this podcast, as they manage to counteract the presence of relentlessly bloody minded smugbot, James Dyer. Terri and Boyd gamely give us insightful commentaries on TV shows, while the over inflated ego of Mr Dyer crashes around the podcast like a barrage balloon that has come untethered from its moorings. Irritatingly, he has also somehow made this review all about him. Curse you James Dyer. Curse you.

I've kept the star rating but am changing my review! This is like Points Of View if Barry Took was massively sweary and opinionated. The Explicit tag has never been so better used, and I wish I had the time to watch everything that they're on about.

Great podcast that covers all areas of TV. James Dyer is great, no idea why he takes so much abuse. I’ve heard for a Trekkie he is also a passionate and considerate yet aloof lover.

As a tv addict I throughly enjoy the pilot tv podcast. 2 out of the 3 hosts do an an excellent job. However, much like the Empire podcast the quality is hindered by James Dyer.

His input is marginal at best (when he can be bothered to watch the tv shows that are being reviewed). His latest misstep was to make Michael Jackson pun jokes before Boyd Hilton delicately described the up-and-coming Leaving Neverland, Michael Jackson child abuse documentary James made a timid apology after Boyds description of said documentary, but unless James has been living on the moon he was clearly aware of the content of said documentary.

Thankfully Terri and Boyd provide insightful reviews of the tv shows reviewed which make the podcast a worthwhile listen.

Look forward to the show each week as you lot make me laugh out loud so much . Just like a family gathering where two of my kids are always on the case of the third one( sympathies James).

Always give your recommendations a go although struggle with the comedies . Must be an age thing the Julia Davies shows just pass me bye. Keep up the good work

I’m a big fan of the Empire film podcast so when I heard that they were doing the pilot TV podcast I was fully on board. I have not been disappointed one bit found some really good shows by listening to these guys talk I even like James

Boyd, Terri and James are the perfect combo, Boyd and Terri watch the shows that need reviewing and James comes up with random segments that he’s told no one about (I presume to keep them on their toes!!) while insisting comedies generally aren’t funny.

Always enjoy spending time in their digital company, would recommend to anyone who’s a fan of good TV (rather than most of the rubbish that’s pushed upon us, ‘insert any celebrity based show here’ for example)

Top quality podcast and I gave in today and bought season 1 of The Shield for a fantastic bargain price of £1.85 🤣🤣🤣

Boyd manages to make a lot of good points and interesting input inbetween James dicking around and Terri shouting loudly about James dicking around.

Funny podcast for many reasons, good bit of banter between the hosts and conflicting opinions about shows does create a little comedic tension. Quite how the host James Dyer can think Friends is better written than Seinfeld????, still hasn’t watched the now classic Number 9 and can't bear to watch Alan Partridge (my Dad is the only person that I know that can’t watch Alan and he likes Emmerdale - I rest my case) does make me wonder how much I can trust mr Dyers opinion?? But definitely worth a listen if you watch TV avidly. A good supplemental podcast to empire.

‘The North Water’ is a great book and when I read it I immediately thought it should be made into a film. Gritty, gory, violent, crude, all human emotion. Farrell is a good fit. Looking forward to it!

Love it , Empire but for tv. James deserves a pay rise

The range of shows reviewed is of a generally high calibrate, but with few really interesting insights from the hosts. I can’t help but feel that this could be a genuinely good podcast with the exclusion of James Dyer. His lack of understanding for comedy is just one of the things that makes it clear that he is woefully under qualified to host this kind of podcast. If he could go off and do his own marvel podcast while the adults talked, this would be a must-listen.

Great banter between the 3 hosts, wish the episodes were longer though! James is hilarious and his tastes, comedy aside, match mine almost 100%. This is the perfect partner to the excellent Empire Film podcast. Well done Terri, Boyd and James. 5*

Such an informative podcast that for the large part works really well. But please James Dyer, enough with the ‘hilarious’, wordy introductions each week, and stop banging on about The Shield and Star Trek.
