Listened to poisoned arrows one three times in a week. Laughed so much and got fired up about the fate of west Papua

Hugely inspirational

The lives and stories that are described in the interviews of this podcast are both hugely inspirational and completely spellbinding. I find myself so engrossed sometimes that I realise I've stopped breathing through holding my breath. It's nourishment for the soul and affirmation of what life is really about — adventure, in all its myriad forms. Sincere thanks to all who contribute and put this podcast together.

This is easily one of, if not my favourite podcast. Every conversation Matt has with the guest is so thought provoking and inspiring. Covering not only the exhilarating aspects of adventure, but also the more hard hitting and sensitive sides of it as well. It doesn’t matter where I am, after every listen I immediately have to pack my bag and have my own little adventure.

I’m absolutely loving these conversations. Matt has a gift for quiet listening and the guest are fab. I’m just working my way through them one by one, non-stop, now I’ve found them! Inspiring, interesting, funny, terrifying. I’m transfixed by trying to understand the way these fearless explorers and adventurers seem to take the adrenaline hit with a different level of calm. Just a bloody great set of interviews. Great job Matt. Also I’m the Mum of a 16 year old hating school and it’s all keeping me going, reminding me how many ways we can all build a life, aside for the 9-5.

Yes it low budget and the sound is a bit echo’y but it’s the content that makes this so good. Hopefully with some support with advertising and these reviews this will be sorted out in the future. Like I said it’s the content of the podcast that makes it so good.

Having only recently found this podcast, I’m hooked. It’s wonderful to hear remembered tales of adventure first hand, from real people. And it stuck me why, having listened to so many outdoorsy podcasts from across the globe, why I connected so instantly to this one. Being a Yorkshireman with a strange sliding accent, it’s somehow so familiar and gratifying to hear many other regional tones spoke by those being interviewed. Having grown up with the media mostly narrating in the Queens English, and having spend adulthood listening to tones from over the world, to hear the undulating dialects of my home country is inspirational. Just like hearing Palin speak of 80 days travelling way back when, in a sheffield accent, my home town. I feel inspired to listen to ordinary folk do extraordinary things, ordinarily. Excellent stuff, crack on!

Diverse, addictive and entertaining

This is a no fuss, brilliantly compiled podcast where Matt Pycroft’s gentle and curiously inquisitive yet subtle manner gets the best out of his guests. It’s so refreshing to listen a host who lets the story unfold and doesn’t intervene in the conversation if it’s flowing naturally. Nice work team TI!
I couldn’t recommend this series high enough.

Glad I found it
