Description

We all have limits. And some people who are pushed beyond those limits will do unspeakable things. In “Tally,” the first season of OVER MY DEAD BODY, Dan and Wendi are two good-looking attorneys whose wedding is featured in the New York Times. But when this “perfect” couple falls apart, it leads to a bad breakup, a worse divorce, and a murder case involving a menagerie of high-priced lawyers and unexpected co-conspirators. From Wondery, the team that brought you “Dirty John” and “Dr. Death,” “Tally” is a story that says as much about love and marriage as it does about justice, revenge, and the lengths some people will go to get what they want. Hosted by Matthew Shaer.

This podcast starts off really well but then halfway it veers off and I just felt lost. I listen to podcasts whilst working so if it got my full attention I may have followed it better

Starts off ok.

Starts of ok. First couple of episodes are worth a listen but it got to a point that when a new episode came out I’d forgotten what the story was about. There is no ending.
Bring back Sword and Scale.

I love this show, well researched and presented, just wish the trolls would pipe down and give it a rest about other issues, take your soapbox somewhere else. This is a great series 👍👍👍👍👍

Not supporting wondery anymore after silencing & censoring the freethinkers at sword and scale. Absolutely disgusting display of weak mindedness, how on earth could I take any of your other works seriously?

Inappropriate ads and amount of ads

Does the advertisements and the amount of advertisements make anyone else feel a bit sick? They’re profiting off a death. It’s gross to hear of a tragedy and then HEY MY FRIENDS AT THIS START UP MATTRESS COMPANY ARE LIKE TOTALLY AMAZING five times
.... really?

Excellent !

Really enjoying this podcast, I’ve only been listening to podcasts these past two months and this is on of my favourites. I also look forward to the updates weekly. Need to find another one to replace this once it’s finished.

Way too many adverts

The content is okay, but there are way too many advertisements. It would be best if they had the adverts at the beginning or end of the episodes like most podcasts. But this way, there’s no way to fast forward without missing something.

I’m a big fan of true crime podcasts and this is one of the best I’ve listened to - it’s a fascinating story and the way the police investigation is woven into the narrative really makes this a must-listen. I don’t know this case so was gripped as the story unfolded. Always pleased when each episode drops - it brightens my morning commute.

Be patient as it gets really good

The first episode is very slow and with all too frequent adverts (which you learn to fast forward through) but eventually the pace picks up to a compelling story. It’s not as good as Dirty John but is still another recommended podcast from Wondery

I love this podcast. It tells the story without the hosts whittering on or laughing hysterically at their own poor jokes as in quite a few others. It is well researched, well written and well delivered. People who don't like the adverts should stop moaning and pay for the podcast and get it ad-free. It isn't possible for me to pledge money to all the podcasts I listen to and I am hugely grateful to be able to listen for free. Podcasts take a heck of a lot of time and effort to produce and I really am grateful that sponsors of the podcast enable me to listen for free. I can't wait for the next episode. Thank you for a very interesting and professional podcast.

Hard to respect Wondery shows knowing they support Sword and Scale, who’s host is a rampant racist, sexist, victim-blaming, transphobic. I suggest you go get your crime fix from other places: LPOTL, All killa no Filla, etc

Too slow

I gave up on this. I’m a huge fan of a lot of wondery podcasts but this one lacked the intrigue for me. By episode 4 I was still waiting for a twist, something that made me think, but it was a straightforward story that probably should have been told in a single episode. Very surprised at the reviews.

Totally recommended!

This is compelling material and apart from one recording that was unclear the podcast has good production values and has clearly been well-researched. It’s an interesting look into the lives of a seemingly golden, almost smug, middle class couple whose lives go drastically wrong.
